HIV Patient 'failed' by NHS Trust which delayed surgery because of virus

Walsall Manor Hospital has apologised to a patient with HIV who had routine surgery unnecessarily delayed because of the level of cleaning and infection control they said would have been needed afterwards.
The Health Ombudsman has ruled doctors acted inappropriately and failed the 48-year-old whose identity we're protecting.
In our interview, we've called him Peter and his words are voiced by one of our producers. He agreed to speak to Lewis Warner about his shock at the stigma he never thought he'd see from medical professionals.
