We also hunt in Pike County, PA. I'm no longer a member but used to be a member of a club in Lords Valley. Shot my biggest deer (8 point) where 739 meets 209 in dingmans ferry in 2021. Been going since I was young, am now 29. Happy hunting!

Great vid ! The clover plot is coming along very well, I hope you guys get a ton of undergrowth this year due to the timbering. The deer sign is a good indication of things to come. I’ll be waiting for the next one.
It seems like this should be a good year. Deer and turkeys around all winter long which is a good sign. I should have asked the guy to make that field a little bigger, but it is bringing them in and holding them.
I’ve fished pine creek many times with my father and grandfather near Galeton. I was surprised when you mentioned Gaines. We had great friends that lived there till they passed. Looks like you guys had a great time. That flatscreen is a nice touch. We used to have an old black and white TV rabbit ears wrapped with foil. Nothing but fuzz !! Thanks Tom. Wayne in Ohio.

Really enjoyed the video, Tom! It was great to see Shawn back at the cabin. The weather reminds me of many fishing trips to the mountains of downstate West Virginia. I know from his videos that Shawn has been in the general neck of the woods on some of his backpacking trips in the Spruce Knob/Seneca Creek and Dolly Sods regions. The weather of this video was the same as many of our fishing and backpacking trips. You all have a great cabin! I was always in a tent enjoying the many gully washers. Camp Cook and especially the Chairman were in fine form. Enjoy the new TV!

Me and my Cousin purchased the property in 1987 and Built our cabin in 1988. We Finally had a Home for Hunting and Recreation. Been hunting to together since I was 12 and I am now 61. Unfortunately My Cousin Passed away This past December after retiring just 3 months earlier in September. That Sucked. 38 years with one co. His Memorial Svc is this Saturday. Another great video and yes a really rainy season. I enjoyed the trips that were in turkey season but understand why you have changed that plan. Kinda saddens me as we get older and I look back at the past videos how things change but remain the same. I spend a lot of time at my cabin but the time spent with my son whether hunting or not is special and now gonna start fishing again so I can take my granddaughter. So on another note first time trying lucky buck and omg wow, the smell made me want to take a taste and I had to back off my cell cam pics as it was blowing up the camera. Thanks for that, next bear proofing the barrel feeder. Gifts for fifty, hmm might have to think about that.

How you doing Rook, love watching your show guys, I noticed in the one episode you said you were having trouble keeping bucks on your land during deer season, you might want to look into getting a good food source for the does during the rut, if you keep the dogs in their you will keep the box in there, you guys are fun to watch keep up the good work tell the chairman that for his sake he better hope the Packers don't play the eagles soon lol are the eagles will go down,
All good here, and there! Know what you mean about the food source, trying with the clover. We need that field out back tilled up and planted with something for fall, but don't think it is happening this year. Unfortunately the lay of the land prevents us from doing more than we already did, we make the best of it and have a great time. Take care!

The Chairman we got from him having the cabin (the Chairman of the board), and Cook, well he cooked a lot of good food before his rough spot a few years back. I think one of the biggest things is don't be afraid to do it. It's a big decision, but one you will thank yourself for over and over. Think what you want, water, electricity, even flush privys. Check the area around you, is it getting built up, or will be farmed or woods. Are you close to town in case you need supplies. Hope that helps, and good luck!

We had to go a little earlier this year because some of the guys schedules. Next year it should be more towards the May time frame. Hopefully nicer weather, we really didn't get to hang out on the deck or around a nice fire this year. I just wanted to let folks know what I thought about that idiot. @@whiterook85 I figured you were close to Milton. Last time I hiked up Mt. Tom from Darling Run, I turned around where Mt. Tom Road comes up to the top of the mountain because I knew it was private below there, where your cabin is. We’ve eaten at Burning Barrel and last year, Shawn was fishing under the Blackwell bridge about 2 days before we were. We’ll probably run into each other eventually. We love Tioga County and would probably move up there, except the grandkids are in south Jersey and south Delaware.
Sounds like you know the area well. I'm sure we will meet up at some point. Want to get back up, but the weather pattern isn't that great right now. Hopefully in a few weeks. Take care!

Thanks for always honoring our veterans and first responders. My Mom’s brother was killed in the Battle of the Bulge and my Dad and many relatives served in WWII. My son-in-law is a 20 year Air Force veteran and my daughter worked as a civilian identifying MIA’s as a Forensic Scientist at Dover AFB for 13 years. We go up about 10 days a month, rain or shine (or snow)

We also hunt in Pike County, PA. I'm no longer a member but used to be a member of a club in Lords Valley. Shot my biggest deer (8 point) where 739 meets 209 in dingmans ferry in 2021. Been going since I was young, am now 29. Happy hunting!

