A man who believe in him self no matter what 💯 and stood his ground and the truth
With the permission of Amos and Eban Roach as detailed in an SBS article I have been slowly making my way through my collection of this great man's music. As a white Australian Archie Roach's music made me aware of indigenous culture in a way that the formal education I received in the 70's, 80's and university in the 90's never did. It built a desire to learn and understand and even sent me to the Kimberley to work and live alongside a people I would never have had the opportunity to learn from.
On the 30th July 2022 Australia has lost an important, even integral, part of itself. Vale to a great elder and educator. Your presence will be sorely missed.
