      @vhaarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Spoiler alert: Most metal musicians are fun loving good people. It often doesn't seem that way because the music or lyrics sound angry, but they are. And so are the fans. Babymetal does bring something "fun", but so do most other metal bands, you just haven't noticed.

    • @ragerider6283
      @ragerider6283 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vhaarr Lol. Is that so & I notice plenty thanks. I was around when Sabbath were current & I'm a metal head for as long as I can remember. I also made no comment about the musicians personalities as I'm fully aware they are obviously just normal people too! A lot of metal whether you like it or not is very similar despite the many sub-genres. Dark, aggressive, shouted or screamed by angry guys & the occasional women, which is why I like it! My point, which ironically you haven't noticed, is that Babymetal are not typical or conventional in the genre so by definition are different. How many other metal bands do you know of are fronted by female Japanese pop singers lol?

      I think I'm among those that it was an easier jump for because, even though I was a metalhead and pretty big into hardcore punk, stuff like that (though I could appreciate other genres including some that pop had to offer, it wasn't anywhere near as much), I had gotten into anime, and by proxy of that found an appreciation for JRock and JPop (damn you, lovely catchy theme songs!). BabyMetal didn't even really catch me at first. I saw the _Gimme Chocolate_ video around the time it was released, and just thought, "Well, of course, that would be a thing because Japan being Japan." and just shrugged it off. Then I returned to it a while later, and it totally clicked with me. So, here I am. :D

      @thismyname2501 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what band and who is your favorite female metal singer?

    • @groverXIII
      @groverXIII 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thismyname2501 An excellent question. There's honorable mentions like Leilindel of the sadly now-defunct Unexpect and Dominique Lenore Persi of Stolen Babies, and I've found myself really liking Martina Veronika Horváth and her contributions to the last two Thy Catafalque albums even though she's really more a guest contributor there.
      But my absolute favorite would have to be Asphodel, formerly of Pin-Up Went Down and Penumbra and currently of öOoOoOoOoOo. (öOoOoOoOoOo pronounce their name as 'Chenille', and once you understand that Chenille is French for 'Caterpillar' their name makes sense.) I'd say she's possibly the most versatile vocalist that I've ever heard, even more so than Mike Patton, and that's not a statement I make lightly. To really get a feel for what she can do, you really have to listen to öOoOoOoOoOo's entire Samen album and then understand that she does almost all of the vocals on the album, from the childlike-sounding vocals to the death growls and everything in-between.
      All of the bands I've mentioned are pretty avant-garde and unconventional in their own ways, but they're all incredible and worth the time it takes to listen to them.

    • @thismyname2501
      @thismyname2501 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Butthole Surfer I know everyone has different musical tastes and i dont hate it. But how can you compare an adult vocalist with a 16-year-old girl? I have never heard of Tatiana and her band but I tried to find her and yes, Tatiana is a good vocalist, but she cannot make herself and her band known to the world. A band is not just about individuals, but how you package a band to attract and be loved by fans around the world.
      I know that Su and 2 other girls don't play music and don't write lyrics. But I also believe that The Great "Kami" Band would not be known to the world as it is now without the Su-metal role on stage as part of Babymetal, and vice versa. As we know that Babymetal was formed before the Kami band became part of Babymetal. They have not yet joined their first song titled "Doki doki Morning", "Headbanger" and "Gimme Chocolate". Su-metal has a good voice at his age and he can attract attention not only from metalheads around the world to watch their live performances.

    Hi Jamel_AKA_Jamal! Good reaction! Those lyrics convey the message, the song is about fighting on in the face of adversity, never giving up, and working together. This is the song that really got me into the group. I'd heard them before but dismissed them for about a year until I watched this "KARATE" music video. When Su-Metal (lead singer) steps forward and sang her first lines I was hooked. Instant fan for life. While most metal sings about death, destruction, and misery, BABYMETAL sings to inspire, to lift you up, about anti-bullying, and chocolate! They consider themselves more performing artists than recording artists so I would always recommend watching their live videos, but this music video is one of their better ones.

    Interesting thing: wanna know where they came from? Here's a vid of them at school (Suzukas Graduation, that's why all are crying, cuz they think they'll never see her again). Awesome song starting with Suzuka, Moa is the one who is crying first and Yui holds her hand before her face in the end (Moa and Yui are the smallest ones, so easy to spot) th-cam.com/video/YNtgptXr8-o/w-d-xo.html .Did you notice Moa's little smile just before she captured the fly ?

    great reaction is a pleasure to see an energy youtuber reacting to babymetal this is by definition an idol group that plays j-pop and kawai metal this song was made on February 26, 2016 a great song but if you want the full experience I recommend reacting to your lives to enjoy their interaction with the public and enjoy the show completely arrive a little late you already have like 3 videos more espwro continue to react to them to take you more surprises many feel missed by this style but apparently you enjoyed it from the first minute you are from Open minded I certainly hope you keep it up.
