There are 3 countries that make the problem: 1.Northen Macedonia believe they are the old Macedonia of Alexander the Great and the world of Alexander belong to them. 2.Serbia, when you think about Serbia, they just think they are the greatest and are very greedy dominating the whole region. 3.Romania which is actually extended Wlahia, including 10 other nations that now think that they are also Romanians, which mean Romans, which mean Roman empire, and it is actually sooo far from reality. The Greek history, the Bulgarian history, the Albanian history, Croatian, Slovenian, Turkish, they are actually true. only this 3 have totally false history, and the Macedonian one is actually made from Serbians also. So Serbians are masters of making false history. Romanians, most of them don't actually believe in this Roman empire thing, because this was invented in times where they where able to capsulate the nation, but now everyone study in the west and they realize the truth. But Serbia is still in their own delusions, and Macedonia too...

Why 3rd war why not the whole balkan to be one country anyway the mentality of all balkan people is almost the same ... the problem is most of the people are nationalists instead of thinking about the needy and helping the youth go forward we say oh this is mine thats mine ..... and also the music is almost the same in all balkan the same music we use all the way from serbia to albania to greece all the way to turkey
We have nothing in common with the rest of Balcan. The only common is some foods with Turkey and some similarites in music NOTHING MORE. Byzantine Empire and Bulgaria were the traditional Balkan powers. Except from 1330 onwards when Serbia became the Balkan power and then the Ottoman empire for the longest time.

To bad the Byzantine Empire fell as it did. One of the greatest empires in history. It had to catastrophes: The battle of Manzikert and the 1204 crusade against Constantinople. So basically the women in Europe have mostly paleo-European DNA and the men are from Siberia.

Balkans is where Europe was born. before Balkans was Balkans, Europe was Balkans. when Balkans became Balkans, renaissance started its way from Balkans into Europe. thus Europe was born again.
Something I'd like to point out, after 1389 Topia's Kingdom was dissolved in 4 smaller Kingdoms. Those being Dukagjin (North), Kastrioti (Center), Arianiti (Center-South) and Muzaka/Lordship of Berat (South). These principalities didn't fall to the Ottomans until 1417. Also between 1359 - 1416 there was a short-lived Arta principality that was under the rule of the Losha family. Other than that the video seemed good.
@user-wv9hy4sv4x It was, it was a serbian state ruled by vuk brankovic from 1371-1391 until it was conquered after the battle of kosovo beetween serbs and turks.
@user-wv9hy4sv4x And I quote , - "was a Serbian medieval nobleman who, during the Fall of the Serbian Empire, inherited a province that extended over present-day southern and southwestern Serbia, entire Kosovo, the northern part of present-day Republic of North Macedonia, and northern Montenegro. " It was a province of Serbia, Serbia was divided after the fall of the Serbia Empire under Uros V "the weak". Please, if you're trying to justify Kosovo now being an "independent country", which they aren't, then please get some valid arguments - he was literally a Serbian noble born on Kosovo and the best friend of Prince Lazar. Brennos Galatis i dont see greece till so late in the clip yet they say ancient greek..they mean Macedonia which clearly shows from the start.no offence
The Macedonian The whole misconception of Greece being an Ancient civilisation started right before the First World War when Austrohungary and Germanie wanted to awaken the National spirit of Greece so they could help them drive out the Otomans. The whole idea was to give the greek people a shared history and belief wich was only partially true, while macedonians of slav origins had to give up their own to accommodate the creation of greek history. Meanwhile ancient greece newer existed, yes the city states did exist but they were almost newer united intoo a confederation or republic until they got conquered by Alexandar the great.
Kevin Clementi The fact that the ancient Greek States and Kingdoms never formed a united state doesn't mean that the modern Greeks has no relation with the ancient Greeks. In Peloponnese, the Aegean islands and in Central Greece the local Greeks mixed a little bit with other nations through the centuries but they kept their identity because of the Orthodox Church and the biggest proof is that the Greek language managed to survive for millenniums. Macedonia (as a geographical region) was a multi-national region under Ottoman occupation. A modern survey about the modern Greeks showed that their DNA is common with the Spaniards and Italians and only 10%- 12% is Slavic DNA. My point is that many Empires passed by Greece but this doesn't mean that they brought with them their population to settle. For example, Greece was under Roman control for 1500 years, this doesn't mean that Romans came and mixed with the Greeks. Some important numbers who came in Central Greece was only the illyrians and Slavs.

