Another enjoyable video....I live on 362 near Wellsboro and it is nice to see our area through someone else's eyes..I am on the crew that puts up the flags in town as they are new and thanks for showing them. We have a new sporting goods store that just opened where the old Garrison's men shop was located near the court house that you probably like.
Hello Ken, thank you. Love the small town feel of Wellsboro, been going up ever since 76 or 77. The flags are a great touch, those, along with the old school gas lanterns makes it a special place. I was just up this past weekend, I missed seeing the sporting goods store, will have to check it out on a future trip. Take care!
Hello from steamy Baghdad Iraq! Former LEO as well as Paramedic working at the US Embassy. Great video as usual Tom. Catching it before the Phillies game comes on. Wife and I made a trip to the resort in the poconos recently before I had to come back to work and got to see our second game at the bank and Rhys Hoskins. Can't wait for the next one. Have great 4th! GO PHILLIES!
Hello Fred from around the world, and thank you for your past and present work. Sounds like you had a good visit back home, got a little mountain time in and a game!
Wayne , hang in there brother. I’ve been dealing with Lyme for 6 years. It’s has changed my life ( not in good way lol) chronic migraines and fibromyalgia are the worst. Finding channels like Tom’s help pass the time on bad days. Keep up the fight. Happy fourth of July everyone. Enjoy your independence!
Perfect ending tia holiday weekend!!! As always enjoy your videos. I'm disabled and with very little disability money I don't get to take vacations so your videos are the next best thing. I thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
Nice, y’all get a nice spot if they’re in the woods. I always love going up to the country before deer, season and afterwards and throughout the year just to work on the camp and everything on. Keep everything in good shape. The movie, bullet, with Steve McQueen
Rook! Loved the intro. Always a bit of work and tinkering arouns the cabin, but a relaxing place to enjoy when the work is done. Wishing you well this fall, hunting season is just around the corner. Thanks for the video! Take care brother.
Hi Tom , great to see you at the cabin which looks great after the bush hoggin and the Murphy's Law setback ( pull cord ) .That clover patch has done exceptionally well and should work great as a natural lure for deer. Little fawns is what you want to see this time of year as they are the future , a very positive sign. Fried french fries I will have to try some time . Nice big bear but hope he doesn't get any fawns. Congrats to Mike on 30 years at Verizon. I used to log in and do work on their PBX's before I retired. Say hello to the guys , stay safe and until next time RITP'S !
Thanks Ian, was a nice combo of work and fun. Thought that the bush hog would be too much after a while, but I let it do the work and it ended up not too bad. The fries turned out well, instructions call for 425 oven, but the pan did the trick. I had to do a RITPs while I was there, doesn't seem right if you don't. Take care!
Nice, y’all get a nice spot if they’re in the woods. I always love going up to the country before deer, season and afterwards and throughout the year just to work on the camp and everything on. Keep everything in good shape.
Another fantastic video Rook, I love your style and how you get up there and get things done but also relax and make it fun to watch. Big fan and keep them coming friend.
I don't know what it is, but your videos are relaxing and make me smile. I don't hunt (do fish a little) and yet all of this is so appealing to me. The way you honor first responders and veterans is wonderful and gives me goosebumps. Thank you! Happy 4th and God Bless America!
Glad you enjoy them, I do try to keep them nice and mellow. We all have enough of that in our lives, just want to give it a rest now and again. Our Veterans and first responders give everything they have to make this county what it is. I just want them to know they are appreciated. Happy 4th to you and yours also.
Hey Tom, Thanks for the segment from the cabin. Looks like you had a good mix of work and relaxation on the deck. Before you know it the leaves will be changing and the it’ll be time to get ready to hunt. Enjoy the rest of summer. Take care and stay safe!
Thanks, was a great mix, felt good knowing that it is done and that I can do it again without any issues. Know what you mean about fall coming soon. I've seen the pumpkins in the stores already.
Thanks for stopping by Joe. How many time did you say, "I could do that" during the video. Will continue to knock some more of the ferns and weeds back next year. Put up another flag pole in the front yard over the last few days. Happy Independence Day to you and yours.
