- Nuon Chea, the second-highest official after Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot when the group held power in the late 1970s, died Sunday, August 3, at age 93. He was cremated Friday, August 9, at a Buddhist temple in Pailin in northwestern Cambodia, which was a Khmer Rouge stronghold as it fought a guerrilla war after being ousted from power in 1979. Their movement collapsed entirely in 1998.

Seeing the monks reminds me of how I went to the temple today, and this Cambodian grandma told a sad story of how her brother was just starting to become a monk, and the Khmer Rouge burned him alive. Why mourn this Khmer Rouge leader for?

Where is justice? He committed a genocide against his own people, killed a quarter of the population and did they even punish him accordingly at all? He even get a freaking grand funeral.

Wow, how these people attended the funeral of a demon and monster, sad! They must be those Khmer people who left Cambodia in 1979 and went to the jungle with the Khmer Rough army after the killing regime collapsed. Don't they see, goodness always prevail.

Just to show that the Khmer Rouge people still thrive and are still pretty much alive in Cambodia. No responsibility taken for the millions killed and to add salt to the wound they still worship the killers as hero. But for sure I believe that there will be justice and this animal will finally rot in the roaring flames of hell. And the living Khmer Rouge some already live the hell known as ”poverty hell” that Cambodia is today.
It hard to explain why they are showing respect to them if your Khmer and u know the truth about it u will understand I’m Khmer and I know why but don’t want to say it may make a lot of problem those understand about the Khmer rogue who started it first and who make Kampuchea do that

All of the comment is blaming him without learning the history that the government not allowed to teach the younger generation since hun sen came to power. I don't want to get myself in trouble here but if you guys want to find out the truth just read book The title is សុបិន្តនិងការពិត. And just to let you know it's involved Vietnam and CCP which is the party in power today That's why they don't want the younger generation learn about a history between 1955 to 1991.

I promised to tell the truth I have seen hell I heard people screaming for help I didn’t lie to anyone about my experience that I have when I was 14 years old. There were so many people was tourtur in hell I recommend people not want to go there . Please, please, don’t hurt anyone or steal things from anyone. God is 100 percent watching us .
