There are 3 countries that make the problem: 1.Northen Macedonia believe they are the old Macedonia of Alexander the Great and the world of Alexander belong to them. 2.Serbia, when you think about Serbia, they just think they are the greatest and are very greedy dominating the whole region. 3.Romania which is actually extended Wlahia, including 10 other nations that now think that they are also Romanians, which mean Romans, which mean Roman empire, and it is actually sooo far from reality. Byzantine Empire and Bulgaria were the traditional Balkan powers. Except from 1330 onwards when Serbia became the Balkan power and then the Ottoman empire for the longest time.

Something I'd like to point out, after 1389 Topia's Kingdom was dissolved in 4 smaller Kingdoms. Those being Dukagjin (North), Kastrioti (Center), Arianiti (Center-South) and Muzaka/Lordship of Berat (South). These principalities didn't fall to the Ottomans until 1417. Also between 1359 - 1416 there was a short-lived Arta principality that was under the rule of the Losha family. Other than that the video seemed good.

In Peloponnese, the Aegean islands and in Central Greece the local Greeks mixed a little bit with other nations through the centuries but they kept their identity because of the Orthodox Church and the biggest proof is that the Greek language managed to survive for millenniums. Macedonia (as a geographical region) was a multi-national region under Ottoman occupation. A modern survey about the modern Greeks showed that their DNA is common with the Spaniards and Italians and only 10%- 12% is Slavic DNA. My point is that many Empires passed by Greece but this doesn't mean that they brought with them their population to settle. For example, Greece was under Roman control for 1500 years, this doesn't mean that Romans came and mixed with the Greeks. Some important numbers who came in Central Greece was only the illyrians and Slavs.

By the looks of it it looks like serbia was split between croatia and bulgaria while in reality croatia and serbia were allies in that war with croatia liberating serbia from bulgaria. AFIK there was never really any considerable non-Hellenic population that far south in the boundaries of classical Hellas/ancient Greece.

From an unbiased point of view the most powerful balkan states were:1.Byzantine empire, 2.Bulgarian empire, 3.Serbian empire. We are more similar to each other than we would like to admit and we should never fight again, it's our governments' fault for what happened in the past but our people have always been friends and brothers and this is how it should be for the future. The future is more important than the past and if there's one thing we should have learnt from history it's that unity makes us strong(or else we get conquered, like we did by ottomans).

Something I'd like to point out, after 1389 Topia's Kingdom was dissolved in 4 smaller Kingdoms. Those being Dukagjin (North), Kastrioti (Center), Arianiti (Center-South) and Muzaka/Lordship of Berat (South). These principalities didn't fall to the Ottomans until 1417. Also between 1359 - 1416 there was a short-lived Arta principality that was under the rule of the Losha family.

My point is that many Empires passed by Greece but this doesn't mean that they brought with them their population to settle. For example, Greece was under Roman control for 1500 years, this doesn't mean that Romans came and mixed with the Greeks. From an unbiased point of view the most powerful balkan states were:1.Byzantine empire, 2.Bulgarian empire, 3.Serbian empire. We are more similar to each other than we would like to admit and we should never fight again, it's our governments' fault for what happened in the past but our people have always been friends and brothers and this is how it should be for the future. But instead of fighting became a vassal to Venice, later Austro-Hungary.
They offered you help, they denied the Byzantines and Servians later.
But that help came at the cost of vassalisation, and later Albanians being shipped by the Turks, to fight the Papal state's Moorish contigent.
The fortress at Hvar and Dubrovnik, were venetian built.

Dubrovnik is a Serbian city. Later on the Venetians took it from the Byzantines(who took it from the Bulgarians who took it from us). Although I do credit the Venetians for building the city’s fortress.
Though as you can see the city has never been part of Croatia till post 20th Century..

Albania was known back in the Ancient times as Epirus, Macedonia and in the XX century survived as one of the Illyrian tribes called Albani. Basically Epirus, Illyria and Macedonia were the same ancient stock, Albanians are their modern yet ancient surviving.
It was timeline of borders of states. Albania became a state in 1912. Up until that time it was part of other states.