@@whiterook85 Ha! I would never judge buddy. Wish I could bring some gear and knock it out for ya. It's 104 here today with 117 heat index. I'm looking at the equipment just wishing I could get out there and do something but it's just too hot! 65 degrees sounds like a dream. Happy Independence day to you as well! We picked some wild blackberries and now making a cobbler. Will enjoy that in some air conditioning! Take care!
Thanks Joe, oh I know you wouldn't judge, seems like you're getting a nice collection of equipment there that you will be able to do most anything. Enjoy the blackberries, some of my favorites besides peaches!
Hello again and thanks for sharing the trip. I am a PA resident and did my licenses and tags online. It went well. Some of my family gets 2G doe tags so we did those on the 24th. Some did close to home in 4C on the 27th. Both times waited in queue for an hour or 2 and grabbed the tags. So not too bad. Can't wait to see the next trip. I have one planned for the weekend of 20th of July to our camp.
Glad to hear you got the tag you wanted, looks like you had the longest wait so far. They are getting better from all reports. Enjoy the time at your camp!
Rook- great video and thank you for taking us along on your solo trip. The field and property is making strides post logging. Hopefully the wildlife can do a little better with the food sources available. Looking forward to the next trip in preparation for hunting season. Well done. Be safe.
Thanks, seems to be working out well. They (deer, bears, turkeys, foxes) are in there everyday, and night. Seems like there should be more for them to browse on and more hiding spots. Hoping for the best as always. Thanks again, take care!
Any ideas on how to provide more food for the game? I read about planting different trees but it seems as if mountain top game are special and it takes decades. In any case, I think your post logging plans are bearing fruit.
Know what you mean, we did try planting an apple orchard when we originally cleared the field, but they really didn't do well. It does take a long time, that's why most folks go with the clover, or some other type of food plot.
I enjoyed your video as always. Nice to get the hard work out of the way and enjoy the rest of your time at the cabin. Clover looks good. Looking forward to the hunting trip and your future videos. Good luck on the hunting this year and thanks again.
Deer are in the clover all day and night when no one is around. I had to set my camera to 1 pic every 15 minutes because it was hitting the monthly limit real quick. Like having automatic lawn mowers up there.
NICE to see your beautiful video POP up today, I hope you had a safe trip home, The Bear 🐻 picture was great 👍 Thank you for being you and have a great 4th of July very important to our country. See you next time.
Awesome video Tom! Seems like you were able to get a good bit done. The clover plot is looking incredible! Gotta hand it to you. I’ve had no problem with getting my tags for hunting. I refuse to go to a clerk to get mine. I’ve always just bought it online. I don’t have the patience to wait in the lines and run the chance that the system crashes. I know online buying isn’t instantaneous but it’s my way to go. I look forward to seeing anymore videos from the summer, if not, then on to the fall season and we’ll be counting down the days until opening day. Take care, thanks for all you do.
Thank you very much, would love to get more clover and a mixed plot in the back now. Will see if that happens, I have to check the prices on the equipment I would need. Glad to hear that PA sounds like they are getting it right now, most people have said they didn't have any issues. Take care!
As always another great camp video it's nice to have the boys around but a solo trip is always nice plus you got some work done and ate good as far as the hunting and doe license purchase i hunt management areas that didn't go on sale til Thursday so I went after work on Thursday around 6 to Dunhams was the only one there buying my license and a doe tag was in and out in less than 10 minutes wasn't bad at all can't wait til the next video, safe travels my friend
Great time at the cabin! Hey it was successful trip got some work done eat some good food seen some Deer and Bears!! Got minerals out I call this a win enjoyed the video!!
Always great seeing notifications that a new video is posted. Drove through Delaware this morning on the way back from Ocean City Maryland and thought of you. My personal experience with hunting license this year was a much smoother process than last year. I hunt in 3A so mine was on Monday of course. Had a small wait, but much better this year. Thank you for the great videos as always!!!
As you drove back you weren't far from me (nothing is Delaware is far). The word from everyone is that the license process went very well this year. Glad to hear they figured it out. Thanks again, and take care!
