This is brilliant Steve! The 1st one you built for the Myford is also a complete system, and the cost is so little. The magnetic Delrin block is pure genius.
Banggood needs to put you on payroll. I swear I spend more money there after watching your videos then any other time 😂 fantastic little set up thanks for sharing!! -Joe
Great idea. Works perfectly. Your always coming up with awesome ideas and turning them into amazing working parts of the machine. Thank you for sharing.
Gday Steve, this is a brilliant idea, I’ve never seen this type of oil bottle before and setup like you have here is great, it’s simple, effective and most of all it works perfectly, thanks mate for sharing another great idea, take care Matty
You could run the tubing on the other side of the tail stock (back of the lathe) so that it can't rub on the leadscrew This would work well with HSS and drilling operations
Steve I have always enjoyed your videos as they portray down to earth useable projects. I have ordered this oiler but nowadays delivery from Bangood is questionable.
Brilliant! oiling system! I don't know how you have the time to come up with this stuff! Watching this video is making me jealous, though. I could be wrong, but it looks like you get to work almost exclusively with the metric system there (aside from those pipe measurements.). Here in the U.S. it's mostly Imperial, but machinists, engineers, etc. must work in both the Imperial system (fractions and decimal) and the metric system simultaneously flipping back and forth and converting between the two ad hoc. I'm lucky in that when I was a kid there was a brief period where the U.S. thought it was going to the metric system & so I was trained on both. People born before, or after I was regard metric as wholly foreign & couldn't tell you how many mm in an inch (or a cm!) to save their life. People my age often can convert between the two immediatly without calculators. Metric is of course, better, but I can still convert between the two rapidly, mentally. Imperial gives us stuff like 11/64" & whatever that is in mm (off the top of my head it's about 4mm. I checked my work & it's 4.36mm. Not bad eh? That 4mm estimate I literally made immediately off the top of my head. Rounding down I was spot on! :-) You folks in the UK can probably do something similar, but here, unless its an engineer, most can't.
And yet you've always had "metric" money ( in the sense of multiples of 10), whereas until 1971, we had 12 pennies to the shilling and 20 shillings to the pound. ( Almost as bad as wizarding money in Harry Potter!)
Steve I cannot see the blue flexible pipe in the lubricator kit, did you buy this separately. Another great idea I have made several of your projects and found everyone or them easy to make and very useful.
The link is under my video titled 'a new motorcycle machine tool tachometer'. Also the wiring instructions for this one and all the Chinese tachometers are on my TH-cam community tab page Regards Steve
Don't get me wrong I'm on that site but what I want to know is are they reliable on delivery as I did try that wish and not to happy with it at the moment the stuff I got I could of got off eBay and the post is silly so anyone that wants to go on wish I'd watch your self I got that I paid for is a plasma cutter and I got a arc welder instead and now they are mucking me around to take it bk so what I'm asking will I have the same problems with this site
Well I have found them to be very good so far. Some things take a while to arrive at the moment, but that's like anything else from China at the moment. The motorcycle oiler arrived quickly though. Regards Steve
Thank you for getting back to me and thank you for the information I will give them ago and see how things are as I'm always making things and trying to make my own channel just can not get my head around the editing part but my be one day but I will say thank you for your channel you ha e helped a lot in the past stay safe

Clever solution, as usual. We featured this video in our homemade tools forum :)
Nice upgrade. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Steve,
Very good idea... version 2 could be with a foot pedal.
Cheers
Paul,,
Simple, but effective, nice one!
Another great idea Steve
brilliant idea steve
Built it and it works well - great project

Beautiful solution Steve.
thanks for sharing the tip. Meanwhile I mountes one on the lathe and one on the mill.

Great idea Steve, thanks for sharing
Cheers
nice video and idea, thanks for sharing......
An electric version would be so cool
Or mechanically driven, maybe a cam on the spindle?
I like that one... Thanks.
I think you should change the main oil holder to a see through container so you can see when you need to top up !
Atb.
Nice !! And cheap ,Thank´s
Great idea............. cheers mate
"locking device" aka to us old scooterboys... a solderless nipple :) Nice idea too :D
Great DIY. Who's the mini lathe supplier?
Love that simple but effective what size chuck do you have on the mini lathe Steve
Hi it is a 125mm chuck. I got an adaptor backplate for it from Arceurotrade. Regards Steve
Steve I cannot see the blue flexible pipe in the lubricator kit, did you buy this separately. Another great idea I have made several of your projects and found everyone or them easy to make and very useful.
Steve I have just found the flexible pipe on the Banggood site.
That's good. I did get my blue coolant pipe on eBay. I will get a link from Banggood for it. I'm pleased you like the projects. Regards Steve
Hi Steve. Where did you get the blue flexible tube with the tap on from? Thanks
Hi David, you can buy them on eBay or Banggood. Just type in 'flexible water or oil tube' They are only about £2.50 to buy. Regards Steve
Or Flexible coolant hose...I buy the ones with the tap
@@SteveJordan Thanks Steve. Much Appreciated.
Steve, what sized chuck do you have on your lathe and is there any special adaptions made to accommodate it. i have a Seig 7x12.
Hi Murray. It is a 125mm chuck. I bought a special backplate from Arceurotrade UK to fit it on the lathe. Regards Steve
Very good...
The set on Banggood doesn't include that flex lock line . Do you have links for the flex tube and the magnets?
The pipe can be found on the Banggood site and magnets on eBay.
Grasias master 👍👍👍👍
Awesome
your lathe speed control gauge who supplies this is it bangood steve any links to it please

Is that car engine oil? Is that good steel cutting oil?
That's what I use. It seems to work well.
Neat

Hi
Well isn't that just a jiffy idea.
This is clever and I like it. But you really need to try a better cutting oil. Engine oil is no where near as good as something like Tap Magic.
Hi I will have to try some of that. Regards Steve
Also not much smoke coming from your cut
