This lot will become the Kumander Daot Family Farm!
Today, we do a few errands in Davao City and Tagum before travelling to Agusan del Sur. The lot is cleared, and the task is "sticking" - marking out the areas to be planted!

If you want to remove saging (banana), you really have to dig everything out because even a small cube of the root base can grow back to.... saging. You will be surprised when you go back to the farm after several days.
Yeah - looking at doing that instead. I'm amazed at how quickly they regrow

Good morning KD! Last Christmas, I was looking for a pinute bolo with a wooden scabbard (like my Lolo's) as a gift to farmer relatives but found none because what is available used PVC pipes shaped flat to become a scabbard. Mao na diha.

pag himo sad ug flowering philippine native trees arboretum sa Matag-ob, Leyte kay mag camping mi didto. Pagtanom ug Balayong, Narra, Golden shower, Banaba, Lagundi, Salimbobog, Bagawak morado, Patalsik pula, Dapdap, Balitbitan, Malabulak, Katmon, Caballero, Bagras, Malabayabas trees.
Kumander if I am you. I'll plant Ylang-ylang tree. A litter of essential oil is $2k(2014). A tree can produce 4 litters.
Wonder where I can find seedlings for that? I might test this one 🙂

i wonder how hard it would be to "terrace" your cleared property, in a "U' shape, similar to the terraced rice fields of "Banaue" on Luzon, with some heavy equipment, while leaving the low area at the center, and what would be the cost? Just something to think about, to help prevent erosion in the future, and for easier access too. Amping (*_*)
Doable - I did this somewhere else before for about 30k/hectare. But only certain areas will need terracing... a lot is undulating,..
LOL, the hardware scene, & then showing your new knife reminded me very much of Penelope Cruz Spanish movie VOLVER - she bought a rope, a shovel then the knife, the sales clerk looking suspicious, she murdered her abusive husband (tied him, stabbed him) and buried him (with the shovel), so dark & funny !

Young pig is more tender thats why its little bit expensive..the old pork that she said might be a mother pig or an old male pig,its a little bit cheaper because the quality of the meat is little bit hard and not that tasty

Kumander daot how you cut the forest mountain land slide or flood will come to your area in my provinces cutting trees our not allowed to cut anymore even you are the owner of the land the DENR is controlling of cutting any trees
I didn't cut the forest... That was cut years ago... I only cleared the weeds which were 3 metres tall
