    I’am a Paul Mitchell powder bleach stylist. If your client is a level 2 most have to apply bleach twice rinse dry reapply to get to a level 9 or 10. I also add oleplex1. Most clients that want 1/2 head or full head of foils are a level 6 or 7. I do like Wella & L’Oréal also Joico.

    I would like to see you try Maria Nila Silver bleach. I just started using it and my last client came back complaining her highlights were too light and i had only let it process on her level 6-7 hair for about 15 minutes. It works great at neutralizing brass as it lifts but i have yet to try it on a level 2. Curious to see how it would do.
    Thanks for these informative videos. You're saving us time, money and stress 😊

    I really think you should put it on a warm surface to replicate body heat cause I think a smart manufacturer will add that factor to the equations
    so I think a way to have a tiny heat source that doesn't go over 98 degrees applied to one end of the foil. And the special foil that comes with the L'Oreal usually is right beside it on the display but will cost extra

    L’Oréal recommend using aluminum foils with BS9 to prevent having any reaction since it is a strong lightener but L’Oréal has recently came out and said you don’t have to use those foils with it. This is my favorite lightener and I’m
    In a L’Oréal salon but I’ve never used the aluminum foils. We just use good old reynolds foils and I’ve never had an issue

    You need to properly saturate and also have the same density in swatches to compare fairly. If you notice the thiner swatch lifted more, that's because it was saturated better. Also if you split the swatches in half, cover and then do both sides it will lift more. Where do u get your swatches?

    • @MirellaManelli
      @MirellaManelli  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The swatches were saturated properly. I didn’t want to bore you with application therefore each segment was edited to cut to the point. It’s ok if your lighteners didn’t do well in this test 😅 it’s just a fun experiment. Do what you want with the results.

    On the Blond Studio 9 foils- L’Oréal makes a roll of foil they recommend for use with the lightener.

    • @TracyD2
      @TracyD2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wonder if that is just marketing or are there subpar foils made with something that can chemically react with L’Oréals lightener and what exactly is that. 🤔

    • @MirellaManelli
      @MirellaManelli  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Interesting! I think from a marketing standpoint there should be some kind of bundle deal with the foil and lighter or it should be placed right next to the lighter on the Salon Centric shelves. But that’s just my opinion.

    I worked at a salon in Alexandria, Virginia where their backbar catered to Pulp Riot. The salon owner specialized in vivid colors. However, I noticed that all of her clients were white women with fine, straight hair and their hair was starting between levels 6 and 7. Pulp Riot lightener prides itself on vivid colors; however, it mostly works for hair types and textures that were previously mentioned. Thus, the hair will lift to a pale blonde in no time. If there is a canvas that is a natural level 2 and the hair strands are medium or thick, then it will take more than one attempt with lightener.