That's the Easter Roman Empire....not Greece. Greece got conquered. Yes you could say it was Greece because the Eastern Roman Empire was in Greece after it split with the Holy Roman Empire but you should remember that in fact, Roman Empire did conquer Greece. @@Antonio1950 yes the Romans did conquer greece and BTW while they invaded they met the Greek culture, alphabet, language and so much more and copied even the 12 Greek gods. But when Rome fell with the western empire, the east, which was inhabited by allmost only Greeks, was hellenized just like Alexander the great spread hellenism around the known world. Map of Macedonia by renowned german geographer Heinrich Kiepert: language regions of Macedonia in 1899. Blue is Greek, red Slavic, purple mix Albanian/Slavic. (You can see the map on google or my IG or fb) The early history of Macedonia remains unknown and what is known starts from the 6th century bc. The birth-place of the Macedonians was Orestis, where, according to ancient tradition, their royal dynasty originated. The dynasty had two names: Argeades and Timenides. Due to the fact that Timenes was also the name of the leader of the Dorians of Argos, the tradition evolved that the origins of the Macedonian Kings were Peloponnesian Argos. It was to Homer the Macedonians looked to for their values.** Their language, alphabet, and gods were Greek. Alexander's mother was said to be descended from Achilles (herself being a princess from Epirus, and a priestess of the Mysteries). FYROM (Former Yugoslavic Republic of Macedonia) is demographically made up mostly of Albanian and Bulgarian descent. The language of FYROM is also closest to the original Church Slavonic (the oldest form of the language) which itself is derived from medieval Bulgarian.* This is why throughout its modern history Macedonia was claimed by Bulgaria and IMRO (the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization) that operated in the 20th century and was based out of Bulgaria. The borders of modern FYROM also don’t fall within the classical borders of Macedonia. Technically it exists in the area known as Paeones (Paeonia), a territory north of Macedonia eventually integrated into the Macedonia of antiquity by the Macedonian Kings. *Bulgarians had one of the most advanced kingdoms in Europe along w Serbia who many scholars credit as being one of the first sparks of the renaissance (in their famous monastery paintings of the 14th cent). These courts were modeled after the imperial Byzantine court and had complex and shifting relations to each other. See comments for remaining image captions. **The patriarchal line of succession of the Kings, belonging to the Homeric epoch, was maintained in Macedonia. The king was the chief of the army, as well as high priest and judge. The power of the king was mainly dependent on the noble land owners, who served in the cavalry and bore the honorary title “errors (the king’s companions.)” the assembly of the army was also powerful. The assembly would approve the election of the new king and also approve trials for high treason. Albin H. Albanian has nothing to do with Illyrians. you are quoting village stories taught you by the communists. “The two are opposites and cannot fit together,” he says. “Albanian is not as the same as Illyrian from a linguistic point of view.” Balkan Insight (Austrian Scholars Leave Albania Lost for Words | Balkan Insight (balkaninsight.com/2011/03/25/austrian-scholars-leave-albania-lost-for-words/)) Ask yourself why if Albanian was the source of indo-européen languages not one book or text is written in it until five centuries ago? Nor are they ever mentioned by Romano-byzantines, Hungarians, Italians, Germans, Bulgarians, etc. Albanians are mostly epirote greeks from antiquity. That’s why there is a large Greek population even today in the hundreds of thousands. Albanians may have originated from various sources including Avars and Norman mercenaries. The Latin influence on Albanian is from Romania-not Italy, which would be the case if they were indigenous. That whole area until modern times was Greek dating to Epirus and the colonies of the Greek city states. Kastrioti is a Greek name and he lived and wrote Greek and claimed to be from Greece. The same is true of other alleged early Albanian bibles who all have Greek names. The via Ignacia and other main routes ran through the region. Modern Greeks can perfectly understand the Greek of Alexander the Great’s time. Only when we reach Homer does it begin to be less clear. albanian on the other hand has nothing in common virtually with Ancient Greek. One Albanian tried to tell me Heracles came from “Strong Oak” in Albanian when any layman knows it’s means “Glory of Hera” from Heracles’ 12 Labors. Many Albanians are prone to such anachronistic nonsense village stories. It’s an antiquated 19th century form of nationalism resorted to by fascists who craft romanticized pasta that never existed. Croats and Serbs also claimed they were the Illyrians once upon a time just as the French once claimed direct descent from Trojans punishable by law if one denied it! No one knows what or where it really came from as Albanians never wrote books even though they say they lived in the most literate Byzantine and Roman empires. A little strange right? Did the Albanians not know how to write books or did they not exist back then. Slav placenames predate albanian and the latin influence comes from Romania not Italy, meaning Albanian comes from closer to the steppes. That why they call themselves Shiqtar, like Bul-gar, Hun-gar, Tat-ar, Khaz-ar, Magyar, and you-Shqip-tar. Scholars agree your language is related to the area north of the Jirecek line.
The ancient Macedonians were a distinct nation, separate from their neighbors, the ancient Greeks, Illyrians, and Thracians. The ancient Greek and Roman historians tell us that the Macedonians spoke a separate Macedonian language and had their own customs, culture, and traditions.
Sorry, and I'm half Cro. But Croatia didn't survive the Ottoman's, or maybe they did, But instead of fighting became a vassal to Venice, later Austro-Hungary. They offered you help, they denied the Byzantines and Servians later. But that help came at the cost of vassalisation, and later Albanians being shipped by the Turks, to fight the Papal state's Moorish contigent. The fortress at Hvar and Dubrovnik, were venetian built. Croatia has a habit of selling out to the next big empire. Now that might sound chicken and treacherous. Last secession, it was. But I'm also half Serbian. And it might be considered smart. All of Hitler's and Hapsburg allies were favoured. I wouldn't say rewarded, because Serbia caught up. No help that was offered by the US, eventuated. Industry gone. With money manipulation, huge loans. they have just become markets for western products. That local couldn't compete with. Croatians pride themselves on having a tourism industry. But that should never be even a secondary source of income. But still, If Serbia sided with Hitler back then. We never would have got demonized like that, with Hapsburg propaganda projected at us. And since westerners are politically apathetic or novices. No one picked up on it. Zeitgeist of 90 years.

