What a great week! Mr. Wanders kept impersonating Yosemite Sam all week like this...(at timestamp 2:11) th-cam.com/video/NFNQRGy5d0k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NKcXTq4GUJ6Qfit8 "I HATES Coconuts!!!" Which is hilarious because he loves coconut so much more than I do haha! I can't wait to see how much of the remaining items I can get used up by the end of next week! Make sure you are SUBSCRIBED and hit that BELL ICON to keep being notified of new content! I hope you enjoy all the GREAT MEAL IDEAS this week! 🧡💛🧡
I really really like this channel! The fact that you cook according to other people's recipes is a separate concept from all other food channels. We need to increase the number of viewers, more people should enjoy this channel!
Right? Mr. Wanders was keen to ask if I would make it again cause he loved the "just like pub food" meal but then he cleaned up the mess...haha It's a lot of sorting and prep and mess actually! But they were very tasty :D
For the kidney beans you could make a kidney bean salad for a side, hard boiled eggs, mayo, little bit of vinegar, and some sweet pickle, relish or pickles or just even some pickle juice.
Glad you enjoyed the coconut in oatmeal. I add zucchini in my minestrone, I have never tried to add corn. Good idea though! Those yellow garden beans are very intriguing to me.
It was good! I know that Mr. Wanders loved it more than me so I'll definitely be making it again :D The Dragon's Tongue beans are one of my favourties! They are very purple striped when they are ready to be picked and then they turn that light green colour when you cook them :D Very tasty, never stringy, bush bean plant.
Raspberry and or pureed pomegranate with your current ingredients is yummy. That's how I make my oatmeal but also add pumpkin pie seasoning or cinnamon.
Wow, that fried chicken had my mouth watering! You have really outdone yourself with this challenge-so many things used up in both your pantry and freezer, and such creative meals! And like everyone else, I love those adorable vintage jars! I’ll be so sorry to see this challenge come to an end:(
Right?! I bought it as an ingredient in a No Bake cake I made and now that I've found so many other recipes to use it in I'll have to pick up another bag! lol
Noooo, I never want the pantry challenge to end! 😂 these are my favorite videos. You are so amazingly creative with the meals you make. I love it! ❤. Also, those lids you used for the pudding jars are adorable!
Thank you so much Jill! 🤗 I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos! Of course I could just load the pantry all up again and go for another month...haha I think that Mr. Wanders is running low on coffee though and we both miss salad! :P
I always keep my pasta separate ( even when I make spaghetti) until I make my plate or bowl.. that way it doesn't get mushy days later in the refrigerator:)
I’ve started doing a kind of use it up pantry like you. lol I move the items to the front of my pantry and then I make my meal plan. I have bought groceries this month so I have bought a few items along the way to make using things up easier but I have definitely have gone through some of my not so favorite things. I still have a bag of pinto beans, a bag of lentils and a bag of red beans to go.
Awesome! I find it’s a great way to focus on using things if I pull them out of the main pantry and put them in an easy to see place! I used to do it all the time and then make monthly meal plans out of the smaller pantry items 👍🏼🙂
Yep I agree with taste buds. Just recently i venture out to try stuff olives with garlic. I like them now. Last year I tried a different stuffed olive and I didn’t like. I never really had an issue with foods just a dairy sensitive and a gluten sensitive. Just recently I had an allergic reaction to raspberries. After talking with a coworker I told her my story she did some research that raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry all in the same family. Over Valentine week I had some blackberries which I felt like I did after eating the raspberries before I had the allergic reaction. It’s a bummer because I do like strawberry.
It's great when you start liking new things but what a bummer to become allergic or sensitive to things that you enjoy! I love berries so that would be really hard!
I'm not a big fan of coconut myself (with the exception of coconut rice), but those coconut chicken tenders looked good. You've inspired me (as usual). Maybe I'll try to make air fryer chicken tenders for the last week of the Three Rivers Challenge.
very neat to see some different recipes. i am super interested in eating more pluses such as split peas. I would love to see a video of how you make the thai chili sauce when the time comes. We love the flavor but it has high fructose corn syrup in most us versions
Yes! I've been trying to eat more plant based protein like pulses too! It's great fun trying out new recipes :D I was so happy when I discovered that that Thai sauce was almost identical! I'll definitely have to make a video next time I make it!
I'm pretty surprised how mine have changed over the years! I mean, squash is still a problem but I'm finding new recipes to enjoy it lol I can tolerate way hotter things than I used to as well!
