      you have to download them to your phone and then when you connect to your car you can see them. I was confused at first but then just googled and found out how to do them.

    Just bought a 2019 Camry XSE V6. Unless I'm missing something, I find the remote start (either through the app or through the key fob) to be somewhat worthless. As soon as you unlock the doors, the engine shuts off. IOW, you can't get in the vehicle with the engine running.
    Other than that. loving the car more each day!

      I have 2020 Se and have service connect but not remote connect that you said it did. Salesman thought it did and told me so. I traded in an Altima about same price with remote start and GPS. I agree Toyota chewed on this. It does connect android and auto.

    It's so ridiculous that you can't get the Entune Premium audio with integrated navigation on anything other than the V6. I want real integrated navigation but I want the XLE Hybrid. Total deal breaker. Hopefully fixed for the 2019 Camry XLE Hybrid.

    • @Toyotajeff
      @Toyotajeff  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point jim. We salespeople are wondering the same things as well. I hope they offer integrated navigation as an option on things like the XLE 4-cylinder and XSE 4-cylinder, as well as all the hybrids. We shall see what happens....

    • @jimv1983
      @jimv1983 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Toyotajeff in Raleigh as a sales person do you have any way to provide feedback of what customers are asking for? If so have you mentioned the issue to Toyota? I would expect that Toyota would take that kind of feedback seriously since it gives them more profit. I was on a blog of a dealership that had over 40 comments of people being upset about it. Most of them decided to not buy a Toyota at all because of it and that was just the few people that commented on that one post. The real problem is getting that information back to the Toyota corporation so they know. I think if they knew they'd change it. I emailed Toyota directly.
      On a somewhat related note, as a Toyota salesperson do you have any idea when the 2019 Camry will be out? Do you have any way of finding out if the 2019 Camry XLE Hybrid will have the option for the integrated navigation?
      Also, an XSE Hybrid would be nice too. I like that front grill.

    • @crxracer805
      @crxracer805 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Let me tell you about Scout nav. I tethered my phone via USB to my 2018 Camry Hybrid XLE and tried Scout by searching for food, although I already planned to eat at the TexMex place that is within easy walking distance of my house. The restaurant popped up, I selected it, and drove the directions given just to see how well it worked. Instead of taking me to the shopping center where the restaurant is located, it directed me to a dead-end cul-de-sac behind the center, and announced that I had arrived at my destination. There is no access from that cul-de-sac to the center, so I was actually FARTHER from my destination than I was when in my own garage. What a worthless piece of shit Scout is.

    Let's make it straight - I have five Toyotas at the moment ranging from 1991 to 2018, and I am truly convinced that nothing - even Honda - comes even close.
    Except stereo.
    My 2004 4Runner came with tape player. No shit!
    2018 4Runner came with CD (not even DVD - CD!) player. Again, no shit. I don't use CD (or DVD for that matter) so I could live with this ridiculous dinosaur if the entire entune thing was not such a huge pile of crap.
    For starters, you can't really play audio files (USB in my case) longer than 60 minutes. After that, it keeps playing but the counter is totally confused.
    Second, if you shut the engine off, next time it's powered, it starts playing from a beginning of a random file. I drive long distances and listen to audio books, files can be hours long. So every time you start the engine, you not only have to browse to the file you were listening to (and to make your life even more miserable, the file names are not shown, some weird numbers are) AND rewind to the place your left off. And finally, what Toyota deems "FAST" forward is 16 times faster than playback. Do your own frickin' Math how long you need to keep pushing the damn button to get to the 3 hr location within the file.
    Solution? I through the damn thing out and installed a nice AM Pioneer for $150. To be fair, prior to throwing entune into garbage can, I tried to sell it on ebay. I figured that since the stealer wanted $4,100 (yes, FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS!) for POS, I should be able to sell it for a couple hundred to cover replacement. No such luck.
    Now, let me re-iterate - I do not regret buying a Toyota for a split second despite this awfully ridiculous artifact aka "entune infortainment center".

    Very helpful. Toyota has made this very confusing. I didn't realize there was more than one flavor. Just give us ACP/AA !!!
    So you need the V6 for built-in nav? And you can get satellite radio on an non-V6 XSE?

    • @Toyotajeff
      @Toyotajeff  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hammers! Sorry for the late response just saw this.....You can get satellite radio as long as you have the Audio Package on whatever trim level 2018 Camry you buy. Audio package best parts are CD player, satellite radio and Qi wireless charging. Yes you not only need a V6 but you have to get the Navigation Package to get the built-in navigation. My hope is that Toyota will open this option up for lower trim levels and hybrids....we shall see what 2019 brings....thanks for watching and subscribing! Jeff
