    I like how you are never afraid to also mention words which other learning channels would see as "inappropriate" and always give very life like examples.
    Very good and informative videos ;)

    so let me get this straight, in order to learn kanji
    1. remember the graphic
    2. remember the kun
    3. remember the on
    4. remember different graphic styles of the kanji when used in compound?
    thank you so much for your videos it makes everything easier

    Waw! The trick with the femal ninja and the kanji of a woman is amazing! That is why I love your channel... I know I ll never find better teacher than a native and this exemple is definitely summarising my opinion perfectly. Thanks Misa.

    Fun and funny video! Keep up the great work. Your efforts are appreciated. I don't know if I am really ready to learn a lot of kanji yet but it's fun to learn a little bit as I get better at Japanese in general.

    You should do a dedicated video strictly on learning kanji start to finish and how you learned because you make it straightforward and easy sometimes we need to slow it down and break it up into pieces to make it understandable there's so many references out there but it's just too much at one time and it's not broken down into layman's terms

    Hi Misa. Great work as always. You mastery of the English language is worthy of a gold medal and your teaching style is superb. I love the way you pronounce “woman” as “ooman”. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, rather it just tickles me. That said, you’d be laughing your socks off at my rudimentary Japanese. Thanks for doing what you do. Cheers. Lee

    konnichiwa Misa-sama, I've been watching your videos and I really find it useful, thank you so much, it really helped me learn and remember kanji easier, anyway... I think it'd be nice if there's some assessment page or documents, more like a downloadable test papers so we can assess ourselves as to how far we've learned, this is merely a suggestion *also requires much more work I guess* but it'll help me a lot. video ha arigato! more videos to come...

      I actually took the time to use Human Japanese, it’s an app that doesn’t do its job very well and charges money. It just gives you vocabulary and doesn’t teach you where everything came from. Only romaji and hiragana. I haven’t advanced enough to tell you the rest but it did bad from the start. I know most of these from it though.

    Using 女の人 and 男の人 is the same as using 女性 and 男性?
    ps: loving your lessons keep up with the great content !!! :)

    • @HANSMKAMP
      @HANSMKAMP 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that 女性 and 男性 are some kind of suffixes, meaning "female" and "male" respectively.
      - 歌手 = singer;
      - 女性歌手 = female singer;
      - 男性歌手 = male singer.

    • @JapaneseAmmowithMisa
      @JapaneseAmmowithMisa  8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Hans san is right but we also use 女性 and 男性 in more formal situations (e.g. news, books...) instead of 女の人 and 男の人. So the news would tell like "35歳の男性が逮捕されました。 (sanjuu-go sai no dansei ga taiho sare-mashita = A 35 year old man was arrested.)". But I'd never say "あの男性を見て" to mean "look at that man over there!" in both informal and formal speeches. I'd say 男の人 here.

    • @fredz5843
      @fredz5843 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you both for the replies!! They really helped.
      One more thing Misa, during the video you used 子ども instead of 子供. I'm assuming that you are trying to only use kanji that you already taught while you teach new vocabulary that might work for natives that learn the language since they are little and while they learn new kanji they adapt it to the words but as a foreigner adult I belive that learning like that (こども then 子ども and 子供 ) is counter intuitive. Personally I'd rather learn 子供 and the reading (こども). I hope that made sence.
      Ps: Once again keep up with the great videos!!!

    • @JapaneseAmmowithMisa
      @JapaneseAmmowithMisa  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There's an argument about this kanji and a lot of people (even newspapers and textbooks) prefer to write like 子ども as the meaning of kanji 供 is not great. I'm not going to explain here in details but you will often see kodomo written like the way I wrote in the video.
