Thank you for sharing! What a great adventure! Which trucks did best reliability wise, modified vs stock vs 1st and 2nd gen Raptors vs regular Ram vs TRX? Just curious, I have owned 1st and 2nd gen Raptors and not drive a 2024 F350 HO SRW Tremor. I see you have one as a chase truck, how’s that truck do?
Honestly pretty much all the issues were due either poor prep/maintenance or aftermarket parts like the progressive coils on stock shocks. We have now seen over 13 trucks have their shocks separate from the shock hats on our runs. All have been running an aftermarket coil spring. So If someone is going to level their Raptor with stock shocks, due it with the lifts that replaced shock hat. SDI makes some. The drive shaft fell out due to the leaf bolts being loose. So doing a nut and bolt check before a run is important. My starter failed due to the silt and that can happen to anyone. I’ve done those silt beds several times of the years and first time that happened to me. In short - stock or stock with bolt on shocks and bump kit are the most reliable. SVC Midtravel is as far as I’d go performance wise while maintaining good reliability. I can also say we have never had a run with this many issues. We have each of these issues happen but they are usually spread across several runs. So had some pretty bad luck. This run definitely put us to the test lol. Each generation is about equal when it comes to reliability. The new 23 chase truck is amazing! The power combined with the 10 speed pulls effortlessly. I just finished dialing in the suspension and bag setup. Rides like a big couch on a cloud while towing now. Icon stage 4 2.5” lift. So 2.5” shocks, front coils, adjustable trac bar. Also added their progressive rear leafs along with some airlift air bags that I customized to worth with the lift.
One of the best videos put out by you guys yet! Why? Because we get to see the behind the scenes carnage and it's just not visiting the missions and making it seem like everything is okay. Shit breaks and we want to see how you handle it (very well by the way). I think this helps people still on the fence feel better about signing up for something like this. Great job as usual!
Thank you for the feedback! I was kind of hesitant to show the carnage because I don’t want to scare people away. We usually don’t see this much. I ultimately decided it was best to show what is pretty much the worst we’ve experienced and how we handle it. It must be karma - the video we planned to show the behind the scenes turns into the biggest shit show lol.
No doubt solo is fun. However, there's something special about getting together with a great group of people for a shared experience/adventure. There's more than one way to have fun. Just like there's more than one way to experience Baja. I think you need to experience something like this before making an accurate comparison.
They'd have to actually go down there before trolling lol. Actually, the ones who troll self identify as not having any real experience because if they did, they'd know this comes with the territory. We've had a couple toyotas on the runs over the years, several have mechanical issues as well.
Sure did on this one. It’s not normally like this. By far set a record for any run we’ve done. Most of the issues were due to poor prep/maintenance or poorly designed aftermarket parts.
Honestly want to get a raptor just to do a trip with these guys. Awesome trip.
Amazing just amazing video
I felt that when he said stock raptors don’t break lol.
They are more reliable. SVC Midtravel is as far as I’d go. After that, the reliability takes to much of a hit.
Great video as always! Hope to join you guys someday!
🤙🤙
This looks like so much fun, the meet spot is right by my house!!
Hopefully I can jump on this with you guys with the ranger raptor soon🤙
Looking forward to it!
Good to see Gordon still in the game, is he driving the Molten orange desert Raptor ?
Yep, that’s him!
Holy crap y'all had a lot of issues!

What are some of the tires y’all run for these trips?

@@Expeditionxoffroadcarnage is better! 😂😂😂
Do you think a full Carli equipped Superduty could keep up with the raptors?
No…but there’s probably a style that you can find that would work. Check out his website
Could a fairly stock gen keep up on these trails?
Absolutely! We had several on this run. There are a few basic requirements for radio, navigation, and offroad jack.
@@Expeditionxoffroad How about a gen 1 pavement princess on stock 35" tires and national rear leaf springs with a whimpering 5.4 ?
What's mounted on the roof on some of the raptors? the square looking antenna?
Starlink panels.
We have starlink satellite internet on all of our support trucks. Allows for seamless communication and tracking between our crew.
I have few questions about the Bronco fall run whats the best way to get in touch
Shoot over an email to info@expeditionxoffroad.com 🤙
Where was Kellan!
Awesome vid, why no Braptors???
They usually go on the Bronco runs. They can hang on the Raptor runs but we haven’t had one sign up yet.
I hate silt beds, but they look great on Video 😅
Yeah I will skip them next time. Killed my starter lol
And my motor.. eventually.. just took 4 more days to fully kill it!
FYI you can have more fun going solo and really experiencing the solitude !! :D

More high speed action less break down footage so the Toyota boys don’t start trolling 😂
