    Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad it worked out for you in the end but you'd think for what you pay, everything should be perfect from the get-go.

      Yeah I wish it went smoother for sure but at least there’s a silver lining 🙂

    When I bought my VCA sweet alhambra earrings, the post on one side was not straight, so I brought the earrings to a Boutique to get repaired (within the first 3 months), the SA that was helping me also said I would cost $180 to have that repaired. I went back and called VCA online customer Service and talked to a online SA and he said that it should be free for me, the other SA is mistaken. So when they called me to pick the earrings up after fixing them, I told that SA (another different one from the boutique) on the phone that the online customer service SA told me it should be free and be waived for me, he immediately said apology and would waive my fee. So I feel like your SA was just being very difficult on you

      Oh wow. I’m glad you got it fixed for free. How could they possibly charge you when it’s a defect 🤦🏻‍♀️

    I’m so stressed for you, and glad the outcome was positive. Very important to advocate your feelings. SA can come off intimidating sometimes. I feel like Cartier customer service may be better? They have less strict of a policy regarding extensions etc, what do you think? I’ve been meaning to add a white gold piece, will this experience make you rethink adding a wg vca piece?

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve never had to get any services on my Cartier pieces since getting them so I can’t comment on that. I have been thinking of getting my two Cartier bracelets polished though so hopefully if I do go that route it’ll be a positive experience.
      As for whether this experience will stop me from buying more white gold VCA pieces, I don’t think it will. My white gold guilloche bracelet is really bright white so I think they are able to get it right with the rhodium plating. Now that I know what to look out for I’ll be more alert next time. Maybe if you end up going for one of their white gold pieces you can refer to the photos/videos I included here to compare. Or you can always send me some pictures - I’ll be happy to give a second opinion 😊

    I have a Perlee Signature Bracelet and it doesn’t close properly. I looked at it closer and the bracelet isn’t aligned properly so it doesn’t close properly! Quality control maybe the issue but maybe it’s other people trying it on and messing with it, in store anyway.

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They might be able to adjust the hinge slightly to get it to align. It might be worth asking your SA.

    So, they won’t honor their own policy? It clearly stated that it would be free for the first year.

    When our brain gets stuck on something, fixate, it’s really difficult to get unstuck. Don’t see any difference in the earrings but you just didn’t like them maybe and your brain ‘found’ an excuse to return them. Which is fine. It’s your consumer right to return a product.

    They should've adjusted the post for free as that is in their policy, but I don't think they are obliged to give you a different backing as that does not seem to be in their policy. This is pure speculation but your SA might've ben annoyed when she couldn't see any difference in the earrings under store lighting but agreed to the exchange anyway. Then when you asked for the post to be adjusted and to have the butterfly backing, she decided to refuse no matter what. Their company must be making a lot of money and don't care if they lose one sale as there will be another person who wants that piece.

    That's an expensive piece, luckily u get refund eventually. thank you for sharing this video, I'll put in mind that to avoid any white gold fine jewelry pieces now as I'm kind of a perfectionist 😅
    Anyway do you encounter any bad experiences with other VCA pieces?

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️ I had to exchange one of my mother of pearl pendants because there were scratches on the mother of pearl right from the beginning. I’m much more understanding of that though because I’m aware that MOP is very delicate.

      aww. really have to be extra careful when purchasing from them. and the price point is getting much higher nowadays too. I wish to get a bracelete from them too i always thought that all after sales service are complimentary for their brand except user own's mistakes.
      please share more reviews like this as its helpful for us when deciding pieces to buy 😊

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course! I always share the good as well as the bad in my reviews because hardly anything is ever perfect.
      If you decide to purchase a bracelet from them, it is probably a good idea to confirm before paying how long you have to adjust the length of the bracelet for free. According to the current policy as well as my past experiences it should be one year but what I’ve learned from this most recent incident is to always ask up front. Other than that, cleanings should be free but polishing or changing to new motifs will cost money unless they deem it’s not the user’s fault.

    One of them is 100% darker for sure. Do you think someone’s body chemistry changed the white gold after trying it on in store. I notice they don’t clean them throughly after each customer sometimes 🤮

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My SA always wipes down any earrings with an alcohol wipe before I try them on but you’re right, I don’t recall seeing any other cleaning aside from that. Can’t say whether they clean it in the back or not though.

    A serious jewellery buyer will ALWAYS examine the jewellery piece under natural lighting before deciding whether to purchase it. Would u buy a car without taking it for a test drive first?

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      VCA is not going to let you take the piece out of the store to look at it in natural lighting before you buy it, especially if the boutique is located within a mall. Who’s going to be responsible if you run off with it or a thief swipes it from your hands? Also your car analogy doesn’t make sense because if you’re buying a new car, unless you’re buying the floor model you’re not test driving the actual car you’re buying.

    It’s probably contaminated rhodium, it happens in plating sometimes unfortunately.

      Thank goodness I was able to return it. Luckily I didn’t go straight into getting the adjustments on the first pair before I ever saw them in person. I would’ve been so upset if i was stuck with the defective pair.

      I usually stick to what it says on the return policy because I agreed to it when I made the purchase but in this case I think it was fair to ask for a refund.

    The diamonds will seldom be 100% identical. If you're a diamond collector then you should know this. Even diamond studs won't be identical in colour and especially size.
    This speaks NOTHING about this brands final quality.

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC
      @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Firstly did you even watch the video before making this comment? I said that upon further inspection I deemed the problem to be with the metal. Van Cleef absolutely should have the capability to make sure the metal looks the same between two sides of a pair of earrings. The inability to do so is a quality control issue. These earrings should have never left the workshop. If I, with no formal training in the industry, can see there’s a mismatch then there is no excuse for an expert not noticing this.
      And when it comes to earrings I never said the diamonds have to match on a microscopic level, but when you’re looking by eye they should at least look like they match whether it’s diamond studs or pavé earrings. Yes it’s probably true that melee diamonds like these won’t be individually graded for color and what not, but if the earrings are made up of all diamonds within an acceptable range of color/size or whatever other metric you want to throw out there then you should not be able to easily spot a difference.
      Please don’t spread misinformation and for your own sake don’t blindly support a brand.
