I first heard this MASTERPIECE last October, when I was deathly sick with COVID-19 (to the point of liver failure). I was in so much pain & depression that I damn near prayed for death. This song was my anthem to not only to beat COVID-19, but to give me the fight to live life with the "aftereffects " of what COVID-19 left behind. Truly, "Kings", (or in my case "Queens") "Never Die."

I realized this is 2015 when this came out, last album was 2013 MMLP2, he worked on a few stuff for this project and who knows what else, and then in 2017 he dropped Revival. So he turned down the movie role in Southpaw to “focus on his music” to which he wrote and released Revival in that focus 2 years later. I always wondered why he didn’t do the movie until I just pieced that together what he meant when he said that. That’s the piece he was working on, and the headspace he was in. Love it
Eminem's most song titles, song ideas or at least some bars in songs are always mentioned in a way years before
All the names he puts on tracks from Discombobulated to Godzilla they all have been used in older songs and sometimes had similar bars in them. He's not only a genius he has a great memory, even if it's subconsciously

I've listened to this song countless times but thanks to you knox, I can truly understand and appreciate every line in this song. Phenomenal would be a great song to react to next as it's another song made for the southpaw movie
One thing I think Knox missed here is how Em is actually molding his flow to the marching snare drum in the background, he just gradually picks up the pace from quarter notes to eight notes to sixteenths when he's rapid-firing. The entire flow follows that 6/8 snare march rhythm. Fucking. Insane. One of my favorite Em flows of all time.
This - to me - is Em’s best ever track. This is it - motivation, power and - inevitably - Godliness. And the movie (Southpaw) is fkn amazing too. Perfect song.
