Its just the beginning for you! This is when Su-Metal(Lead) was 16, Yui-Metal(left) & Moa-Metal(right) were 14yrs old. Su is 22now and Moa 20. Yui left the band ending 2018 due to health issues & pursue a solo career. Su & Moa still keeping it real. These girls and the band work there asses off!!!!

The official statement from both Yui and their management company Amuse Inc. is that she had to take time out due to illness and eventually decided to leave the band to persue her own dreams and solo projects. She is currently still listed as being under management by Amuse Inc.

They're so much fun. It's weird because one of their biggest criticisms is their biggest strength: they don't write and arrange their own music. They have 30 fantastic songs that are all different. There is no other way that could happen. Their songs are different from each other because they're written and arranged by different people.

The live performances are so delightful to watch because the crowd is into the show 100% with the band. It warms my heart to see these ladies getting that much support from that large of a fanbase. Also for this song in particular during the quiet parts, Su's vocals are really haunting.
You keep mentioning the band. They are called "Kamiband" And they themselves are the equivalent of a super group put together just to support the girls. Each member of the band has a regular gig in other bands/teaching positions around the country. And they rotate out as needed depending on scheduling.
Yeah it's a huge effort by a lot of people to pull this all off. The band, the girls, their producer koba and the people who write and arrange their songs all deserve a ton of credit. Their talent agency who signed these girls when they were 10 years old and surrounded them with talented producers.

This band is called ''Kami Band", they have been playing with babymetal since 2012. If you live in Europe, just check tour dates, because babymetal just started the European Tour Last Week, and there are going be more than 20 shows in Europe, including main stages in festival like HellFest, Rock am ring, Graspop, etc.

I am a Metalhead since i was 8 years old right now I have 32 years, 24 years listen to heavy music and i never see something like this! Babymetal became my favorite band period... But the funny or sad thing is that the first time a listen to them was in the 2014 and was gimme chocolate... And i was like ught WTF is this!!! This is f#@%ing wrong!! I was a fool... Road of Resistance live in Japan after that everything is history i am a die hard fan man for me they are the best thing that happen to Metal music, what is more amazing is that at 17 and 15 year old that girls kick's so much ass!! in the Road of Resistance live video they have that ages and that was a sold out 20,000 crowd concert, the most amazing thing is that in the 2016 they sold out the mitic Tokyo Dome 55,000 sold out crowd two night's in a row total 110,000!! and the two night's have a diferent set list!! No one song was play it twice, their support band is called The Kami Band (band of gods) they literaly are gods in their instruments some of the best musicians of the Metal music scene in Japan! I first heard Doki Doki on the internet, found it funny but thought it was just another weird shit from Japan. Then when Karate released, again found it cool, but I didn't regard them as a real heavy metal band. Just this pandemic, I accidently fell into the foxhole, and listened & learned everything about the band, and oh boy how wrong have I been. These 3 girls (now amazing women) + the Kami band are metal AF. Most annoying thing is, I was supposed to see them in 2020, but COVID happened.
An angel like Suzuka shouldn't have Ears so adorable!!! She IS the Queen! When you start with their Sakura Gakuin videos, you will be lost forever in the foxhole! This Band made it to my No.2 band (after Rush) in just 2 or 3 days!
Rush is my favorite band also. They are not No. 2 but I am enjoying them tremendously as I have just found them recently and they are climbing up my list rapidly. Surprised me how much I am enjoying their music even understanding that they are an Idol band, but they seem more 'true' than most.
Also, behind all that wall of guitar and drums, there is a dose of joy and humour in it that defies the serious headbanger analyzers and gatekeepers who very much like to determine what is "real" metal.

Watching them do both Painkiller and Braking the law at the Alternative Press event in 2016 was amazing. The rest of Babymetal set was on point. Another good j-metal group is Ningen Isu. I highly recommend them.

Come on...LOOK at the mass of humanity gathered for this show! And this happened YEARS ago! (when the ladies were just teens). And here we are, the foreigners, barely discovering their Power of Music. Look man, this group is all about Fusion of sound, collaboration with others, and embraces diversity. Nobody does what Babymetal does as well as Babymetal does. They basically invented a new metal sub-genre. :-) Not many can deliver such energy. Energizer Bunnies is what they are. :-) Imagine being at a show for an hour or 1 and half of that, you'll have a hard time getting back home because of being exhausted. LOL Babymetal shows it all comes together, the heavy music, the performance of the girls (young ladies now), the musicianship, the showmanship, etc. but the best part is when the audience is into it. Then it all goes up a notch. Like "go up to 11 !"
If you think watching their videos is intense. You need to see them live. I was lucky enough to catch one of their US tours in Austin. Seeing them live is on a whole different level!

