I've been searching for a week and a half why my 13 Died Explorer XLT won't start with no warning. I've tried so many things but the point I'm trying to make is you've made THE BEST VIDEO OUT OF ALMOST 2 WEEKS SEARCHING THIS STUPID CAR THAT I HAVE SEEN YET. THANK YOU. How about one on having all power, drive fine last time I drive home, got out and accidentally Hit the panic button instead of the lock button. I immediately turned it off with my key fob and went in the house. Sat over night until the next day. Got in and it won't start. Bought a new battery. That's not it. Starter, alternator, all fuses and fuel pump all good and tested. No lights on the dash but check engine (I'm sure is my tire pressure sensor, stupidest thing ever invented) now my ex old man ran a wire from my fuel sending fuse to the red side of the battery and it will start and stay running!!!! So what do you think it might be. Trying every way first to not drop the gas tank. 155,000 miles. Never ever any problems ever. Come home, park and won't start. Fml. I've never replied to any but you really seem to know your shit. PLEASE HELP
The reason I'm thinking it's not the fuel sending unit is because of all the research I've done, it says the gas gage wont-work correctly if this is the problem. Everything in my car works correctly. I refuse to get raped by a dealership at 200$ hr.
I am from the pre-fob generation. I washed my keys and it worked for a week. Then it did not. Then i replaced the starter and it still did not start, but the starter turned when the solenoid was by-passed. I got my backup key and the car started. There were no codes for a bad key-fob.
I have a 2015 that the starter cranks but the engine doesn't start. If I let go of the key while it's trying to start the starter keeps revving. Any suggestions?
My explorer wouldn't start then I tried 3 more times and it did, it tells me starting system fail, I know that on my key my lock and unlock buttons don't work could it be my key I need to replace
I have a 97 Ford explorer and just bought a new key and had a professional come and program the key to explorer but it don't want to stay on it cranks but won't stay on to run help please I've have heard every details you explained but me telling you this what could be the best way to fix my problem pelaseeeee help meee if possible thanks

**UPDATE** It was the fuel pump that went out for my Explorer.

there's a position sensor on the transmission on the explorer that tell the car it's in park. do you have details on that?
Where is that sensor? I think I may have an issue with mine.