License was not as bad as last year . Splitting doe tags helped. 2g sold out quickly. I have a camp up there too love it there. Tom keep up with the great content of camp life
Ohio guy here(lol)Tony's strombolis were delicious.Love your vids.Hoping you and all the guys at Go Time have a fantastic and safe deer season! Can't wait to go to deer camp.
Glad you enjoyed them, and had a good time in the area. It got hit pretty hard from the hurricane remnants that went over last week from what I have been hearing. Will be up in September. Take care!
Great video! Those walk behind brush hogs take way more out of you than you might think. I have to rent one every year for my cabin up here in Maine and am always shocked at how tuckered out I am at the end of the day.
Yep, know what you mean. Tried to let it do the work with the forward and reverse, but you still have to manhandle it around. Hopefully next year someone else will be up there with me so we can take turns. Stopping and clearing logs and rocks takes it out of you also.
Great video as always. I bought my license online I have a lifetime license so it was just renewing my tags buying a doe tag and the migratory bird permit and a pheasant stamp. I had no issues at all got right on the site and was done in 5 minutes.
Hey Tom great to see this pop up when I’m sitting on the porch of my own cabin! You got a lot done and the clover looks great! Enjoyed a glass of bourbon while watching this. The cabin has really come together and looks great! Thanks for bringing us along again!
Thanks, hope you have some fun up there also. A couple cool night felt great. Clover is doing good, would like to get more growing behind the cabin again. Will see if that happens, but I was glad to get the weeds cut back.
Hello great video , i would say steve mcqueen , i also have a camp in erie pa we do alot of steelhead fishing and hunting excited for this year , love the videos !
what a surprise. A mid week Whiterook video......Glad you got to spend some time at the cabin, the maintenance never ends, but the hard work is worth it. looking forward to the next video. Great Job as always
What a great video Rook! Tons of improvements with the cutting, I’m with ya that the clover is growing better than I could have imagined. Things are pointing towards for a great year of hunting.
It did make a big difference, will have to do it again next year and cut some more of the field back. Would love to get clover or a mix of a food plot back there also.
I made church. Risser Mennonite. Was able to buddy with a 97 yr old young lady. She fell 2 weeks ago. So it was so good to see her. It was a good day and I'm full of joy. I'm thankful for your friendship Tom.
I guess there was a heavy edit on the video when that pull cord broke. 😂. I just cut the plot at my cabin as well and it is a great feeling to get that done and sit back and enjoy. Great video!
Lucky the camera was not on, but you would be right. I think they heard me in the next county. Know what you mean about seeing the rewards of your hard work, makes you feel good. Thanks and take care!
Bullitt was the movie i love mustangs i own two a 06 gt and a 89 5.0 my neighbor actually owns a newer bullitt mustang great video as usual can't wait for hunting season
Yep that was it, hadn't seen it on a very long time. Held up pretty well I think. I know Ford says they tune the Bullet models exhaust to sound like the Mustang in the movie. How did they do, I don't think I've heard one?
Thanks for the opinion. During the chase scene you can really hear it, sounds great. BTW I had the Charger back in the day (a 318) not the 440, but I really did like it.
Looks like that clover is doing good, Tom! I'd grab a soil test kit from any county extension office or Whitetail Institute. Best $15 you can spend. You shouldn't need any Nitrogen.. legumes fixate their own from the atmosphere. The test results will show exactly what and how much you'll need to get dialed in. Nice job with the mower too! Bummer on the starter cord but glad to see they took care of ya. Another great meal option... the Farmers Table in Blossburg. Excellent home cooked options and daily dinner specials. Take care!
Thanks, it is looking good, does, turkeys, and bears in everyday. I did a soil test, at least attempted it once, I didn't send them enough of a sample. Will have to do it again. Bucks should be showing in a month or so.
Watching, your video, and think of one of your other videos. Salad, salad, not sure it was two,or three salads.🤔 Hopefully you had a good July 4th,like our July 1st,family bbq,my son in law cooked.😃
Hope you enjoyed the trip up, weather was pretty good. Saturday was a bit wet, but was finished up with the outside stuff. Take care. If you see us around, come on over and say hi.
