    This is how you win, but personally I think it's more fun when you're the only one who knows how to play like this and can run the tables on everyone while they look at you like you're some kind of sorcerer. :)

    Sometimes I will make an assumption with two cards that I’m already holding in my hand, just to vet out the one I’m looking for.

    This video is great! Short, entertaining, straight to the point and with great value and tips. I gifted Clue to my girlfriend this christmas after not playing it myself for a couple of years and just fell in love again with the game. I was looking for a better way to get information during other players turns and found your video, great work! keep it up!

    Oh, now I understand why in the mobile game there are numbers from 1 to 5 to be inserted in the columns! Also, the sheet is exactly as the one you showed, except for the last column - the game expects you to circle the name, it's basically the same thing
    Great video and thanks for the number explanation, the mobile game doesn't teach you that!!

    So. .. I've watched this video 3 times and still don't really get it. . That is not a bad thing as I've not played Cludo since I was a kid. . I'm now 48 and my 13 year old child asked for Cludo for her birthday. .so I'm just trying to find something that will (and lets be honest here) I just want to make sure I win because. . Well I'm just not being beaten by a teenager!!! I'd never hear the end of it. Haha. We've not played yet as she got the game yesterday and is staying with her mum tonight so this is my one night to learn as much as the internet can teach me.
    You're video is brilliant and I'm sure it will make sense once I've played a few times. . So thank you. . And like given for your work. Ill let you know how it goes!! 😂

    I have just played my first three rounds of this game with a party of 4 players, 2 of them experienced in the game. Didn't know the rules of the game beforehand and won 2 rounds out of the 3 using the advertised strategy.
    The first round I was totally lost because I messed up my crossing out of the revealed cards.
    I really enjoy the video. It is no bs, easy to follow even without knowing the rules of the game and it works like a charm.

  • @alli_went_bonkers

    Just downloaded this game and am trying to improve...Do you make any notations for what you select on your turn, other than what others show you, so that you don’t accidentally waste a turn? Also, do you keep any record of the cards you are holding that you show to others? I find, having a weapon or character that I hold close to the vest, often helps keep my opponents just a little off balance. Thanks for this tutorial...happy game-playing!

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I don't note the exact guess I make, just because I develop my guess from the info I have, which keeps me from guessing the same thing twice. If I know someone showed me the knife, you can bet I'm never guessing the knife again! But definitely note whatever is going to help you.
      I certainly try to show my opponents the same cards if possible, so that maybe they're all looking for one that I've had the fortune of never revealing.

    2:14 So you're saying it's not possible that 2 of those cards are in Andras hand and 1 in the envelope?

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, it IS possible. Andrew could be holding 0, 1, 2, or even all 3 of those cards, and each one he doesn't have must be in the envelope.

  • @LemuelDunleavy
    @LemuelDunleavy ปีที่แล้ว +4

    This works until you're playing with someone who knows the strategy and says things to mess you up.

    • @tellmewhenitsover
      @tellmewhenitsover 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That cant happen if everyone is playing honestly. The closest they could come to "messing you up" is shooting themselves in the foot by making a suggestion using all their own cards, which you then note down the turn the guess was made in both their collum and the envelope collumn.

    Hey so why do you use different numbers for cards a player could have ?

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you play with 4 or fewer players, they'll each have 4 cards in hand. If you play with 5 or 6 players, they'll each have 3 cards in hand.

  • @DannyCosmos
    @DannyCosmos 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    so i usually just stick to the use 2 of the cards i have as suggestions and 1 i dont have. and once i need 3 places i guess. ive won alot. cause most of my family only makes acusations after they know 100%

  • @skottiR
    @skottiR ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why would Andrew make an assumption with ALL three of his cards in his hand? I don't follow how that could give him more information or an edge, it seems it would only benefit other players? When you say ALL of those cards are EITHER in Andrews Hand or the Envelope, do you mean that those three cards can ONLY be in EITHER Andrew's Hand OR the envelope? It sounds like you're saying the three cards MUST be all together.

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For each of those three cards, it must be in either Andrew's hands or in the envelope. They are not all necessarily in the same place.
      Although I have had success before with assuming all three cards in my hand. I didn't gain any new information, but I made my opponents think one of them was for sure in the envelope, they got antsy and accused incorrectly.

  • @VenerableBede2510

    Don’t focus on what cards other people have in their hands. Focus on what they DON’T have in their hands.

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well yes, but also no. Once you know the 3 or 4 cards in their hand, you know what 17 or 18 cards they don't have in their hand.

    This is great until youre at a table like when i play with my family where everyone is already employing this strategy lolol. Then it all comes down to timing and luck because you are forced to take a 50-50 shot most of the time as you are afraid you wont get another turn in the game.

  • @danmarcinkiewicz3808
    @danmarcinkiewicz3808 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What if the person making the accusation holds one clues they're asking for?

    • @StrataGames
      @StrataGames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the player making an assumption is holding one of the clues, that's a great way to narrow down a specific type of card. If I assume Mustard, wrench, kitchen, while holding Mustard and wrench, then it's easier for me to narrow down the room I'm looking for
      Holding a card in hand that you're accusing about, where you look at the cards in the envelope is of course a poor strategy, as your accusation will be incorrect.
