Yeah that shit has bamboozled me five times already. You used to be able to run 2-3 zone or make an emphasis on contesting the perimeter in transition on the fly.
How about CPU changing the matchups mid game? Can that be fixed or nah?

@@t_rexx5880can confirm it was not fixed. In the playoffs and they put nickeil alexander walker instead of gobert on Jokic I had to check every possession that they didn’t change it back

Do you mean Play Now Online? If so yes, it should save and apply your custom settings there too

Yes, you can set that under Defensive Settings by toggling to the player and selecting who they'll be guarded by. You can also do this in-game by tapping L1, selecting the player on your team and then who you want them to guard

I noticed the game changes my defensive settings. I don’t want Jalen Brunson to guard curry. I’ll put OG on him and a quarter later it reverts back.

This is the worst playnow experience on a 2k I’ve ever had. 35-13 this year, 47-3 last year…
Don’t even try to run the 2-3 zone. You can paint mash it the whole game now. Closing out? Nah bro you’re not.
Gotta find the best shooting cue that works for you and find a way to get stops on def

@@CTHESI I found a new way to score efficiently though, but it’s cheese. Call for a Post up and dropstep/spin, it won’t work against lakers/bucks, but paint defense is so bad it’s guaranteed 70-80% shooting, most of the time they bring a double and you gotta wide open 3. I cooked Kristaps all game and Chet is a cone as well.