We always enjoy our time at camp. It was a little warmer than I prefer, but we delt with it. Will look for you next time we're up if you see a guy in a camouflage Can-Am defender limited on the Camp road that's me.
My next trip to Masshole, I might have to stop in Tony's. I normally take 86 across NY and stop at the best rest area I've ever seen by the Chautauqua Lake. There is also a BBQ place in Springfield I like to goto, Bubs BBQ.
We were in PA last week for vacation. We travel 15 and someday will take the drive through Pine Creek👍. Was told the park was closed for major renovations last year? Really enjoyed this video.
Nice video tom always nice to get away for a few days. I take the mosquitoes didn’t bother ya? Can’t go to mine they would pick ya and carry ya away. Thanks for taking us along
Stopped at Pudgies after first Friday in Wellsboro and got the 21st amendment Hazy IPA. Very good. Thanks for the recommendation. Missed you up here by a week. Maybe one of these days we’ll run into each other down at the Pine, at Tony’s, at Pudgies, or at the Stony Fork Country Store.
Not too bad of selection in there (there are bigger ones of course) for a small town. Just getting the cooler itself felt pretty good. If you see me there sometime, just come on over and say hello.
Clover looks good man! Nip them tops off before a rain and that clover will come back in even heavier. The flowering stage will prevent it from growing any bigger. Reach out to me if you need anything.
Thank you for sharing. Great video as always, and the camp is looking great. the movie was the King of Cool with Steve McQueen? All the best to you and your family.
Got my license at an Ace Hardware in the North Poconos, took about 10 minutes. Guess you were watching Bullet. Hey you need those “younger” members of camp to step up and do that grunt work!
Glad to hear the license went well, looks like they are figuring it out. Bullet is correct, enjoyed it, like I said was a long time since I saw it. I think I could have got some help, but I just kind of told them Tuesday I was going up, didn't give them much notice. Mike would have came up if he didn't have that dinner planned already.
Bear tag, no that's not going to happen, would be sleeping in the garage for six months. You are right on the movie, there was one (Bullet version) for sale around us. I asked if she wanted to trade the Cherokee in on it. We still have the Cherokee.....
Was the movie Bullit? Great movie if not, as a Dodge Charger fan I loved the chase scene, still the best in any movie. Those brush hogs do a good job, the field looked so good after that trim. Another great video Rook!
Yes that was it, I had a Dodge Charger back in the day, didn't have the 440 in it, but was fun. Got the area cleaned up, more to do, but happy with the result. Take care, and hope your camp is coming along also.
@@whiterook85 I had a 74 Charger that I just sold last year, never could find anyone to work on it. My dad has a 66 Mustang back in the day. Yes, I used our brush hog at the camp a few weeks ago actually.
Camp looks great ! I was in Deleware last weekend in Seaford - boy has that changed 😒 Did you do anything PSAP related with Verizon ? I'm a communication tech for a MD 911 agency, but I'm a radio/RF tech. Enjoyed your video as always !
Hope you enjoyed your trip down, you most likely went past the house on the way. Most of my VZ career was in the IT department. Thanks and stay radio active.
Most of the cameras are in the shade facing away from the sun (as stated in the directions for better pics). So there is a conundrum by the camera companies. But I am certainly willing to try one. The camera up in the field gets the most sun, I may do a swap out at some point. Thanks!

Yep, know what you mean. Tried to let it do the work with the forward and reverse, but you still have to manhandle it around. Hopefully next year someone else will be up there with me so we can take turns. Stopping and clearing logs and rocks takes it out of you also.
@@whiterook85 it's a good core workout. I got my butt whipped by one once.
You are right about that. Ate every bit of that Tony's dinner to fill me back up.
Great video as always. I bought my license online I have a lifetime license so it was just renewing my tags buying a doe tag and the migratory bird permit and a pheasant stamp. I had no issues at all got right on the site and was done in 5 minutes.
That is awesome, glad things went quick and easy for you.
I just love to tag along. I made church. All is good. Blessed. This thyroid med is good for most part. Thinking of you today. So thankful 😊
Tom glad you got up to the cabin nice job with the brush hog cabin looks good enjoyed the video hope you get back up over the summer !!!