CROCK POT CARAMELIZED ONIONS INGREDIENTS I usually double this so I can have caramelized onion for other things 3lbs sliced onions 1⁄2 cup melted margarine (or butter) 1 teaspoon salt DIRECTIONS Combine onions, margarine and salt in a crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. I usually do this over night to use the next day or so. I usually double or Trible this recipe and slow cook it overnight so I will have it the next day. MAIN DISH PHILLY BUGERS with Caramelized onions Serves: 4 Prep time: 20-30 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes Ingredients 1 lb. ground beef 1 teaspoon parsley flakes 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, divided 4 Kaiser Rolls 4 teaspoons Dijon Mustard, divided 1 cup caramelized onions Onions, divided 1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese 2 cup shredded cheese of your choice 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained Directions Combine ground beef, 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, 3 teaspoons mustard and half of the caramelized onions. Form into 4 patties and broil or grill to desire doneness. Meanwhile, in small bowl, blend cream cheese, shredded cheese, remaining Worcestershire sauce and mustard, mushrooms and parsley. Spread the cheese mixture on cooked patties, top with reserved onions. Broil or grill 30 seconds more or until the onion are golden. Serve on Kaiser rolls
CROCKPOT FRENCH ONION SOUP You'll Need 3 pounds yellow onions, peeled, cut in half and thinly sliced 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 ½ teaspoons kosher salt ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste 2 sprigs fresh thyme ¼ cup balsamic vinegar 8 cups (2 32-ounce cartons) beef broth ⅓ cup brandy, optional but recommended 4 to 6 baguette slices, toasted (1 slice per bowl) 1 ⅓ to 2 cups grated Gruyere cheese (⅓ cup per bowl) How To Put the onion slices in a 5-quart (or larger) slow cooker, along with the butter, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. you can put as much onions as your crock pot/slow cooker will hold because they cook down and then divide for recipes! Cover the crockpot and cook on low overnight, or for 10-12 hours. The onions should be dark golden brown and soft. Add the beef broth, balsamic vinegar, and fresh thyme. Cover and continue cooking on low for 6 to 8 hours. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper, if desired, and stir in the brandy, if using. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). In evenly-portioned amounts, ladle the soup into oven-safe bowls. Place the bowls on a baking sheet to catch any spills while in the oven. Top each bowl with a baguette slice and the shredded Gruyere. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted. Turn the oven to broil and brown the tops for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and browned. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before enjoying! I usually just do a baking sheet full of sliced French bread with garlic butter and any cheese on them that we have since we usually eat 2 or 3 slices when eating one or 2 bowls of French Onion soup. I do not bother with the broiler because I don't like my bread crusty or hard Oh, this soup looks SO good, don't you agree? We love having it do all the work while we take care of other things on our to-do lists. Have you ever made French onion soup in the slow cooker before? Do you have any tricks of your own for making the classic dish at home?
I love your French Onion soup idea the best! The 50lb bag of onions I picked up last year isn't keeping very well this year unfortunately so I'm running a little low on onions, otherwise I might have to make some soup! I love a good French onion soup and this one looks very easy with the crockpot! I haven't tried in in mine before! Thanks for sharing the idea! :)
I don't, unfortunately. I got both of the new pans as Christmas gifts. I took a look on Amazon and couldn't find anything the same :( They are both ceramic. The new large one is a PADERNO and the smaller grey one is a Remy Olivier. I love them :D
Right?! That’s my new “ultra super quiet” dishwasher that apparently only makes rude noises when I’m trying to film videos 😂 😂 I’m so glad you enjoyed the videos Chloe! 👍🏼🧡
Great tip! I guess I don't mind mushy noodles too much haha I usually cook my noodles by just throwing them into whatever soup I'm cooking dry and let them cook in it! lol
Those chicken tenders looked good. I was suppose to make chicken tenders today but forgot to set them out. Might need to make them. You don’t have mint……except all that mint syrup. The coconut pudding looked good too! Went into another chest freezer today. Found some things on the bottom. Making a meal plan tomorrow. Good thing is fridge freezer almost completely clear of stuff! I think i am going to make the green bean casserole using cream of celery. Hubby doesn’t eat mushrooms and have to use the cream of soups. 🧡💙🩷❤️💚🦋🦋🦋
Yes...loads of mint syrup LOL Good job cleaning out space! I'm seeing so many great deals lately but I'm resisting the urge to fill up the empty spaces! The green bean casserole was really good!
@@JessicaWanders I have to say I lost that battle. Filled it up again. I am going thru it and starting to have holes. Going to Sam’s tomorrow for things I’m out of. Let’s hope I stick to the list and not fill the few holes. lol. It’s hard to pass on a deal! 💚❤️🩷💙🧡🦋🦋🦋

What a great idea with the puddings!! And those lids are the cuuuutest
Aren't they cute! I love having a reason to use them :D
You could use the Greek feta dressing as a chicken marinade.
Great idea! 👍🏼🙂
My kids love homemade chicken fingers but dang they are a ton of work! Another great week!

Sounds like a good meal for the camper, with a can of beans

You using the fenugreek seed reminded me I still had fenugreek leaves in the dehydrator that I hadn't put away yet,TY!!
Aha! Did you grow fenugreek?! **my interest peaked**
@@JessicaWandersI wish, this was store bought . Maybe once my hothouse is complete I could grow it then.
Rice flour adai (Yummly) uses. It only rice flour but lentils. Can season with some Shan!

Hi Melanie
add parmesan cheese to your soup. you can also keep the rinds and add them in for flavor