Great vid ! The clover plot is coming along very well, I hope you guys get a ton of undergrowth this year due to the timbering. The deer sign is a good indication of things to come. I’ll be waiting for the next one.
It seems like this should be a good year. Deer and turkeys around all winter long which is a good sign. I should have asked the guy to make that field a little bigger, but it is bringing them in and holding them.
I’ve fished pine creek many times with my father and grandfather near Galeton. I was surprised when you mentioned Gaines. We had great friends that lived there till they passed. Looks like you guys had a great time. That flatscreen is a nice touch. We used to have an old black and white TV rabbit ears wrapped with foil. Nothing but fuzz !! Thanks Tom. Wayne in Ohio.

Really enjoyed the video, Tom! It was great to see Shawn back at the cabin. The weather reminds me of many fishing trips to the mountains of downstate West Virginia. I know from his videos that Shawn has been in the general neck of the woods on some of his backpacking trips in the Spruce Knob/Seneca Creek and Dolly Sods regions. The weather of this video was the same as many of our fishing and backpacking trips. You all have a great cabin! I was always in a tent enjoying the many gully washers. Camp Cook and especially the Chairman were in fine form. Enjoy the new TV!

Tom And crew. Thanks for the Great video as always. Well it was Bitter Sweet though. I am hoping to get to the cabin and open it up in the next few weeks. It will be tough. Me and my Cousin purchased the property in 1987 and Built our cabin in 1988. We Finally had a Home for Hunting and Recreation. Been hunting to together since I was 12 and I am now 61.
Unfortunately My Cousin Passed away This past December after retiring just 3 months earlier in September. That Sucked. 38 years with one co. His Memorial Svc is this Saturday. Our Camps are very similar in many ways.

Another great video and yes a really rainy season. I enjoyed the trips that were in turkey season but understand why you have changed that plan. Kinda saddens me as we get older and I look back at the past videos how things change but remain the same. I spend a lot of time at my cabin but the time spent with my son whether hunting or not is special and now gonna start fishing again so I can take my granddaughter.
So on another note first time trying lucky buck and omg wow, the smell made me want to take a taste and I had to back off my cell cam pics as it was blowing up the camera. Thanks for that, next bear proofing the barrel feeder.

All good here, and there! Know what you mean about the food source, trying with the clover. We need that field out back tilled up and planted with something for fall, but don't think it is happening this year. Unfortunately the lay of the land prevents us from doing more than we already did, we make the best of it and have a great time. Take care!

I think one of the biggest things is don't be afraid to do it. It's a big decision, but one you will thank yourself for over and over. Think what you want, water, electricity, even flush privys. Check the area around you, is it getting built up, or will be farmed or woods. Are you close to town in case you need supplies. Hope that helps, and good luck!

He will be in your area this Summer in the RV, then will be heading back this way in the early Fall. I really never have fit either party, so thus the "no-party" on my voting card. My support for the police and military, and the 2nd Amendment kind of tells you which way I lean.

@@whiterook85 I figured you were close to Milton. Last time I hiked up Mt. Tom from Darling Run, I turned around where Mt. Tom Road comes up to the top of the mountain because I knew it was private below there, where your cabin is. We’ve eaten at Burning Barrel and last year, Shawn was fishing under the Blackwell bridge about 2 days before we were. We’ll probably run into each other eventually. We love Tioga County and would probably move up there, except the grandkids are in south Jersey and south Delaware.
Sounds like you know the area well. I'm sure we will meet up at some point. Want to get back up, but the weather pattern isn't that great right now. Hopefully in a few weeks. Take care!

Thanks for always honoring our veterans and first responders. My Mom’s brother was killed in the Battle of the Bulge and my Dad and many relatives served in WWII. My son-in-law is a 20 year Air Force veteran and my daughter worked as a civilian identifying MIA’s as a Forensic Scientist at Dover AFB for 13 years. We go up about 10 days a month, rain or shine (or snow)

Put the minerals on a stump. When it rains, the minerals will go into the stump, and the deer will eat the stump out.
Just learned about that at trout camp,last week, 78 year old told me😅
Normally do both, some on the ground some on the stump. At the clover field I did it all on the stump. That is definitely the way to do it.