Thanks Jack, it cleaned it up nice. More to do, but next year. If the weather holds I will be back.
I am bias probably but this is my favorite so far. I love the fact you rented that hog. Yard looks good. 👌
Hello great video , i would say steve mcqueen , i also have a camp in erie pa we do alot of steelhead fishing and hunting excited for this year , love the videos !
Thanks! You are correct on the star, do you know the movie? Nice you get to steelhead fish, good luck this year!
Thanks for the shout out. Glad you got everything done, it looks great!
Thanks Doug, glad to do it. Worked out well, will most likely be renting one again next year to get some more done.
what a surprise. A mid week Whiterook video......Glad you got to spend some time at the cabin, the maintenance never ends, but the hard work is worth it. looking forward to the next video. Great Job as always
Was watching the weather and those days looked good, so off I went. Glad you enjoyed it.
good stuff, Happy 4th. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you too, hope you had a good one.
Nice. You guys are going to do well rifle season. Thanks for another nice video Tom.
Hope so John, seems like a lot of everything around, deer, turkeys, etc.
Always look forward to your videos...
I appreciate that!
Great to see/watch a new post from you. Thank you for sharing,
Thanks for watching!
What a great video Rook! Tons of improvements with the cutting, I’m with ya that the clover is growing better than I could have imagined. Things are pointing towards for a great year of hunting.
It did make a big difference, will have to do it again next year and cut some more of the field back. Would love to get clover or a mix of a food plot back there also.
lookin good Tom
Thank you, will be up again soon.
I made church. Risser Mennonite. Was able to buddy with a 97 yr old young lady. She fell 2 weeks ago. So it was so good to see her. It was a good day and I'm full of joy. I'm thankful for your friendship Tom.
Hope you're feeling better.
@@whiterook85 it's rough
@@whiterook85 I know how to fight though. But it's rough. I hang on to ice
That was a great productive solo trip brush cutting looks great👍🏻have a safe and happy 4th 🇺🇸see you on the next one.
Thanks, sure made a difference. Will have to try to keep up with it and cut some more down next time.
Always love the videos! Good luck this upcoming season!
Thank you very much!
Great video. Keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
@@whiterook85 The neighbors bullitt car sounds really good but not like the original fast back in my opinion
Thanks for the opinion. During the chase scene you can really hear it, sounds great. BTW I had the Charger back in the day (a 318) not the 440, but I really did like it.
Thats some good livin and nice lookin vittals.
Nothing wrong with a little work and a little food. Was happy with what I got done, will do more next year.
Thanks Vernon, put up another flagpole in the front yard on the 4th. Hope you had some burgers, dogs, and some fireworks for Canada Day.
Great video. My guess for the movie is Steve McQueen in Bullet. Take care look forward for another video.
Thank you, and yes, Bullet, held up well. Will be back if the weather holds.
Great video, wasn’t expecting it LOL
Hope you enjoyed.
Awesome video, in Maryland, love to help you out. Have a Massey Ferguson with brush hog.
Thanks, wont need it again until next year I think, need to get more of it out on the right side of the deck.
Howdy from the north side of the mountain (along rt6). We were up also and rode out the camp road to the gate & back to the state land.
Will do, flag me down.
Are you up this weekend?
@@steveallison7940 No, not this weekend.
The pull cord made me laugh
Isn’t that the way it goes 😂. At least they came out and fixed it. That’s a company worth doing business with.
My next trip to Masshole, I might have to stop in Tony's. I normally take 86 across NY and stop at the best rest area I've ever seen by the Chautauqua Lake. There is also a BBQ place in Springfield I like to goto, Bubs BBQ.
It is worth the stop, the pizza, wings, and Stromboli are the best.
Oh HELL YEAH....time for a cocktail 😂😂
Hope you enjoyed both!
my hunting license purchase with doe tag was a piece of cake!
That's what I am hearing, glad they have seemed to work the bugs out.
We were in PA last week for vacation. We travel 15 and someday will take the drive through Pine Creek👍. Was told the park was closed for major renovations last year? Really enjoyed this video.
