Oh my word!! I just spent the entire day messing around trying to find a program when the solution was right under my nose! You are amazing, thank you so so so much!
I was able to learn how to do block letters on my own but you'll never know how helpful this video was to me because I've been wondering how to do this for a long. Time now! THANK YOU SO MUCH
Really appreciate you sharing this ❤ I am constantly looking for new ideas for projects to keep me busy during this pandemic. This is going to help a lot
I’m new to crocheting and just wow! Wow! You blew my mind! Can this technique be used to design a sweater? Or even a Christmas sweater that had a bunch of rows of designs?
If I wanted to make a lap sized blanket how many rows horizontally and vertically do I need to make? This is so cool. I've been trying to figure out how to do this, thanks to you, I now know. I also crochet. Thanks for any advice you can provide.
This was very helpful. But if you want to do jus a name on a 48x30 stitch, it's coming out distorted. I'm trying to crochet names onto quran covers. Any suggestions?
If you are able to open it in Microsoft Word, you can change the print to make it 200% or more. It will print on multiple pages, but you can then tape them together. This is what I have done in the past.
Omg!! Girl sending you a big hug from Alabama!! Wish I wouldve had this video 6 years ago when I first learned how to make patterns and graphgans. I use PC Stitch 10. I didn't know there were already stuff I had that came on my pc I couldve used from the get go..Could I use anything on my pc to do written ones as well?
Hi Claresa, you may need to google how to do a screen shot on your particular computer. I have an ASUS computer and to do a screen shot, I press the windows button on my keyboard as well as the "prt sc" (print screen) button on the keyboard as well. It will store the screen shot in my pictures on my computer under the filed called "screen shots". I hope this was helpful for you.
Thank you for the video! In my paint there isn't anything on the bottom to increase the size to 800, and I've been trying everything but can't figure it out! Does anyone know what i can do?
Hi Niler!! I am so excited about these Graphgan tutorials you have, I have subscribed to your channel and been watching your videos. I have some books of patterns that are done in colored squares much like the graphs you are showing but much smaller because they are color coded Cross Stitch patterns. Do you think it would be good to use these patterns for crocheting graphgans? The only thing I think I would need to do is resize them some how.
Hi Pamela, thanks for your question. Absolutely you can use your cross stitch patterns, since they are already numbered and laid out for you already. You are right in that you would need to resize them. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing! I use stitch fiddle. The basic functions are free, but for more specialized functions it costs under $5 monthly. Knitpro and knitwit are also free. I can't draw, or actualize anything on blank paper, lol, so these apps are very hepful and easy to use. I have a question though... are tunisian graphs different from regular crochet graphs?
Tunisian crochet is a beautiful technique. I personally have not worked with it in reference to graphs....sorry. This stitching technique is totally different from single crochet graphghans. It is achieved by holding several loops on the hook at one time. I wish I could be more helpful, but I have no experience in tunisian crochet graphs. Thanks for asking.
In Tunisian crochet the graphghan is much clearer, however as you stitch along you have to keep all the stitches on the needle as you work which can be bothersome.
Wow never used paint so I never would have known about this neat trick thank you so much, quick question though what if I want to make one say around the size of a coaster for example what would I set the langth and with to then? I'm not Tec savy at all and numbers and math arnt my friend so that's why I'm asking XD
Hi Samantha, I'm not sure I understand your question, but I will give it a shot. If your project changes color from black to white, you should have a black stitch that you just did and you'll be picking up your white bobbin where the next stitch will start. No two colors will ever share the exact same stitch. There is only one color per square. If the square on you pattern shows two colors, you have to decide which color you want to possess that square...black or white. I hope this answers your question.
Yes. It will look just like you image. Just remember with words and letters, you need to make sure they are large and wide enough so the words don't look scrunched. Simple increase the font size. Hope this helps...thanks for asking...Happy Crocheting!
Good morning Niler, I have a windows 8 computer and I have tried several times and it just does not let me do like yours does> after I do a screen shot I don't save and close paint, go to photo files I have to double click for it to open but it does't open in photos, I can't edit or crop.can you please help, thank you
Thanks for your question. I've only done this with Windows 10, that could be the problem. Check and see if you can download and update your windows 8 to a windows 10. I'm not as 'tech" savy as I am sewing savy. I hope this helps, Thanks for your question!
This was very helpful! Thank you Niler. I have a question thou . How can I apply this on different sizes? For example, I have never did his before, so I don't know how many stitches will I have to use for example a bag or a blanket. And what stitch to use for smaller projects , and which ones for bigger projects. Thank you .
This is why I always measure my requirements before trying to find a design, like making some chains and then check how many cm is that chain, then, based on that I find my designs
Hi Maria. You have a wish that I want as well. You are going to have to turn your photo into a picture that you will need to print on a graph. This is on my list of videos to produce. Keep watching, because it is one that I plan on accomplishing. Thanks so much for your request and I hope you keep watching...Happy Crocheting!

Yes you can! Photos are more challenging to do, you give it a try.
So clever….any way we can do this on a tablet? What ap would one use on a tablet, do you know?
This was very helpful. But if you want to do jus a name on a 48x30 stitch, it's coming out distorted. I'm trying to crochet names onto quran covers. Any suggestions?
So maybe you can help me if you have a graphan patterned already how do you enlarge the pattern then you can read it
If you are able to open it in Microsoft Word, you can change the print to make it 200% or more. It will print on multiple pages, but you can then tape them together. This is what I have done in the past.
thank you for this
you're welcome.

How do you do this on your computer?
Like on word or Excel? I'm not figuring it out
Hello good morning and thank God for finding this tutorial. Please which app are you using to design this.
I simply found an image I like, saved it to my computer, then I opened it with paint. You can draw your own design also and do the same.
@@NilerTaylor-relindesigns ok thank you so much ma, I really appreciate.

From what I've found, any picture will work, just remember the more detail the more difficult.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you
You are welcome, welcome, welcome! LOL.
how do you do a screen shot and link it to your quick access, my computer wont do that ? I'm at a loss..
Hi Claresa, you may need to google how to do a screen shot on your particular computer. @@NilerTaylor-relindesigns You're awesome !! It worked !! Thank you so much..
Love this tutorial
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Do i follow the same steps to do a blanket?
Yes you can. Thanks for watching and for your question.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
So will your graft gan only be a big as the printer paper after you crochet it.
Good question. No. Each square represents a single crochet stitch. The size will be determined by the size crochet hook you use.
Thank you for the video! In my paint there isn't anything on the bottom to increase the size to 800, and I've been trying everything but can't figure it out! Does anyone know what i can do?
Go to the 'View' tab at the top and make sure that the 'Status bar' is checked. It should bring up the bar at the bottom where you can resize it.
perfect! thx
w😍w! thank you!
Hi niler, when I try to increase my image after resizing it, it doesn't move along with the grid. Is there something I'm not doing right?
Make sure to check the gridlines. Also uncheck the maintain aspect ration when you put it your width and length numbers. Let me know if that works.
Thanks!

How do you do double? I’ve made a few in double and they come out thin and long. Do you have any suggestions for double 🙏🌹
I personally don't like double stitch for graphghan.
Can we use this for duplicate stitch ?
I personally have not used it as a duplicate stitch, but I suppose you could... not sure though.
Olá amiga quando você vai fazer a vídeo aula fo tapete panda?!💋♥️🙏