Funny how Southern Slavic immigrants live to manipulate history for their own benefit when it comes to Albania. Dear Southern Slavic immigrants. Albania did not appear in the XX century. Balkan = playground of great powers (ever since they sent us turks)
Kevin Clementi
The fact that the ancient Greek States and Kingdoms never formed a united state doesn't mean that the modern Greeks has no relation with the ancient Greeks.

Yes you could say it was Greece because the Eastern Roman Empire was in Greece after it split with the Holy Roman Empire but you should remember that in fact, Roman Empire did conquer Greece.
Edit: 1:32 , 143 BC Roman Empire conquered Greece
@@Antonio1950 yes the Romans did conquer greece and BTW while they invaded they met the Greek culture, alphabet, language and so much more and copied even the 12 Greek gods. They stole allmost more than half of Greek language. So when greece was conquered they were under Roman leadership. But when Rome fell with the western empire, the east, which was inhabited by allmost only Greeks, was hellenized just like Alexander the great spread hellenism around the known world. So the Byzantine empire is greek because,
1. Byzantine people spoke Greek
2. Byzanz was Christian orthodox not as Italians roman-catholic
3. The most people were originally from Greece
4. The capital Constantinople was a Greek colony and a Greek city as it was and will allways be the capital of eastern Christianity.

