- Anyone can build a low cost sugarcane juicer. Our automated sugarcane juicer is simple and easy to make. Sugar cane syrup has been a stable of southern farm tables since the 1800's. Sugarcane syrup is perfect for hot homemade biscuits.
Our low cost automated syrup juicer was made with a press from Amazon and a Harbor Freight electric motor. We added a belts, pillow block, and pulleys to reduce the internal speed of the press. This press is the perfect size for a homestead. It can also be used to press sorghum. Making syrup does not have to be expensive.
We use sugar cane syrup on homemade southern biscuits for breakfast. It is also great on peanut butter and crackers. Finally, it's great on pancakes with butter.

@@joeyhardin1288 that would be a little too far. North Alabama is supposed to be too far but I planted it deep and then put about 6” of mulch on it.
I would only add a safety switch to quickly cut power in case an accident, but looks great!
