Example in Eb goes: Ebmaj7 Bb-7 Eb7 Abmaj7. the fourth chord Abmaj7 would be the 4 chord in Eb but here it's treated like a one chord because of the 25 progression behind it. So like For ebmaj7 use Eb Ionian For Bb-7 use Bb dorian For eb7 use Eb mixolydian For Abmaj7 use Ab ionian That's just the first 4 chords. BUT YOU SHOULD THINK LIKE THIS. (Edit SHOULDNT) LEARN THE SONG MELODY!!!!!!!!!

You can play arpeggios over each chord, but that can be quite challenging, and is unnecessary for this tune. The simplest way is to use three different modes in Eb, at least for the A section. The A section goes: | Ebmaj7 | Bbm7 Eb7 | Abmaj7 | Abm7 Db7 | Ebmaj7 Cm7 | Fm7 Bb7 | Ebmaj7 | / | You can use the following modes: Bar 1 - Eb ionian Bar 2,3 - Eb mixolydian Bar 4 - Eb aeolian Bar 5-8 - Eb ionian Once you've mastered that, you can add chord substitutions and introduce outside notes that way, but this will require a good grasp of harmonic theory.