@@joniademaj9731 Ah yes, Harvard and Brittanica, famous for their strictly scientific, non political statements. Yet anybody who actually delves into the nitty-gritty details, historical accounts and works, will find that the term Illyrian refered exclusively to South Slavs, until Austria found some mountain goat herdeders, many of whom were Serbian in origin, and decided to give them a history and a country, to further Austrian political goals in the area, and to give the "Albanians", some sort of claim to being natives, although linguistic, cultural and genetic evidence proves otherwise. In Serbia there are tales, that my grandmother told me, of the evil king Trojan, and emperor Diocletian, and in Croatia there are legends about Atilla the Hun raiding in Istria, are there any in Albania? Do you have stories of the apostle Paul teaching in Dalmatia? Odd how, even though you claim to be Illyrians, we are the ones who actually carry andemic Dinaric genes. It's also odd how all serious linguistic studies, place your language in an strange limbo, between Caucasian and Berber, yet your words are mainly borrowed from Latin and Slavic. The words that aren't borrowed refer to plants and animals found in the Caucasus region. And to top it all off, Albanians are first mentioned in the 11th century, long after the last mention of Illyrians, so were you just hiding in a mountain until somebody saw you like a bigfoot and first decided to mention you, or were you brought here from Sicily as all sources from that time say?

Byzantine: Just a little thing. Not important.
Ottomans: *Are you sure about that?*
From an unbiased point of view the most powerful balkan states were:1.Byzantine empire, 2.Bulgarian empire, 3.Serbian empire. We are more similar to each other than we would like to admit and we should never fight again, it's our governments' fault for what happened in the past but our people have always been friends and brothers and this is how it should be for the future. The future is more important than the past and if there's one thing we should have learnt from history it's that unity makes us strong(or else we get conquered, like we did by ottomans).

To summarize the Balkan Peninsula: it's pretty much owned by the ottoman empire and the roman empire
Bob Make it used to be for 500 years, yes.
Bob Make By your logic it is owned by the Bulgarian Empire too cuz lets see:
Byzantine Empire:1123 years of being there
Ottoman(rapist) empire: 500-600 years rounded up
Bulgarian Empire:715 years
The byzantine empire owns this peninsula for 1000 years, ottomans for 600 and romans for 300years. So Greeks were longer than both empires 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Roman lasted more than the ottoman empire
and bulgarian empire lol
The Balkans are actually quite peaceful when you think about it. Most of the time the penisula was dominated by great powers such as the Romans and Ottomans for hundreds of years. Compared to the HRE’s constant squabbling at least.

Map of Macedonia by renowned german geographer Heinrich Kiepert: language regions of Macedonia in 1899. Blue is Greek, red Slavic, purple mix Albanian/Slavic. (You can see the map on google or my IG or fb)
The early history of Macedonia remains unknown and what is known starts from the 6th century bc.

“Albanian is not as the same as Illyrian from a linguistic point of view.”
Balkan Insight (Austrian Scholars Leave Albania Lost for Words | Balkan Insight (balkaninsight.com/2011/03/25/austrian-scholars-leave-albania-lost-for-words/))
Ask yourself why if Albanian was the source of indo-européen languages not one book or text is written in it until five centuries ago?
True Facts ^
The ancient Macedonians were a distinct nation, separate from their neighbors, the ancient Greeks, Illyrians, and Thracians. The ancient Greek and Roman historians tell us that the Macedonians spoke a separate Macedonian language and had their own customs, culture, and traditions.

Sorry, and I'm half Cro.
But Croatia didn't survive the Ottoman's, or maybe they did,
But instead of fighting became a vassal to Venice, later Austro-Hungary.

And it might be considered smart.
All of Hitler's and Hapsburg allies were favoured. I wouldn't say rewarded, because Serbia caught up. No help that was offered by the US, eventuated.

Dear Southern Slavic immigrants. Albania did not appear in the XX century.
Albania was known back in the Ancient times as Epirus, Macedonia and in the XX century survived as one of the Illyrian tribes called Albani. Basically Epirus, Illyria and Macedonia were the same ancient stock, Albanians are their modern yet ancient surviving.
It was timeline of borders of states. Albania became a state in 1912. Up until that time it was part of other states.
