The powerband on 2 stroke are something else 250 is next level then 4 stroke 250 and 450 is fire

I just bought yz125 2003 i love it i only had it 4 months the piston seized an i had to get new cylinder an piston now its good im changing the piston every 15 hours these cylinder cost 340 alot of money an piston 50 bucks an im getting really good with it practice practice an practice lol i want to race it against new bikes

@@LukseDumas well chances are if you are just getting into bikes you will not be racing, with that being said many factors play a role in how long they last. I've had 2 strokes last me over 50 hours and I've had some last only 5 hours. I would look into a trail friendly 4 stroke if you are new. You will probably never have to hardly any work to it, just basic maintenance. Do not buy a 125 if you are new to bikes, putting around on a 125 is a for sure way to make that bike lose life quick, they need to be ridden on the rail ,wide open.
got a 2021 yz125 a couple months ago and ive fouled 4 spark plugs already, I live in fl and im semi pinned all the time what ratio should i run for gas, ive already dropped the pin just need a better ratio, ive been doinng 32-1 should i do 40-1?
I run 32:1 so 4 ounces of oil per gallon
You should rejet your bike as it's too rich. You shouldn't be fouling plugs like that, unless your riding the bike constantly at like idle... Lean your main jet/pilot jet (go down in size on the jet number. Example: If you have let's say a 180 go to a 175. You can also lean out the needle one clip, your probably on the 3rd clip setting, go up one clip position. The higher upward the leaner on the needle, the lower the richer it becomes.

You shou consider a yz85. They are 50-60 lbs lighter and only make 2-3 hp less. The power to weight ratio is insane.
They are little beasts but 85’s make 25-28HP max and 125’s Close to 40HP
