@@kk-qu1zc Well I only have a few cameras, Canon R3, R7 ,R6 Nikon d4s, Nikon d500, Sony a9 ver1 and a old pocket camera Sony a6000. my point was made above dumbass... if you only have a cam that does 1/4000 shutter speed and you want to shoot wide open in bright sun you'll probably need a filter. Maybe you should stop running your little keyboard muscles and actually go out and earn money shooting some pics.
@@HaiTomVlog I did. B+W. Even B+W are not all good with flares. 010 is superior over 007. URTH is sold by BestBuy. I never saw they sell anything else. I actually tried it in this store. The flares created so much ghosting that image was unusable at all. So if you always shoot with sun/source of light behind you, you'll never have a problem. I tried to shoot video with B+W 007 at night street, the lantern lights created really bad flares. I can't imaging how much flares URTH would create under same conditions. B+W 010 reduced the flares to practically none.
Anthony, enjoy your videos and shorts. Dumb question time, when you use a Variable ND filter do you remove the UV filter or just add the VND to the front on UV. (Hopefully not too dumb of a question, lol)
Great question. I remove the UV filter, especially if it's a wide-angle lens. If you stack too many filters it can cause a vignette (a dark circle) to appear around the edge of your images!
Hi Anthony - great video! Quick question, with a step up ring, doesn't that mean that the original lens cover won't fit since the cover thread size matches the original lens size? In that case, do you buy an extra lens cover that matches the step up ring?
Not really sure you know what your talking about.. Filters, ND and otherwise have been around for photography long before moving pictures /cine /video cameras and people on the internet talking rubbish..
I just wish it were pertinent enough. As someone new to photography, I’m still not sure if this video really said anything relevant to the title. Why do we not need variable ND filters 6 minutes later lol
worst youtuber for videos about cameras. The title is clickbait. You can go to 6:10 and you will understand why. So basically he prefers variable ND Filter.
Do you use an ND filter for Photography? If so, what one are you using?
What if I need a VND and CP at the same time?
There is a filter with two rings: one to control ND, second to control CP
Yep, the K&F 2-5 stop magnetic VND.
yes, multiple....pmvnd from polarpro, i use a 6-9 on a T 1.3 cine lens as well, as the 2-5 sometimes isn't enough!
Off camera flash + a blur background
Yes, try shooting F1.8 with a camera that only does 1/4000 shutter speed on a sunny day, you need a var nd filter..
Bro how poor are you? Doesn't everyone have a 1/8000 Sony A7 model at this point?

I don’t always use filters, but I do use URTH ND filters (both variable and fixed) for daytime long exposure from time to time.
Thanks for choosing Urth :)
URTH is really bad with flare.
@@SergSpace I’ve never had an issue. But buy what you like 🤙🏼

@@SergSpace ok, glad you found something that works for you! Like I’ve said, I’ve had zero issues with mine. 🤙🏼
Your explanations are always clear and on point. Love your content!
million thanks for this video. You're right to watch this first before buying. Now I am returning to my shopping cart to amend the selection.
I just got my first ND filter today, super excited to try it out!
That RF 50 looks so good....

Great question. The original lens cap will not fit. If your ND filter doesn't come with a cap, you can get a universal cap like these: geni.us/0Bvx
Ah ok, thanks @@AnthonyGugliotta - appreciate it!
ND can also allow you to shoot off camera flash without going into High Speed Sync.
You have the Canon R5. I have had 7 Canon cameras in the past. The R5 is the best Canon camera for me so far.
can you please make a video on the best vnd filters
Hey bro, quick question have you ever tried out the drop in nd filters? Would love to know your thoughts on the quality.
Hi. Are ND filters good for Plane Spotting/Aviation photography?
When shooting with ND, do I still need the lens hood
For unwanted light?
💥Wow, great tips. 5:10 you have a step down ring going from 82 down to 77 Will the lens hood still fit on.?? I never shoot without mine on.
I needed a refresher, this helped
So which is the ND filter that we shouldn’t buy? I couldn’t get through the video because it didn’t seem to be relevant to the title haha
You shouldn't buy nd filters that are just uv filters painted with a sharpie.
Recomendations for variable ND + polariser in 1? Not looking for the top top ones but the bit more affordable
Haida PRO II CPL-VND 2 in 1 Filter 3-7 Stop
Hello Anthony can I use filter or ND Filter RF LEN 15-35 f2.8? Waht aperture do use when u vlog?
I'll just reply even tho I'm not Anthony lol. Absolutely! You can use filters on any type of lens
I use CPL filters for portraiture..
Did you use an nd filter to film this?
Bought it today 👍 an hour before seesing this video
can I stack a mist filter onto this?
First also ty❤

Why " DON"T buy a Variable ND Filter " Only explaining how to use them and you prefer to use them
Don’t buy until you understand how to use it and why
The constant unscrew and unscrew 😂
Honestly this comment alone makes the Mag Pro system (Polar Pro) worth it hahaha

He's horrible. He never actually says anything useful. The quality of the videos is really high though
I literally saw the title of this video and thought “that name is clickbait”. Then I went and bought the K&F nd filter. Now I regret it lol
I’m planning to buy it.. can you tell me why you regret it ?
