Ok! I know about the trick to light and dark to make things look 3D, but I found it definitely take practice. I watched hundreds of different techniques and finally saw an artist use color pencils to smooth the art to add more depth which made it look more 3D than just the marker or just paint. This video helped remind me of the techniques I'm in the middle of practicing this year. Thanks for sharing 🤗 ❤️ 👍 💯
What a fantastic video!! Thank you so much!! I never thought of doing an underpainting with alcohol markers!! It would certainly give your drawings more depth!! ❤️
Thanks so much for your comment! 💖 I'm so happy to hear that my video was helpful to you! Definitely give it a try - underpainting with alcohol markers is such a useful technique! 😃🎨
Hey thx for this since imma noobie and my parents just got me tgese alcohol markers thx so much itisnt perfect but its tye best art work iv'e done ❤❤❤❤
Me encanto. Porque mostraste las dos formas de usar el marcador. Y al final da igual si se hace de claro a oscuro o de oscuro a claro. Si se usa buen papel da igual la forma. Ambas quedan bien.

Glad you enjoyed my tutorial! 💖 You could try drawing cherries using the colors that you do have and see how it turns out. The thing about alcohol markers is that if you want to make smooth transitions from light to dark (like from the bright highlights to the dark shadows) then you need a lot of "in-between" colors to blend smoothly. If you don't have enough alcohol markers, you could use colored pencils on top to smooth out any transitions, brighten highlights or deepen shadows. That's what I did when I first started using alcohol markers and didn't have all the colors I needed. Hope this helps! 😃🎨
Unfortunately, this is out of my pay grade! Yours is beautiful -- mine would absolutely not look like that! You have true talent! I would have better luck buying some real cherries and smashing them on the paper! lol
Thank you for your kind words about my artwork - I appreciate it! 😃 Drawing realistically takes practice so if you keep at it, you might surprise yourself with what you can achieve! 🎨🌟
