I just wonder if you could advise me if there's a way that I could update to enable android auto and apple car play for my infotainment system in my 2020 Camry that is located and made in Thailand. What I found that the software that you can download one of files matches my device's S/N except the country code in between the model ID DCU code (ie. Mine has ..... TH -DA xx instead of ... NA- DA xx) I wonder if it's ok or not to update my device with the NA version?

thanks so much for commenting and the kind words. I dont think an update would be possible as the car isnt equipped with the neccessary equipment for Android auto to work correctly. You would have to replace your whole unit with one thats equipped with Android auto

@@eye80west I discovered that the Toyota dealer had forgotten to update my infotainment system and he even told me to use the wrong USB port (The right on is above the wireless charging support, on the right).
Hi, and thank you for this video! I have a new 2021 Toyota highlander and I have an iPhone and Apple CarPlay. My phone is all connected but I haven’t played around with the music yet so I was listening to SXM music on my drive today. I wanted to make a phone call, and couldn’t get the music to stop playing! I feel silly asking this but how do you turn the music off? I tried to make a phone call, assuming that my phone call would mute out the music, but it didn’t. I thought that something coming through the phone like a call or a text would interrupt whatever was playing in the background, but apparently not…? I’m hoping you can help!
it should automatically shut off the music I am not sure why it wouldnt. Doesnt make sense. I am sorry my friend i wish i could be more help

I recently purchased a 2021 Corolla Hatchback SE and was wondering if you had a good phone mount to recommend? With the position of this large screen, there isn't a lot of space to use a mount and attach it to the surface, so I may need to use one that suctions to the window. I'll look through your channel to see if there's already a video on this

I dont think you can you would have to adjust the notification settings in your phone
I don’t know about Android, but if you’re using an iPhone this is how you do it:
Go to settings > tap on “Do Not Disturb” > scroll down to “Do Not Disturb While Driving” and tap on “Activate” > tap on the option that says “When Connected To Car Bluetooth,” and if it’s there tap on “Activate With CarPlay”

I have a Toyota with this infotainment system, however i can't get get it to play music through my Bluetooth. This started happening a few days ago, before that it was working just fine. The volume is on and the radio works fine, but when i connect my phone to the car and put on some music, it's silent. It shows the name of the album and artist, but it doesn't play it. Even weirder than this is that everytime i hit the + or - of the voice assistant volume, the track starts playing for a fraction of a second!
If you have any clue as to what or why this is happening, i would really appreciate it!
I don’t have a build-in map in my Tacoma 2021 so every time I use the map I have to connect a UBS cable to my display. Is there anyway I can download a map in for my car. Thanks

I can't get my navigation system to work to start with. Do I have to subscribe to a monthly pay plan to allow this? Also, tried to bluetooth my mp3 player but it insists on pin, which does not show on this device and USB will not allow the device to play. I am sure I am just doing something wrong. I just bought a 2022 4runner trd off road. My steering wheel is no longer able to change channels (XM/Radio) using the up/down arrows. It now changes the sources. Is there a way to change it back?

I know this video is om 2021 models but I have a 2018 Camry and I did have full use of Entune then couple months ago it disappeared completely off my screen. I've been told that Toyota will not be replacing it for the older models. Is my only option to use Android Auto with a USB-C so I can actually see the map on my navigation screen?

I've got a bunch of albums on a USB stick and can listen to them on the 2021 Venza, but I can't browse to select a different artist or album while driving. "Browse" does show the menu (Artist/Song/Album/Composer, etc.) but if I tap any of those options, it does not give a list of Artists or Songs or Albums, etc. It simply goes to some random song. When not moving (even if in Drive), Browse works normally--but not when I'm on the road. Is this some stupid safety feature? (I can browse through various radio stations--why not albums?) Is this behavior normal for all new Venzas?

The radio settings for treble mid and base are going back to default. How can I save them for all the input sources?
they should automatically save once you set them
I found that on my radio each input has its own equalizer settings. You probably just need to set them up for each input.

Hi everyone. The latest infotainment system on the latest Rav-4 hybrid seems dated. Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it a nag?
I was worried about it, too. Coming from a Ram 1500 (2017), the Toyota one seems much more functional. The Ram looks a lot more modern, but it's a lot clunkier to use, especially the nav.
i am having problems with my brand new 2021 tacoma, it does not matter which station i use ( FM, SXM or android auto) at random times my radio would just pause for a second or two and will continue playing afterwards. any inputs on this?
I would try resetting the radio to factory settings. if that doesnt work go back to the dealer

@@meeheeyang1526 No problem! We are going through this right now. Ordered an adapter from Amazon and excited to see how well it works. Should be fine as the rear display screen is directly from an HDMI connection. So anything you hook to that HDMI connection should display on the rear entertainment screen. You could literally play Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 games on the rear display. Or watch Elmo/ Sesame Street on TH-cam from your phone, or even hook up a tablet to it. I will know more next week as my adapter arrives Monday. Will try to remember to comment back on my findings. Good luck and safe travels!

I start, I hope I am not boring you, my question is I have a 7 year payment plan for my 2017 Toyota Corolla le with ENTUNE AUDIOPlus, it was sent to my house in Puerto Rico the problem is it was sent to me and they never programed the multimedia display from the dealership, I never even got the extra key, my wife to be, said she forgot the extra key, then I got really angry, turns out, two weeks later I made a call to the dealership, they told me the person I bought the car from no longer works there and I cannot get my extra keys or get an update on my system things work differently here in Puerto Rico I mean these people do anything to make a sale and you think the United States is bad when it comes to car sales your advice please can you help.

only if you are using Android auto
Depends on the tech package you have on your Toyota. We have map navigation on ours but it is a Sienna with the XLE trim and tech/navigation package. Also have Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Just need a USB cable to the phone for those. The Toyota map and navigation feature just work by hitting the map button.
My Toyota dealer added my contacts list from my phone onto the nav system, which I do NOT want. Can I delete my contacts and then just enter the ones I want manually?
unpair your phone from bluetooth and then repair it. It will ask you to down load your contacts

Erick Hernandez you need your USB plugged for the GPS to work along with toyota entune being opened at all times.
I won't be surprised if people starting having car accidents because they are allowed to use all those applications on the road

Most likely you do not have Navigation loaded. You will either have to get the Navigation loaded on the car from the dealer or just use Android Auto or Apple car play feature and use your favorite mapping app through your phone. I would suggest just using your phone, better mapping through Google Maps or Waze.
Yeah I do not have my maps on my car either. There is a separate monthly or annual charge for that. I just use my cell phone for map guides. Pffft

@@carsunlocked first thing I did, the phone asks me to select only one choice the toyota app from phone when plugged in. If I manually start up android auto with my phone plugged it does not sync.
@@MaatiSan I know my car there is only one USB port that I can use to get Car Play/Andriod Auto even though there are like 5 ports in the car. I have to use the one to the right of the powrvolt (I think its called?) in the front under AC controls. Not sure if that helps, but I figured post just in case!
