Min 40, how can they attach hydra when you have a standard bearer?
Beating elves three times is pretty remarkable, well done 😂😂
Thanks.
I’m still having trouble. Yknow that one attack he does where he charges up an insta kill spirit bomb? I can’t figure out a way to avoid that. This boss is just so unfair. He needs to be nerfed
I play Augur I’m my Izzet control deck. IMO it balances out the deck
As said. * Flying dwarves are good because you can potentially quickly take all mine, then decline and make a lot of points. * Sorcerer + dragon is extremly powerful because you can attack strong places easily and then use your power. * Amazon commado is super strong, with 14 army and -1 to conquer you can easily pick 10 places in first turn, then decline. * Starting with ghouls spirit is fun and efficient because you can have 3 races and 2 active.
Hi in the round 1 game 2 you could used thraben charm to destroy the enchantment gaves reach to the opponent's creatures and attack with the kor, right?
I was right. You are a great player! Very impressive! Casting Thraben Charm to force them to play the Hydra as a creature to take damage from Suture Priest while realizing the throne room would kill them was a chef's kiss moment. 🤌 How do you think this deck would fare against Broodscale decks? Some good players I know devote a large portion of their sideboards towards battling the Glee combo decks.
Excellent commentary and pretty tight gameplay. Love this deck, so glad it's good in Pauper.
Hey, do you recommend this deck to begin to play pauper in tournaments, I'm pretty Lost. Nice content!
If it is locals it will win you games and probably a bit of locals. In leagues on MTGO you will do pretty well.
Yeah, it's a pretty good deck, I think. Definitely can win some matches and if you're lucky, ideally the whole tournament
Has anyone ever actually executed the "infinite" life gain trick of Skyfisher bouncing itself over and over to gain life off Lunarch Vet et al? Because it seems theoretically useful in the ultra late game
I've definitely done it a bit, but not close to infinite
Weirdo cards I wanna see play: greatsword of tyr, that card gave me some games against big reach creatures
Yeah a good card
I've seen it do some work! Might have to try it out
I tried pairing it with Safehold elite a while back, kinda neat to reset the persist with the +1/1 counter
Sadly those birds didnt see play, I like this list whit martyr's Soul, I am also a bugler hater hahaha
Yeah, would have loved the birds to show up more
Bugler is nuts
Bugler is a 3 mana 2/3 that draws you a card... Seems good to me.
Doesnt draw you kes cards sometimes, like guardians pledge or thraben charm
Just not a big fan of the 3 cost
@@StrataGamesThat is fair. 3 is a lot nowadays
HELL YEAH
YEAH HELL
Is there a way to add a skinned title to the custom cards?
31:06 what happened here it's basically one of the best wins I have seen in my entire life in mtg
It felt incredible
Against Affinity G1, rather than discarding the Boomerang you could have used it to bounce the non-summoning sick Myr Enforcer. Opponent still could replay it right away but they wouldn't be able to attack with it, putting you at 8 life instead of 4 and keeping you alive in the face of that Galvanic Blast. Great video though, thanks!
At the time I was at 18, so wasn't quite sure of what the math would look like, and didn't want to give them an extra card, but you're right, that might have been the right play. Thanks for watching!
Can anyone point towards a place for Dandan decks? I want to try my hand at making one utilizing the shapeshifter aspect but the newer eldrazi
At 46:53 against Walls, you could’ve resolved the Alchemist, and then after the Soulbound triggers and the target is chosen - Snap the Soulbound’s target. This way, Alchemist would’ve just been a 1/4 body that does nothing. This is effectively a counter but also does not let them Reaping the graves the Alchemist from the graveyard, and you would also have mana for another counterspell this turn
Soulbond doesn't target, meaning that if I Snap one of the Battlements, they can simply pair with the other one. If they only had 1 or I was able to bounce both, this might be a good play.
Why not bounce the archer and use spellstutter sprite when they recast?
Do you have a timestamp? I was probably just silly, but would love to give greater reason if I had one
Ah, I found it. Yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't do this. I think I just had tunnel vision and did not think about this simple solution.
Cheers
Cheers!
Super thorough, I appreciate it. I think I could benefit from another one that covers like… the most common, simple, turn without the sub phases that don’t happen as much.. or maybe like… 3 examples of turns in a row… one very basic without optional actions… one with more complex actions.. and one with the most complex actions and responses. But, I’m still a beginner. And this is helpful. I’m gonna watch like 4 more times. Thank you!
Enjoyed the hell out of tihs, long time Wildfire enjoyer
A single Forest with Weather the Storm in the side would probably be prudent.
Teasdale's original list did this exactly. I'm not sure it's necessary, but doesn't hurt the mana much
My friend just asked me this. If he hits me with a Sword of War and Peace and it kills me. Will he gain life from the Sword's triggered ability, as it will not deal damage to me because I no longer exist?
He will gain the life, even though you aren't there to receive damage. If it was an ability that TARGETED only the player that lost, the ability would fizzle, but since this doesn't have a target, it still tries to resolve what it can.
amazing deck!!!!
Thank you!
Hey! if u want a drop 2 that can attack fast you can play Gixian infiltrator, it has good synergy with sacrifice/affi decks
Well we are still a control deck, so I want a 2-drop that provides value and is good when we're behind, but can be aggressive if we happen to have a fast start. Infiltrator is good in the right deck, but I don't think we would want it here
The best way to make a strategy is to learn your opponents by playing over and over and over, some players always play ambassadors or hog Contessa
That is a cookies deck isn’t it 🎉
Um... Yes?
Commie Commander here, There is no controversy with proxies there's only people who are privileged and are assholes. If you don't allow proxies you're just a straight up ruling class simp. Nothing more nothing less. If I came to your table with my proxies and then you try to turn me away I would first be nice and I would then educate you about you know why you need to reflect on that decision. If you still deny me then I just school you and make you look like in capitalist shit head you are.
