Thanks for watching and the comment! The ice just came off the lake by us and we hope to get the boat on the water to make sure everything is ready to go for the upcoming season - can't wait!!! Hope you enjoy your 215 - keep us posted with your experience once you get it on the water.
Hey Pablo - our wake tower was factory installed and the racks are from the factory as well but are made by Monster Tower (www.monstertower.com). Here is a link to another video that has a couple shots of the tower on our boat: th-cam.com/video/A_xKuAY-E1w/w-d-xo.html
Launching a Boat in 8 Easy Steps!!! Launching your boat can be very easy once you learn the right steps to follow. It involves preparing your boat for launch, positioning your vehicle and trailer, backing up to the water and guiding the boat off the trailer. In the following boat launch guide, we will walk through the steps for how to put a boat in the water, whether you’re launching a boat by yourself or heading out with a group of friends. 1. Place your gear in the boat and install the drain plug. 2. Position your vehicle to back straight up to the landing. 3. Back up slowly. 4. Stop before the winch is under water. 5. Release the winch hook and tie a tow rope to the boat. 6. Continue to back up until the boat floats. 7. Guide the boat away from the trailer. 8. Slowly drive forward and find a parking space.
What lake was that? Really nice body of water. We like Lake Cumberland for the same reason, big lakes have coves that you can get back in and have some privacy
Thanks! This was filmed at Rock Lake in Wisconsin - it's a beautiful spot with lots of room to explore. Lake Cumberland sounds amazing too! We love our lake and enjoy time just relaxing on our Scarab 215.
Thanks for watching & the question! I believe what you are referencing is the surge brake lockout function. Once we insert the pin it will allow us to back up the trailer without the surge brake engaging.
@@scarabjetboat ohhh got it! Is it necessary every time to do that when launching a boat into the water? I’m picking up a 195 Open ID this week and just want to do my homework. 😅
@@vincentng4551 - from what I can tell, it looks like most of the 195 Open IDs come with trailers that include surge brakes like what you see with our 215. FYI - If you do not put the pin in to lockout the brake then the trailer brakes will engage and prevent you from backing up - no big deal, just pull forward a little ways then get out and put the pin in so you can then proceed to back up without the brakes engaging. Enjoy the 195 - these boats are a blast!!!