So much so, I drove to St Paul, MN to see them last September in a 1200 capacity club & then in October, flew to LA to witness their first ever USA arena show. It didn't get played for a while, so when they played it on their US tour last year we were all happy to see it. I caught them in DC and it was easily the best show I've ever been to in my life, and I'm a 40 year old metal head. There are so many bands who are just absolutely terrible live. They never sound even close to as good as on their recordings. BABYMETAL is not like that. They consider themselves more performing artists than recording artists, and they are ALWAYS better live! There is so much you get out of their live shows you could never hope to even dream of getting from their albums. Some of my faves from Babymetal are Distortion and Megistune. But you will probably get a blast out of most of their songs. If you are going down this route, I can't recommend Senbonsakura by Wagakki enough. It's got a similar vibe to it.

This band is called ''Kami Band", they have been playing with babymetal since 2012. If you live in Europe, just check tour dates, because babymetal just started the European Tour Last Week, and there are going be more than 20 shows in Europe, including main stages in festival like HellFest, Rock am ring, Graspop, etc.

I am a Metalhead since i was 8 years old right now I have 32 years, 24 years listen to heavy music and i never see something like this! Babymetal became my favorite band period... But the funny or sad thing is that the first time a listen to them was in the 2014 and was gimme chocolate... And i was like ught WTF is this!!! This is f#@%ing wrong!! I was a fool... Can you believed that!? Haha i give them a second chance 4 years later... Yeah you read right... I wasted 4 years until i give them a second oportunity and was one of the videos you react today... Road of Resistance live in Japan after that everything is history i am a die hard fan man for me they are the best thing that happen to Metal music, what is more amazing is that at 17 and 15 year old that girls kick's so much ass!! in the Road of Resistance live video they have that ages and that was a sold out 20,000 crowd concert, the most amazing thing is that in the 2016 they sold out the mitic Tokyo Dome 55,000 sold out crowd two night's in a row total 110,000!! and the two night's have a diferent set list!! No one song was play it twice, their support band is called The Kami Band (band of gods) they literaly are gods in their instruments some of the best musicians of the Metal music scene in Japan! I first heard Doki Doki on the internet, found it funny but thought it was just another weird shit from Japan. Then when Karate released, again found it cool, but I didn't regard them as a real heavy metal band. Just this pandemic, I accidently fell into the foxhole, and listened & learned everything about the band, and oh boy how wrong have I been. These 3 girls (now amazing women) + the Kami band are metal AF.
Most annoying thing is, I was supposed to see them in 2020, but COVID happened.
An angel like Suzuka shouldn't have Ears so adorable!!! She IS the Queen! When you start with their Sakura Gakuin videos, you will be lost forever in the foxhole! This Band made it to my No.2 band (after Rush) in just 2 or 3 days!
Rush is my favorite band also. They are not No. 2 but I am enjoying them tremendously as I have just found them recently and they are climbing up my list rapidly. Surprised me how much I am enjoying their music even understanding that they are an Idol band, but they seem more 'true' than most.
Also, behind all that wall of guitar and drums, there is a dose of joy and humour in it that defies the serious headbanger analyzers and gatekeepers who very much like to determine what is "real" metal.

Watching them do both Painkiller and Braking the law at the Alternative Press event in 2016 was amazing. The rest of Babymetal set was on point. Another good j-metal group is Ningen Isu. I highly recommend them.

Come on...LOOK at the mass of humanity gathered for this show! And this happened YEARS ago! (when the ladies were just teens). And here we are, the foreigners, barely discovering their Power of Music. Look man, this group is all about Fusion of sound, collaboration with others, and embraces diversity. Babymetal shows it all comes together, the heavy music, the performance of the girls (young ladies now), the musicianship, the showmanship, etc. but the best part is when the audience is into it. Then it all goes up a notch. Like "go up to 11 !"
If you think watching their videos is intense. You need to see them live. I was lucky enough to catch one of their US tours in Austin. Seeing them live is on a whole different level!

All-female metal bands in Japan is a happening thing and there are many that are freaking awesome, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Bridear, Aldious and so on are my all-time favorites
The girls from Band Maid are world class. (I have more than a small crush on MISA) Do you think Aldious sounds better with Re:No or not? Doll$boxx and Mary's Blood are another two great bands.

Hi Jamel_AKA_Jamal! Great reaction! I think "Headbanger!" is probably my second favorite BABYMETAL song. It's about a girl going to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday. It didn't get played for a while, so when they played it on their US tour last year we were all happy to see it. I caught them in DC and it was easily the best show I've ever been to in my life, and I'm a 40 year old metal head. There are so many bands who are just absolutely terrible live. They never sound even close to as good as on their recordings. BABYMETAL is not like that. They consider themselves more performing artists than recording artists, and they are ALWAYS better live! There is so much you get out of their live shows you could never hope to even dream of getting from their albums. Su's amazing near flawless live vocals, Moa and now the avengers choreo performance, the Kami Band's metal mastery, the energy from the crowd, it's electrifying...

Some of my faves from Babymetal are Distortion and Megistune. But you will probably get a blast out of most of their songs. If you are going down this route, I can't recommend Senbonsakura by Wagakki enough. It's got a similar vibe to it.
