Interesting what Hopper's character said about The Motorcycle Boy. He said he was born into the wrong era. The same thing was said about the character of Marv, played by Rourke in Sin City. Clive Owne's character said Marv was born in the wrong time, he would have been right at home on a medieval battlefield smashing an axe into some guy's face or as a gladiator in Rome. The Roman elite would have tossed him girls like the one on stage dancing in the movie.

One of the greatest existential scenes of three beings in American cinema. Each one is as true and as meaningful as the other.

“I think I’ll be a lot like him when I get older”.
“You should pray to god not.”
For some reason I love these lines. It’s not like anybody chooses to be like Motorcycle Boy. I think most of us may be Rusty James.

What do you get when you mix Dennis Hopper, Mickey Rourke, and Matt Dillon. Along with Nicolas Cage (whose name should be Nicholas Francis Ford Coppola cage). and an incredible soundtrack by the greatest drummer in modern history!? Stewart Copeland the drummer for The Police? The answer is this movie, rumble fish
