I am really liking gundam evolution. I dont think its an overwatch clone. Its different enough and all the characters can 1v1 and do meaningful damage. You arenr stuck as only a healer, only a tank, only a dps etc... I hope gundamn last as its alot more fun and the more i play the more balanced it feels.
Personally I like gunam evolution more. I like that every character has impact. anyone can 1v1. I wish the advertising was better.
the region lock killing the game and the hype is already gone it just amtter of time until nobody play the game

Yea I like it to it’s fun idc about the hype or anything it’s fun ow is Ight they are basically pulling a madden/ nba same game a couple new whistles gundam to me feels better and if u want to get faster games go to a different server Japan has decent lobbies nice people
@@wav3zeq this! After playing mostly NA/ASIA servers, jp players are a different breed. Despite them being so good at the game, theyre also very chill and actually fun to play. Unlike in NA/Asia where u get the usual BM/toxic behavior
It will possibly get better/more ads when It hits consoles November 30th
I think it would be cool if you checked up on Gundam Evolution in a year or so to see whether anything has changed. Especially since overwatch has had years to develop whereas it is brand new.

@@MoDen31 sure does! The servers aren’t populated enough, and there aren’t enough mobile suits, but it’s still pretty good!
I think releasing 1st on pc kinda hurt this game
@@thecrazysurgeon5331 perhaps, but I can easily imagine trying to get a game onto PC’s from steam is easier than making a game to release on console as well as on PC.

I love that in Gundam the healers can actually do damage and are cool. Me and my dad almost never get the chance to play damage role in overwatch because everyone else does. Also in my experience in Gundam the objectives are better than overwatch though I can't tell if this is because of map design or balancing.

Gundam evo doesn’t seem to have woke devs. Easy decision.
Both are good, but Gundams devs are showing early on that they might be better at balancing the game then OW by nerfing the correct units instead of constantly buffing the weaker ones to madness like OW1 did.
I can definitely see that. The issue is that the best mobile suits IMO are locked behind a paywall. Unicorn and Exia are both really strong

@@MoDen31 I know they are strong, but from what I here in the community, it’s Barbs and GM-S that are the best, both are free.
Plus, those other two will be put in their place, probably around the one month anniversary as that’s when Bandai normally start adjusting stats in any of their games.
Never really like overwatch because of what there doing, that why it’s 2 star game
OW is fun as a Tank or Support and Gundam is more fun as a DPS in my view. Tanks and support feel so much better in OW but DPS feels less impactful. Meanwhile tank/support in Gundam feels weak and more frustrating but DPS can carry fights all the time.
It's funny seeing someone call overwatch a corporate juggernaut when comparing it to a small fraction of an actual corporate juggernaut
Well, i haven't played OW2, but i played the first one, and i have to say i like Gundam Evo better, i mean i feel like i still have chances to do something for my team
OW2 matchmaking is shit and u need 50 casual wins which takes like 100 games to do cus there matchmaking makes it a 50% u either get rolled or roll the enemy team
What makes Gundam better than OverWatch is you can actually feel like you can solo the team in Gundam OverWatch is too heavily team based where if your DPS aren't getting any kills and your tank just keeps rushing out to die you're not going to have fun

I think both of them have similar flaws, but I’m more charitable to Gundam EVO because I’m a Gundam fan and I’m not engaging with overwatch 2 any more until there’s enough new content to even consider it a new game. But personally, I like how no mobile suit in Gundam is strictly in a single class (except maybe methuss).
I honestly like Gundam evolution more partially because I'm a Gundam fan my only issue so far is some of the abilities like for the unicorn Gundam I love it he is excellent but one think about him that confused me was his ability that sends his 3 shields that have guns on them to only crash into the enemy like no shooting or anything and to me I felt it was lame like they could have done better like I'd say since his health is at 800 (pretty low) they should have made those shields play a defensive role like he summons them and for a certain amount of time they either float around him while standing still or as he moves forward they form up in a triangle infront of him to block damage and if he fires his main gun they fire too additionally if he is supposed to be a support he should be able to send one of his shields to a teammate to defend them from damage

As you've said, overwatch 2 is just a rerelease thats been so over hyped that it may as well be overwatch 1.2
That isn't to say that since this is bandai's first go at the hero shooter that it won't have it's problems
Overwatch is notorious for very quickly throwing balance out the window with is new characters, and reworking old ones, whereas bandai surprisingly is very quick to reply to feedback given about gundam Evo
Despite both games being f2p, the barrier to entry for overwatch is way higher than people would like it to be. It takes waaaaaaay longer to unlock a new character in overall than it would in Gundam evolution. Overwatch has a time limit as to when you have the opportunity to grind to unlock a hero, where as you can take your time in Gundam Evo (granted you don't just unlock with real money)
And then there's also the very controversial aspect that you cannot play overwatch without having a phone number, and prepaid phones don't work so they are outright saying you cannot play if you are poor enough
Totally understand so here’s a couple things. I think Overwatch 2 does have a higher barrier for entry as far as the mechanics and also unlocks. It’s weird to me that the game requires you to do certain challenges to unlock heroes. Luckily I played the first game and haven’t experienced this.
Phone numbers are supposed to reduce the number of repeat cheaters so I see it is a plus. It’d be weird to me if someone had a gaming pc or, at a minimum, a $500 console and not a phone. But I get your point
Gundams have zero characteristics to get attached to. Get unique pilot voicelines for each mech and maybe fans will stick around more
You can customize your voices to each unit. It's been in the game and everyone sounds different
Overwatch. A lot of that has to do with my familiarity with the original. But also, gundam is BLAND. It’s gray. Or brown. I’m not a fan of the map design in general or the general aesthetic of the game. The actual gameplay is solid, but it looks terrible.
Does GE have Burning Gundam?
Not yet but it's definitely gonna happen at some point. The game is begging for more melee considering how many ranged fighters there are

@@MoDen31 the biggest difference is the fact that Each Suit in Gundam can 1 v 1 and sometimes 2 v 1 with good consistent play. Supports might as well be dps with support skills in this game and I'm here for it.

I prefer gundam but overwatch obviously has more polish. If only gundam has better servers and mmr but currently its unplayeable for me and my friends. Weve been having crash issues since day 1 weve tried everything its just the game.
Hopefully they start patching Gundam and make it more optimized

Some of your word make no sense, like sure gundam EVO got some flaws so is OW2. I've been playing 2 game for so long now and i got too say that gundam have a potential if the dev can fix some stupid sh*t, i do agree with you that the maps of gundam EVO is kinda bland bc the game just come out not so long ago like we don't know dev gonna add anything like map or new gundam so pls don't compare the game like 5 to 8 year old to a game just 1 month.

Def gunna try out gundam blizzard spend more time working on the item shop then they do Matchmaking. I know I'm not alone cus I've seen it on forums and reddit that it's either a roll or ur teams getting rolled I have competive fun matches once every 15 games
Gundam Evo, has a lot of flanking routes.
Not very many on most push maps. Neutral point capture maps there are. Just sort of compared to OW2 it doesn’t have nearly as many at least in my opinion
@@MoDen31 I haven't played OW2 from what i heard from most people that play it, it has one route that you often encounter other flankers on it. If some of the maps from the first game are in it then I know you must be talking about the new maps. And I don't know what maps those are lol.

I haven't played overwatch 2 yet but I love gundam evolution! I just wish we had cross play and wish controller players would get aim assist 😪

My like 2010 CPU runs better on overwatch 2 than Gundam Evolution beta. haven't tried the full game yet

Gundam evolution all the way. I have a deep love for the IP and each mobile suit feels like it has more impact and the shooting feels more satisfying too.
