Nicely done Steve. I am a new subscriber to your channel and I found myself speculating if perhaps one of the 6mm round carbide tips might work slightly better, in this application than the triangular carbide tips. I do have the same lathe as you (and a slightly smaller clarke cl300m) i think i will be building one of these when the weather gets a bit warmer. There are many ball turners made by other TH-cam makers, but i am not sure they would work so well on a small lathe due to the lack of space available on the Chinese mini lathes. Good content in your videos for hobby machinists that many folk can learn from.
Hi Steve, I like the simplicity of this ball turning attachment... sometimes it's so easy to over engineer something, but i think you have got this spot on... Thanks for sharing. Take care Paul,,
As always very informative I may be ready to make one in the near future first I need to tackle my compound Gibbs situation. Thanks for the videos.cheers.
Hi Steve what a great video! I’ve been trawling through your videos and can’t find the original build, any chance of a link please. I’m very interested in making one myself. All the best👍
Totally off topic Steve, But I keep seeing glimpses of your tattoos in your videos, But they're never clear enough to make out what they are. I've wondered about them for a while, assuming one day the'll be in shot long enough for me to make them out, But they haven't so far........ Any chance you could enlighten me?
@CurlyG65 I think Darko is just asking why Steve bought it off eBay rather than turning the disc himself from metal he already had. I don't think there was any particular reason he used this over anything else. The plasma tables waste cutouts you buy from people on eBay are usually just normal mild steel, So I think it was just something he had to hand and was only mentioning where it came from because he was passing on information about a source of cheap(Ish) chunks of metal.
@CurlyG65 To me your original reply sounded like you were explaining what the finished part did, rather than (How I interpreted the question) why Steve chose to use THAT piece of metal to make it out of.
It just saves a lot of time using the laser cut disc. Just a quick single bore and it's done, rather than turning from bar then having to part off. Regards Steve
Hi Steve, i am a subscriber and would like to ask you some Questions, in relation to ML7 i have just bought ie email or web site, Keep up the good work

Hi Steve, that was a lovely bit of turning, brilliant. How can someone give that a thumbs down . Great 🎥 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍10/10
Great job well explained I'm going to attempt to make one myself thanks.
Très bien ! Ne serait-il pas mieux d'utiliser un contre écrou et d'avoir une prise pour une clé sur le support fileté ?
Great video Steve! Thanks
Esta excelente la herramienta, es mas fácil y con mejor precisión de trabajo, gracias por compartir el vídeo...👍

You got beautifull balls :)
What is point of that disc you got from ebay? Hard steel?
