  • Did you know the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban had 3 completely unique version from different developers? This game came out on 5 platforms back in the day (PC/PS2/XBOX/GameCube/GBA) and in this video, I'm going to compare every one of them.

Please, keep doing these. This series is going to be a great warmup before Hogwarts Legacy's launch. I'll definitely rewatch and look for things to compare and see how the games evolved over the years.

To me this was the end of the Harry Potter trilogy of games. I say that because the first three feel very similar and seem like a combination of not only the books content but the movies as well. Every game after this was strictly based on the movies for the most part and even the likenesses of the characters were straight from the film's where as the first three have a more stylized look.

Little mistake, "all three playable characters can ride Buckbeak". Last time I checked, Ron can't.

The battle perspective in the GBA looks almost exactly like Golden Sun, also on GBA

This guy's reeeeally good. His sense of timing is bang-on perfect. He does the cutaway gags like the Metal Gear reference and the Benny Hill gag and doesn't spend too long on them so they don't outstay their welcome and make it cringy. I want more of these.

I would absolutely love to see future videos on the remaining Harry Potter games. Even though there aren’t different versions to compare, I feel like the series just gets so wild and random past this point that it’s still worth looking at.

The GBA game looks like it took some inspiration from Golden Sun.

I often heard people say that the Order of Phoenix game had the best explorable Hogwarts, so I would be really curious to see a video covering that game as well!

The Ps2 version was my favourite growing up. This video brought back loads of nostalgia for me

Nostalgia trip! Really enjoyed watching this. I loved both the PC and GBA versions as a kid. I think the GBA game was also my first RPG! I would love to see you look at the other games as well. :)

The first 3 Harry Potter games are a shining example of the Golden Age of licensing in video games during the early 2000s. Right up there with the likes of LOTR: Return of the King and Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

I played the PS2 version. Here are some of my memories of it:

One fun and weird future Harry Potter game: Order of the Phoenix on DS. You actually battle by turning the DS. I don’t want to say much more to avoid spoilers, but it’s super unique. Only seen a couple games on the DS that have done that.

I think the canon explanation as to why you can't use the broom was that since Sirius Black is at large they put a spell on Hogwarts' grounds so that no one can fly into the castle by broom.

Watching the beginning, I convinced myself I didn't play this game as a kid. Then you showed the PC gameplay and the memories immediately came flooding back. Thanks for reminding me of the childhood memories I'd completely forgotten about!

I had this on the GBA. It came packed in with the SP I got.

The Gameboy version is nostalgia gold for me. The music is absolutely phenomenal, the art style and animation are gorgeous, and I love the RPG execution. It's everything I ever wanted a Harry Potter game to be, and replaying it years later is always fun.

The GBA game was one of my favourites growing up. It was my first non-Pokemon RPG, as well as my introduction to the concept of New Game+! I can't tell you how many times I played through that game at Lv. 100, just smoking enemies with max-level spells and chocolate frog abilities.

I used to play all these games until Ps3 gen. Now I'm over 25 and find everything boring but your videos, priceless reviews. Keep it up