Thank you very much, hope you enjoyed the trip. Nice area, and the weather was pretty good for most of it.
This is my favorite
Nice video tom always nice to get away for a few days. I take the mosquitoes didn’t bother ya? Can’t go to mine they would pick ya and carry ya away. Thanks for taking us along
Mosquitoes weren't bad at all for all the rain we had up there. Felt good to get that cut back.
@@whiterook85 yes, the coolness felt good in there.
Will definitely come over and say Hi, if I see you sometime!
Clover looks good man! Nip them tops off before a rain and that clover will come back in even heavier. The flowering stage will prevent it from growing any bigger. Reach out to me if you need anything.
The deer can also help you with that as well!
They are helping, in there all day, everyday.
I’m thinking Bullet, correct? Another great video.
That is correct Jeff. Thanks!
I love tagging along
Thank you for sharing. Great video as always, and the camp is looking great. the movie was the King of Cool with Steve McQueen? All the best to you and your family.
Steve McQueen was the person I was hinting at, but that's not the right title. Thank you, and same for you and your!
Bears....... nice. Maybe a bear tag is in your future? I believe the movie is Bullet. I've been driving my bullet quite a bit.
Bear tag, no that's not going to happen, would be sleeping in the garage for six months. You are right on the movie, there was one (Bullet version) for sale around us. I asked if she wanted to trade the Cherokee in on it. We still have the Cherokee.....
6 months.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Would love to see a fishing video from the bay.
Trying to set something up for the next few weeks.
Steve McQueen, kick ass, like the the 2024 season will be...Bullitt
That is correct, hoping for a great season also with all the guys up at one time.
I just waited a couple days to get my hunting license. Only one guy ahead me in line. I have my life time combo, just had to buy the doe and beat tag.
Bear
Great to hear, all signs point to PA finally figured it out. Have to give them credit for it.
Hope you doing well happy 4th July
All good, a tad hot, but that the way Summer goes. Take care!
Can't wait to watch!!
Hope you enjoy!
cutting clover promotes new growth
Did some of it, and the deer seem to be doing their share too.
the bunnies in my yard seem to love it since I stopped spraying. nothing like a cold beer watching them hop and dance on a spring evening.
Camp looks great ! I was in Deleware last weekend in Seaford - boy has that changed 😒
Did you do anything PSAP related with Verizon ? I'm a communication tech for a MD 911 agency, but I'm a radio/RF tech. Enjoyed your video as always !
Hope you enjoyed your trip down, you most likely went past the house on the way. Most of my VZ career was in the IT department. Thanks and stay radio active.
Be cool to hear the story on the other two deer mounted...you may have already
Will have to try to get them in a video in the future.
Thanks Whiterook85!
I bet you said F#@k when yhst cord came out 😂😂😂I'm laughing with ya not at ya been there too
I would say you are correct, but I don't think I said it, I think I yelled it. Delayed me a little, but got done what I wanted to.
I'm gonna guess Bullitt was the movie. What County do you hunt when u come to North Carolina just curious. Thanks
You are right on the movie, enjoyed it. We normally hunt the counties around Rocky Mount, Edgecombe, Wilson, Nash.
@@whiterook85 I'm hunting southwest of there in Moore County NC
Nice area, reminds me a lot of Delaware with the flat land.
Rook your food plot looks great, show some game camera pictures.
It is doing well, hopefully it will continue to. Big bear pic last week.
You should try the new solor cameras
Most of the cameras are in the shade facing away from the sun (as stated in the directions for better pics). So there is a conundrum by the camera companies. But I am certainly willing to try one. The camera up in the field gets the most sun, I may do a swap out at some point. Thanks!
Tom, how about Bullitt?
You would be correct, I can hear those gears shifting right now.
❤
You are hilarious ❤❤😊😊
Clover makes its own nitrogen, if anything phosphorus or lime is all it needs..
May have to put some on in September. Thanks!
😭😂 the beginning!!
What there only one tow hook on the back from the factory or did you add it?
That was factory installed, all the Trailhawk models come with them. Worked out well.
Was you watching Bullitt?
Yes, that was it, still enjoyable.