Wrong. I use my own cards to check the ones I really want to figure out. So first strategy is wrong.
That's also a good strategy, a pretty common one we didn't mention in this video, so not sure how we could be wrong

it could take advantage of okiba-gang considering we have 4 familiars and the prowlers 🤔
Yeah, not a bad idea. Could definitely try 1 in either the sideboard or main deck
Nice brew! I really love Blightning
It's one of my favorites!
Way to go on the Turbo Fog win! It's interesting how it feels like a control deck to play against (answers for everything, a million cards in hand, life is pain), but it sometimes folds in the late game because it's actually a "combo" deck. So you have to play let them drag you into the slog because you might win... Really fun video :)
Yeah, it sucks because there's really no metric of how well you're doing. They could have 2 cards in hand, but if they're Moment's Peaces and you only have combat damage, they have four free turns. Or they could have 7 lands in hand. It's one of my least favorite decks to play against, but that makes the victory so much sweeter.
Blightning's back, alright, alright, alright! (in the style of Backstreet Boys + Matthew McConaughey)
I dig this list. I think I'm going to run a revised version for MNP (Monday Night Pauper) that has the Myr Enforcers replaced with Explore. Having back-to-back-to-back turns with those tapped lands really hurt you long turn so I think the ramp package could help alleviate some of those issues.
I'd be worried you wouldn't have enough threats, and the blood fountains wouldn't have enough targets, but you should definitely give it a shot! Would love to know how it works out
@@StrataGames I don't disagree with you there! haha Will do.
@@StrataGames Okay this is my thought process (feel free to ignore): Out: Myr Enforcer | In: Explore Out: Reckoner's Bargain | In: Fanatical Offering Stuff to figure out how to bring in: Relic's Roar, Behind the Mask, Shambling Ghast, Toxin Analysis. Shambling Ghast and Toxin Analysis both make artifacts that can be targeted by RR and BtM. They're also only 1-mana instead of 2 (Unexpected Fangs and Cast Down). I don't like removing Cast Down from the main, but I don't think this deck needs to be tempo I think this deck needs to be aggro. So maybe Snakeskin Veil instead of Metallic Rebuke?
@@eric.ingramounds like you're shifting heavily from a midrange deck to an aggro deck, which is fine if you can pull it off, but I don't think you could adequately compete with the aggro decks that exist like WW or Mono R (especially if you cut all the lifegain from Fangs and Bargain) RR and BtM are essentially just combat tricks or burn spells, so feels like you'd want red for Galvanics to do a better job of that. Veil is fine, but doesn't protect great against Dust to Dust, Cast into the Fire, or Gorilla Shaman, like Rebuke can. I encourage you to give it a try, because maybe it will work, but it sounds like a lot of downgrades in my opinion.
@ for sure! But as you said this isn’t Grixis affinity and it probably won’t be as good as monored/white. I just really like the build and I think it looks like an absolute blast to pilot. I’ll run it through a league and let you know though!
Oh heck yes! I’ve loved Skinshifter for so long and wanted to get into Dan Dan definitely building the green list. Thank so much for this vid!
Glad you enjoyed!
You can't put a meple on the first tile. It's not your tile.
At 13:15, you have 2 Great Furnace and a bridge. Thats metalcraft homie😊 Edit: Im an idiot. I saw Bog, looked like a Bridge. The art...
Yeah, with different dual lands producing the same colors, you really got to make sure you have the correct ones on the field
@StrataGames If I'd had looked at the list prior, I'd have seen no bridges. Apologies.
I am a huge fan of your videos and white weenie. Tested Martyr's Soul in my own deck and i like it. I've only made two changes from your main list: 1 eagles and 1 prismatic to put 2 suture priest. I feel Suture Priest is great against faeries and glee. My sideboard i dont play hallow (but i liked it a lot). However, play 3 revoke existence instead because affinity matches and to take out other enchantments that can bring some trouble (makeshift, utopia sprawl are examples). I will play a competitive tournament here in Brazil. I will bring you my thoughts about it. Keep up the good work!
I have been trying Suture Priest and like it decently. Yeah, I would play Revoke Existence on a week where Affinity is more prevalent. Looking forward to hearing your report!
@@StrataGames went 1-3 in main event. Dropped to play side event and i have made 5-0-1 (last round i've asked to my opp to draw - all day playing, my mind was blowing off. I've made some changes Take out all martyr, and played with 4 lunarch and 2 ardenvale tactician ( i was struggling against gruul and other matchs that had a bunch of creatures). Deck performed well in this side event. I think you can take out all hallows and put more hate artifacts to deal with affinity (my SB was 4 revoke and 3 dusts) Keep up the good work with white weenie.
Nice run in the side event! Might have to try Tactician. If your meta is more affinity-heavy, then I agree. Just depends on what you're more scared of seeing. Look out for another WW video in the not-too-distant future!
@@StrataGames thanks! In side event deck performed pretty sweet. Of course, i always struggling with affinity. Thats why i play 7 SB cards for them. Revoke is very huge agaisnt boogles as well!
Can you make a video explaining the Tier levels in pauper? Great video
The tiers are always shifting in pauper, so I'm not sure I will get around to it anytime soon, but I would recommend checking out some of Kirblinxy's videos for detailed meta discussion
I've been thinking about a BUG affinity list for a while. I had wanted to put Colossal Dreadmask as the top end threat but it was too slow
Yeah, I know it's seen some decent play in Gruul monsters, but is really expensive for affinity
Today, we're not burning bridges, we're reinforcing them with a vibranium alloy and granting them sentience. It's fun to play god!
