"Messiah"
This is a song I wrote about a month ago about a young kid named Messiah Williams. He lived just at the very end of my street and was murdered in the midst of prideful dispute and a complete lack of empathy. I live in a part of the city with a subculture that shows no remorse to others or express concern for collateral damage when they try to "justify" their violent retaliations. We have begun to make change, as I notice just yesterday coming home from church, a couple young kids playing and laughing outside innocently. There's places even in my neighborhood with people reaching out and trying to help others. People with very little, helping people with very little, is the true dwfiniti of caring for one another. Many are speaking against the violence, and I implore that it's continued to be done. As the death of this child last month shows though, we have a long way to go. But a way we must take #MessiahWilliams
