Did anyone else find a book titled "Welcome to Night Vale" mysteriously appear in their home? I decided to start absorbing the contents through my skin in the usual manner and have found the ethereal apparitions it creates a pleasant and informative way to pass the time.

In my case, the apparitions conglomerated into a strange stone. It was green, and felt quite nice. Not dissimilar to a peacock feather.

I thi k that might be part of why the creators thought to do a joke like that, but they really seem to love nonsense and chaos that doesnt make much sense from our perspective, so the sheer randomness was probably a factor as well

A book I checked out from the Library about weird events in different parts of the world says that there was once a 'glowing cloud' with various colors sighted in Kansas. My own state!
It was described as 'small', so I'm going to interpret that as evidence that the glow cloud was born and raised in little old Kansas.

I'm convinced that Night Vale is a testing ground for interdimenional and technological experimentation, the anomalies and strangeness all effects and byproducts of such experimentation, the secret police making sure that the public of the town are compliant and stupid so they could continue testing their experiments on them as test subjects without knowing it.

So has anyone read "Welcome to Night Vale" It's great. It seriously messed with me though. My mom found a pink flamingo and stuck it in the front yard. I nearly had a panic attack. I forgot the book isn't real. Seriously read the book and you'll never see those things the same way again.

I love all the nightvale books. I dont have the actual book cause i like to listen to cecil reading it to me. Thats what goves it that classic nightvale feel.

Welcome to Night Vale is so strangely beautiful. The words are a collection of weird and bizarre tidbits and then out of nowhere, a realization about the human experience is woven into it. Plus, Cecil's narration seem macabre and moving at the same time. Ah!!! I'm only 2 episodes in and I'm addicted! :D

Enjoyable. The pilot was a little all over the place, likely as a way of setting things up, but this seems more focused.
There's always something eerily comforting about listening to Welcome to Night Vale. It gives you chills and your body reacts as if there were someone watching you, but at the same time it reaches out with gentle hands to give you a warm hug as it lulls you to sleep.

I have worked my way steadily through season one and most of season two and Cecil sounds so different in the earlier shows! He has so much more animation in his voice in the later episodes.
