The one thing that worries me on the trail is sidewall punctures. I see many just having to use a bunch of tread plugs and hope for the best. This is a game changer for sure. I just ordered one. Thanks Dino, this is greatly appreciated.
Hey Paul,
I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Feel free to share the info or video with your trail mates.
Cheers.
Hey Dino.. glad I got to see this! I missed your clinic at the Event because I was working ! I used to fix tires as a kid at my local gas station and I never knew you could patch from the outside! I really thought it was Impossible! Great test against the curb! wow!
Hey Paul, I would definitely like to do that. I will look for you. Cheers.
I don't know how much is this tire kit, but for $15 dollar you can used a scotch pr40 or pr1500 glue and get the same results, for the patch, you used a side of a used tire, cut it with a utility knife (box cutter).
Interesting tip. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
A Must for the trail!
Hey Randy, I worked pretty well too. Cheers.
Very cool Dino … Thanks.
Hey Jeff,
Yes. Very cool. It worked extremely well.
Cheers
Thanks for doing such a thorough review! I noticed you tested on the smooth part of the sidewall, do you think these would still work if the tire had sidewall lugs or if the hole went through the raised lettering on the side of the tire?
I don’t know for sure but I believe it would be up to the task, but you’d need to sand the area of the puncture smooth in order for the patch to seal around the puncture. Cheers .
@@CheaperJeeperTVGood point, a lot of sanding but cheaper than an off road tow truck. Thanks!
Good review, but dude pot down the background music!
Got it. Thanks.
In italia si trova?
Non sono sicuro. 🤷🏻♂️
Salute!
So basically, all you need is some rubber the right thickness and some superglue.
Basically. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, give a chunk of an old car tire and some Krazy glue a try and let us know how it goes.
I'm sure the creator did just find different rubbers and adhesives and then order in bulk, but to say you could just come up with something that would work as well with stuff you have in the junk drawer is pretty dumb.
@@roydykens7376who keeps slices of rubber in their junk drawer? Honestly repairing a sidewall of a tire is what’s dumb and if you’re on a trail you should have a spare.
