Brings back memories back in the day. Had my olds cutlass 100 watt eq 6by9 Blaupunkt speakers had whitesnake cranked and made my back windows vibrate. Didn't get any better than that
Jesus, this sounds better than ever. Coverdale´s voice is clearer than the record. The guitar mix makes them sound as if you were at the studio with the band.
Omg…I just mentioned that! I was at that concert in Dallas Tx! 1986 my friend worked for Warner, Atlanta, & Electra recording labels. We had such freaking fun!
Still Of The Night Is An Absolutely Awesome Spectacular Great Straight Up KickAss Rock N Roll Song By WhiteSnake And Totally Rocks It Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume.🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Certainly heavy on the Zep!! Basically, it's just Black Dog's verses with Whole lotta Love's legendary "middle section". I guess you have to credit Whitesnake since that's who is doing it. But even that is basically meaningless since "Whitesnake" is just DC plus whoever he has hired to play the instruments. And this version of 'Snake sounds NOTHING like they sounded until the album right before this. I don't know where Lizzy comes into it but I would hear you out if you wanted to explain. Basically, this is Led Zeppelin as performed by an 80's hair metal band with the singer from a 70's blues rock group... And I love it.
@@basscom77 Okay! Did not know that. Now it makes sense. The only way I know Lizzy is "Boys are Back in Town" which couldn't sound less like this.🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂️
The Whitesnake 87 album was my lockdown album, and definitely this sounds very different. There's more separation, the instruments aren't drenched in reverb, Dave's voice sits more clearly in the centre, he sounds less asthmatic. The bass sounds amazing, and as usual, even with a more crisp presence, the Sykes guitar sound is still one of the heaviest of all time.
Neither did Tommy Aldridge on drums. That is a drum great playing who deserves all the props for laying down those memorable beats. One of my faves...Aynsley Dunbar.
Everyone here applauding this song can thank John Sykes for this entire record. David Coverdale f'ked him over hard. Go listen to Blue Murder and realize that JOHN was the song writing force in Whitesnake that brought them into popularity.
Sykes guitar sound from 1987 defined a whole era for me. Rest in peace John.
I am 64. Thirty plus years later this shit is still great. Miss those f#$kin days!
you are so right 67 and loving it
2024 and still rocking to Whitesnake...
David Coverdale, John Sykes, Neil Murray, Aynsley Dunbar
RIP John 😔
R.I.P. Tawney.
To everyone here: you have great taste in music
Respect and honor.
LIVE FOREVER "WHITE SNAKE AND DAVID COVERDALE"........ True HISTORY.
Hissssss - tory, ssssssssurely? There’s a ‘snake joke there, somewhere! 🤣🤣🤣
David and Sykes!!!!! Oh my god what a song!!!
One of the best hard rock songs made
The instrumental that starts at 3.27 with the piece like a violin was mind blowing 💥🎸
If I am not mistaken, John Sykes played this part on his guitar with violin bow. I love it too.
😢John Sykes 🎸🙏
I'm getting freaking goosebumps !!!!! This song still puts out after all these years!!!!!
This song is an instant classic 🔥 👏 ✨ 🎵 👌 🙌
Whoever remixed this should get a medal at least!
RIP John Sykes guitar legend!!!

Great times and memories Robert!
Jesus, this sounds better than ever. Coverdale´s voice is clearer than the record. The guitar mix makes them sound as if you were at the studio with the band.
Indeed and the bass is more prominent in this mix too!
@strippa D indeed he can’t sing for shit now!
It is not Jesus who is singing..

Οne of the best songs in hard rock - heavy metal !!! Ιncredibly power , melodic and timeless !!! Even 40 years later, it is so incredible !!!
Amen!!
Not 40 years, 35 years... 1987 was when it came out. (Recorded 1986) It is still incredible to this day!! Agree!!
Cant get any better
John Sykes was th brain an spinal of the most memorable whitesnake Era . IMO
@Autumn Grace Dang! I was 16 when this came out then!🖤💜🎸🎚🎙🥁
Video and music fit the song perfectly. What a great rock song and band, you just can't get any better that this!!!!!!!!!!
Classic rock at it's finest, great memories of Whitesnake and Motley Crüe co/headlining in the mid 80s, best show ever. ROCK RULES.
Omg…I just mentioned that! I was at that concert in Dallas Tx! 1986 my friend worked for Warner, Atlanta, & Electra recording labels. We had such freaking fun!
My fave 80s band. Wish I could sing like Mr Coverdale. Dude could undress the ladies just by singing
This song made my innocent 17 year old self feel things. You get my drift. Scorching song.
@@winogirlll I knew it, I knew, I knew it!!!! Wish I had that effect!!!
Still Kicks ass , liking this mix ..Good to actually hear the bass guitar.
Love this song, big fan of Whitesnake from the start, love the music.🎸😎🍺🏴
That thrusting fist. All the posing and suggestive gestures. And all done with such a straight face. AMAZING

I seen them live opened up for Dio and y and t. Also holy diver tour and it all has to be full throttle. The early 80s all to the the early ,90s
@@chriswildhaber35Whitesnake, Dio and Y&T. What a concert. It was amazing!!!

ONE HELL OF AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE! ❤
At last you can hear Neil Murray’s bass. Best version to date!
Man does this " throw" me back to very specific times!
🎉🎉🎉 "over here, baby" 🤪
Still rockin. Years back I found 100.00 bucks in my 👖 when decided to go to concert at last minute, good times.
I cannot put into words how much I love this video and song!! I remember when it came out❤❤❤
This video looks slightly different than the original! Love that too!

Sykes played on Lizzy’s last album and it was their heaviest. He brought that sound to Whitesnake for the 1987 album.

This mix is definitely better. But they ruined "is this love". The reverb was key to the vibe.
I went to see them so many times & every time They were Incredible !!!!
Best Metal love song ever!!
😂😂 Love Song It's too Hot 🔥
This is beautiful
I'd never forget the first time I heard this riff! Sounded so weird and unique!

Coverdale is one of the rock star who did well on his own after stepping out of famous band
Tres glamour couple Coverdale and Julie. Great Voice.
Even Jimmy Page didn’t do an overly great job of playing this song. John Sykes= the man!
SLB....Girl...your are literally what I was hoping and dreaming of...Hope you know how wanted you are!!!
Good memories
Monster guitar sound(s) by the one and only Mr. John Sykes! The 2 gentlemen on guitars posing here didn’t play a single note on this song 😉.
Neither did Tommy Aldridge on drums. That is a drum great playing who deserves all the props for laying down those memorable beats. One of my faves...Aynsley Dunbar.
Check out Sykes's version of the song. It's better. He's a great singer also
@@peeholio3260 I think the same applies for Rudy Sarzo on the bass. Mr. Neil Murray played that part before getting let go.
