What is Life Path Number 9?
The Life Path number, also known as the "destiny number," is the number that results from the numerological reduction of your date of birth. It offers insight about the core of your personality, and will also give you a greater understanding of the pathway to success in your life.

I’m a 9 but definitely don’t feel humanitarian or philanthropic at all lol. It says 9s aren’t materialistic but I could literally name 100+ cars I would buy if I had the money for and the thing I’m most passionate about is design and luxury real estate development which is very materialistic. Some of this resonates, but other things, not so much. Perhaps it's just the advice or the presumptions that don't ring true. For example, I have left a lot of jobs simply because I was unhappy there, but the ones I left because I thought I was about to get fired ... I was 100% right every time. I was either told by someone in the know that I was on the chopping block or I got fired before I found another job. My intuition in this area has never let me down.
My problem with a lot of these vids is that they try to give advice based on an ideal world instead of how the world actually works in reality. If I shut people out, it's not because I'm afraid of being hurt. It's because I can read the signs that this person is not a good person to have in my life and my intuition is sending me messages all over the place. I've never cut anyone out of my life that was worth keeping in it. But I have questioned my own intuition, only to regret it later.
To an outsider, I look like someone who should be unhappy or I'm missing out on great relationships. I am not. I love my life. And the relationships I do have are worthwhile, even if they're few. Rejecting terrible people doesn't mean you are missing out.
People tend to believe what they want to hear, which you said it does not align with reality at times. You don’t need anyone to tell you how you are like vids like this. You need to work on yourself to know who you are.

Your "Life-Path" number is NOT the same as your "Destiny" number. The "Life-Path" number comes from your date of birth. Your "Destiny" number comes from your name (given at birth) by adding the numbers using a Numerology Chart. I am a Birth-Path 9. But I have a 6 Destiny. These are two totally different things.
I recommend getting a good book on Numerology, such as "The Numerology Kit" by Carol Adrienne. That way, you can garner all of the info of your chart (Destiny, Heart's Desire, etc.) correctly.
