Today's Pear fact: Pears are one of the oldest recorded fruits, dating back to ~1000B.C.E. Due to its long history, it is often speculated that a Pear could have been the forbidden fruit which Adam and Eve ate from within Abrahamic Religions. Very cool and such a fact would garner the Pear a high ranking in any fruit tier list :)
Nah, that would give it the lowest, as it's the fruit that cursed humanity to have sex to multiply, instead of just pleasure. Also forced women to have periods. Ask any girl if she'd sac pears for never again having a period, and say "never" or even "maybe". I'll take a "why".

Hey Strim, considering that the pact dice from Acolyte is a feat you can take every 6 levels like monk, what class would you take a splash of Acolyte, to have basically full eldritch blast progression on to support another playstyle? Like taking 2 levels for EB and chain, on a full caster, so that you always have a backup of consistent and free damage. I don't know if it's completely viable, but I think at least for quick racial lives I would think about doing it for sake of ease possible.
With all the focus in Necromancy, I am almost considering a splash of Wizard for Pale Master. Though I wonder if the Demon Form will overide the Pale Shroud or be allowed to have both active. I'm thinking Wraith Form, despite the Vampire granting +2 Cha, but since EB isn't a melee attack (unless the Demon Forms one is and works with shrouds), you aren't going to get getting any of that Vampiric Effect. Though the constant Feather Fall and 10%-20% incorpereal from Wraith could be useful.

Quick question. Do you think the t5 bombadier enhancement 'weakening mixture: fire' would proc from the fire pact eldritch blast from Acolyte of the Skin? so i could strip the fire resist/immunity automatically on eldritch blast.
Something like a 5alch/15Acolyte of Skin.
I replied to your comment on my other video, but same rule should apply. EB isn't a typed spell, so it doesn't count as a fire spell or acid spell or anything else, so it shouldn't work with that enhancement.

I noticed that at 19:50 you refer to an end game gearset and direct us to the build link below. But that link doesn't have any gear sets in that forum post. I see the ES build and the melee lock build, but is there another link? I am homebrewing a gear kit right now and would love your input if you've already put one together.
I ended up using other trees than the acolyte as cone blasting is just better. Gazes felt very annoying because I got often target facing errors unlike with enlightened bursts. Also I wish gaze range would be bit further. Otherwise it is decent flavor tree and maybe potential with melee build
I didnt pay attention to the early damage over regular pacts. No wonder I was confused why I cleared early levels faster with damage. Acolyte do have great potential for pastlife runs
you could use Daunting-Roar from ED to get more fear procs
Was checking out this build and trying to make it on DDO. Unfortunately, it doesn't let me take Feather Fall at level 1, so I took Fear instead for now. Also am a 32 point build, so had some to spare and put it onto Constitution just so I can be a little bit healthier during early game.
Would you suggest otherwise? And do you know anything about the unavailability of Feather Fall?
Warlocks gain Feather Fall (and some other spells) from Tainted Scholar enhancement tree cores.
I would return to ddo to try it but don't feel like grinding all my gear for fire setup

Acolyte felt great for leveling. nice defenses, casual gameplay with ok damage.

Can a tiefling play as a charisma paladin also? I know it's great for warlock, but I really am interested in the paladin.
It should work just fine imo, I’m no expert but being a charisma race it should work perfectly fine.
Absolutely! I love Tiefling paladin, it's like your character already has a very robust backstory
If one wanted to make a dungeon competent(Ish?) tank out of a warlock, able to hold hate and not die quickly at least in elite difficulty dungeons (or low reapers), would that be more viable to do with enlightened spirit or acolyte of the skin?
Enlightened spirit is tanky, has increased threat, and is better for this purpose.
When are you going to do the complete Sacred Fist? You stopped at 20 and never went back.

Edit: Can combine with ioun stones trinkets and fireflies/butterflies hats at the same time.

@@Strimtom Awesome thanks, I picked it up. It looks crazy cool in the Dark Apostate Shroud. Which is sadly the best thing I can say about that archetype.
I'm going to give this a try next life. One thing that I've noticed is the other top DDO streamer, you know who he is I won't mention his name, is exactly Opposite in his views on AoTS. I mean it is light and day, he absolutely hates it. So I am going to play through to cap and raids, and make my own opinion, but it looks fun!
Voodu plays a tank warlock for the most part, focusing on spells and not much on blasting. It is very obvious why a blasting heavy and less tanky warlock wouldn't be his cup of tea! Different play style for sure.

I think you meant to take epic force power over light since you cant access enlightened?
Light is also Alignment & Evil which you can switch your blast damage to from force.

Sorry for the bother you, but I can't seem to find whatever link you mentioned for a different warlock build to reference for gear. I was mostly trying to see whether you were using robes, light armor, or medium armor for the build. As a relatively new player recommendations of specific items to farm for would be helpful, but mostly I am trying to just trying to figure out which actual type I am supposed to use as I am not entirely sure if I either am missing a proficiency/ability somewhere or if not being proficient is less of an issue than I imagine it is.

Strange that 5-6 months after release that almost no one is playing AoTC. Maybe it turned out EXACTLY as bad as was predicted. Unfortunately the Dev's chose to ignore their player base, and just forced this hot-garbage out the door.
Depends on the people you see, but I see a fairly regular amount of people running acolyte, just usually as multiclasses for getting different past lives.
It is also difficult to exactly tell population because you will only see a small part of the player base at any given time, and with archetypes we have 21 classes to play, so getting accurate accounting is hard. Even ddoaudit.com doesn't separate based on archetype, but if they did it would be a bit more clear.
