Cambodia - Reactions to death of Pol Pot

Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk, speaking for the first time about Pol Pot's death, said on Friday (17/4) that it could clear the way for peace between the country's warring factions. The King distributed presents on Friday to his supporters as the Khmer New Year celebrations came to a close. In Cambodia itself the stunned populace and the press were having difficulty accepting the news of the death of the man whose bloody regime had led to a death in every family.
