I hope this game gets updated more. I had this idea that you could buy insider information on the algorithm for SpookTube to see what kind of videos it prioritizes pushing out to people. Like it could say "people like short form and quick edits" meaning you have to film in short chunks more, or "people like listening to longer uninterrupted videos, where you would priorities filming longer segments than normal to get more views. It could add stuff like "people like reactions; we're pushing more facecam shots; viewers like fast paced action; people want to watch more footage of monsters" stuff like that. I feel like you could have a lot of fun game mechanics based on uploading videos and becoming viral.
what if you found torn notes from old divers with content tips on them? ignore that they'd be old for a moment, i think something about finding other (presumably dead) divers' notes would be organic and another thing you want to find down there i'm not sure how you'd get more current advice in that case but maybe they'd be more general tips? "secrets of the algorithm" would be highly sought after, so it should feel like cracking the system in that case

What about an entity that steals the camera and then records the players a bit offscreen, and they need to get close to the monster to scare it into dropping the camera before too much film is used?

The thing about the more players mod is that I don't think it would work that well for this game. In Lethal Company, having more players is alright because they can do their own thing, run around the facility, scavenge and such. In this game, there's only one camera, and the point is recording your friends with it. So if you've got like, 8 players at the same time, they're all gonna be crowded, screaming in front of the camera at all times. Because running on your own in this game gives absolutely no reward, there's no point in getting lost or getting attacked if you're not being recorded.
I love Vinny really seems to be enjoying this game. I don’t feel like it translates over very well to the viewer though which seems ironic since it’s a game about views.
