I’d definitely put Cry for Me in the It’s Over Era, and possibly even Doughnut. CFM communicates the fact that you want a past lover to hurt, but also are unsure about it, it represents at its core anger. Doughnut always communicated a cycle of sadness to me. The It’s Over era kinda aligns with the six stages of grief. The first Twice song I ever heard was Fancy, and listened to Cry for Me right after and after reading the lyrics that’s when I discovered Twice had some type of through-line with their eras and concepts, but I didn’t think it went this deep.
i love how you placed i can’t stop me and perfect world!! it especially works i think since in “i can’t stop me” the love seems so toxic and the partner has so much power over them that they end the relationship by saying get out, get lost in “perfect world”
I only somewhat followed TWICE very recently, I really enjoy their songs but never EVER thought about their lore Now watching this video… why does it sound oddly familiar to my situation right now?! I’m stuck at the “Signal Era” IRL 🙃 Anyways… absolutely amazing video, thank you for making it!
I'm so happy that you updated the twimeline 🤣 also I know that Brand New Girl is a b-side track to Candy Pop, but since it has a Music video I think that it would fit nicely into the "self-discovery era" since twice is becoming a new person and they are discovering themselves and they are now feeling like a "brand new girl", anyways I loved the video, it's so interesting to see how this story takes place also the fact that twice has made so many releases is crazy, we as onces has definitely been fed over the years 🫶🙌
I unfortunately can’t agree with your explanation of ICSM in the lore. To me the song is about not just falling, but crashing into lust and temptation with someone even though it’s not healthy. I don’t see it as a breakup song, but I moreso see it as the cracks starting to show when the dynamic becomes so intense and codependent that every interaction seems to blind the speaker to all the responsibilities and conventions of life. It’s not really love but an almost animalistic craving that is all in all irresponsible. I still think it can fit in the same era but I prefer my own assessment of the song. I think this is still very well done and I appreciate all the work you put into it!!
I like your idea a lot more! The narrator crossing the red line for the sake of love, and her perspective changing on this relationship as a result of that
You do not get the credit you deserve for these in-depth analyses. Like every time I watch a vid of yours I'm like who actually thinks about this stuff. And it blows me away every time. Love your channel!
11:01 WHAT ABOUT US, WHAT ABOUT EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN THORUGH, ok I'm sorry! I saw an opportunity and I took it haha. in other words, this video is amazing, the timeline is coming together nicely and the lore is explained in enough detail for us to understand. great job Jimi :)
i feel like a fun aspect of lore is trying to predict where it will go next, based off of the groundwork thats already been established. i suppose in your vid, you implicitly make the case that their exploration of the lore is nonchronological, e.g. strategy in the confession phase, more and more in reconciliation etc. you you think this give us insight into what their next releases might be ? or perhaps suggest the kinds of themes that they might explore in future albums?
Im pretty sure heart shaker is much later in the timeline, considering it has the line "I won't wait anymore, gonna tell you what i feel now" (or smth similar to this). And some songs are about them waiting for the boy to confess (like cheer up) so i think heart shaker is at least after cheer up
I would say Pop and ABCD in the "Say it Back" era, Killing Me Good between I Can't Stop Me and Perfect World in the "It's Over" Era. Idk About Run Away... Maybe at the beginning of the reconciliation era? The narrator knows the relationship might not work out and could go badly but she's in love again?
@@taylorlingwall2441 Definitely agree! I wasn’t sure about the narrative of Run Away either, but putting it at the beginning of reconciliation makes a lot of sense!
Gather round as we talk about Twice lore and its Twimeline in Twiceness.
Ngl… this would be a FIRE concert concept with setlist and all lol
This is what we should be studying in school tbh
i had zero idea twice had lore😭
well i think it's cuz they're only theories, not confirmed lores
Twice don’t have lore. He just made this shit up.
They have in some mvs like dtna & yes or yes
TT& knock knock
Signal & cheer up
And others@@Yumedekissmeee
@@someone-kq8rh that's not called lore. Having 2 songs connected is just having a pt 2. It's just an extension of a concept.
wake up yall our favourite kpop philosopher posted💪🏻💪🏻🙂↕️

@ Ohhh that makes sensee!
Absolutely love this!
well i never thought they had lore!! they are my first kpop group to get me into kpop
You’re cooking….but also what a way to showcase Twice’s incredible career. The sheer number of title tracks!!! And they all hit!!!

Could you potentially do this for other groups too? This is a a fun video
Yeah I definitely want to! I need to study other group’s discographies more closely haha

YESS THE TWIMELINE IS BACK
guys y did i not know they had lore…. i thought all the song’s messages were just “be a baddie” 😭😭
i might just have to repost my "twimeline tour" comment here once i'm done watching
MCU would wish
13:10 …yeah!
Twimeline is kind fun
Where would you place the solos if you had too?

Not officially, this is just a theory about a storyline that connects all of their songs 😭
Based on lore???? (Havent watched it yet)
