I actually think it's better this way... and I'm GUESSING that Amy feels the same, otherwise she would have put lyrics to it. 🤷 It's just already perfect, y'know? Trying to improve on perfection never ends well.
Firstly, this album was mainly composed by 2 members who are no longer in the band, so it would be unfair to praise todays Evanescence for this music. Secondly, millions of people have listened to Origin so I wouldnt say theyre underrated.
@@ellyisonyoutube4017 so, you're saying evanescence doesn't deserve praise in any capacity just because the two band members that you apparently love are gone. You're a fucking dumbass. Bands sound change its thing that happens with time. I'm pretty sure if they still had the same sound from the early 2000s you would still complain about the band being stuck in the past. Get over yourself.

Even though it's lacking Amy's beautiful voice, this is probably my favorite Evanescence song ever. It's absolutely phenomenal. Plus, it makes use of one of my favorite sounds in the whole world--RAIN!!
The music that comes in at 5:53 birthed one of the most important characters from a novel I've been trying to perfect for several years. Thank you Evanescence. If this writing thing ever takes me anywhere, i'll definitely give you all a shout out.
Any luck with the novel? I'm just curious because Evanescence's music -- especially their dark, gloomy songs -- temp me to write a horror novel. It's something I've been thinking about for quite some time.
Evanescence's most popular songs have also greatly influenced the creation of one of my novel's most iconic character. Should be done with Book 1 by the end of this year, to be published most likely in 2019, 2020 at the latest. This character is both a protagonist and antagonist at times, and I'm afraid she'll be a more popular character than my main. Ohwell, she's much more dynamic in that respect though being the anti-hero...
It's almost 2025, and I'm still listening to this amazing music. Every time I start play this song, it drags me back to 2001, I'm getting old but these songs doesn't.

Last time I checked Amy Lee straight up pretends this album doesnt exist. Like she considers Fallen to be Evanescence's first album, even though Origin came before Fallen.
@@vagevurig the band says that this is a demo album, which to be honest makes sense because early versions of Whisper, My Immortal and Imaginary are on it.

this is my favorite track from all the evanescence albums. i love amy lee's voice, so it's not because she's not singing that this is my favorite. it's just that the music is so awesome.
Let the white flowers bloom, Let the church be booked, See her family ahead loom, Their tears and sorrows hooked. Their child's demise, They cannot explain, Her little sister cries, From her death, what do we gain? Some say she drowned, Others she burned, In our hearts, she was crowned, Our stomachs churned. Her spirit was sucked out, Unable to see the light, She dared to doubt, She could no longer fight. Dared to hang, Dared to pull that trigger, Her sad voice sang, Always wanting something bigger. Let the coffin be raised, Let the flowers be placed, Her mother looking dazed, The little sister's hands interlaced. Let the priest begin his chant, Let the tears be shed, Cold and pale, the audience shan't, Remember her eyes, those eyes that bled. Their child's demise, They cannot explain, Her little sister cries, From her death, what do we gain? Her suicide, A thought from deep within, A terrible thing to decide, A thought, an action it has been.
I still revisit this track, whenever I can. Maladaptive daydreams ate up most of my life, and Evanescence was one of the artists I listened heavily to in middle and high school. I'd imagine OCs getting caught up in adventures with characters from Legacy of Kain, Van Helsing, and other fandoms with vampires and monsters in general. With this particular track, I imagined some of the OCs and canon characters on the run from enemies they couldn't defeat right away, or people hunting them down that they wanted to avoid killing. By the time the middle segment comes in, I'd imagine they found an abandoned, dilapidated home to bunker down in, as a storm touches down in the evening hours. And by the third segment, Demise, someone has managed to light a fire at the hearth. After the group is done exploring the abandoned home, they've gathered together at the fire to ruminate on how screwed up everything's become.
That's right, i have also written it in my description here: "If you play the end of Eternal the double speed, it's the beginning of "Field of Innocence" " ;)

really beautiful the part with the rain and the slow music and romantic after the rain is gorgeous.........JUST LOVE IT! I have been working on some lyrics for this song but its pretty difficult cause of the constant change of the melody.....anyway its pretty awesome song though
riding the gale and rains of a seven headed thunder cloud, evanescence presses on through the night to present their most important life work to the loyal host who have fought the terrors of the otherworld and who have risen grim but victorious from the rain soaked ash and rubble, prepared to give in to the bliss of an eternal slumber somewhere above the plane of thisworld, someplace untouched by the demonic spawn of the otherworld, someplace beyond fear, beyond weakness, beyond pain... this is eternal from origin...
