    Nice reviews! It's actually the N3 that is new. It bridges the gap between the old level 3 and level 2. Old level 4 is now N5, old level 3 is now N4 and N3 is the new one.Big thanks for the site reminder! Didn't know they had finished N3 level! 😁

      Exactly. The new one is N3. The gap between 3 and 2 in the previous exams was HUGE, now it's much more human. The N stands for New, by the way... 😁

    Best books I love is the TRY series, 2500 kanji dictionary and Shadowing Japanese.

    that intro killed it :D
    P.S. thanks for the recommendations and especially the last one - it looks very promising.. I am using a free app for Android called Kanji Tree which really helps me remember vocab and kanji - readings, meanings, everything (the vocab and kanji are divided into different sections depending on the JLPT levels or into the different grades in Japanese school)! I have heard that the Apple folks are using an app called imiwa or something which is similar, I suppose

    Thanks for the video! I have always used the Kanzen Master to study grammar. It is a really great series. I have N2-N4 Kanzen Master Grammar haha. I also used Sou Matome N3 grammar but it is not as good as Kanzen Master. While they sort similar grammar points together, the review questions at the end of the week are too easy. I agree with you that you should supplement it with another grammar book lol. I stopped buying so many prep books at the N2 level because I want to learn new words naturally. I bought Kanzen Grammar/Reading and Sou Matome Reading for N2. I think they are sufficient lol.

      Nicholas Leo Yeah I’ve seen that series a few times on my Amazon escapades. Why is it good? Easy to understand? Lots of examples? Clear explanations? Colorful?

    The drill book which you said has no reviews on is great, used it for all my JLPTs so far. More practise tests really. I also love bunpro, amazing resource.

    That's honestly a nice video and review about the different JLPT resources you used ;) dear wanikani 先輩 I'm working on the 4500 translation sentences from tofugu right now ;) and for the listening part I can't recommend enough to just go out there and speak to actual Japanese people (if you live in a city, THEY ARE OUT THERE) or go for Skype :D

    Thank you so much for the video, I really needed something like that!! I didn't understand why there is no new kanzen master for the n5 for exemple.

    • @Ridleyslayer1102

      Simple, have you read the kanzen series? They are too hard and strict, N5 they need english explanations or at least easy sentences, kanzen doesnt have that.

    What books would you recommed for N4 level?

    • @アメ人
      @アメ人  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The So-Matome series has books for that level as well. There aren't really that much material for N5 and N4 because the content for those exams is usually learned through beginner and intermediate textbooks like Genki, Nakama, Marugoto, and Youkoso. If you go through one of those programs diligently, you should be able to pass the N4. I also recommend looking for N4 mock test booklets as they can give you a very good idea as to what the test will be like and what questions will come up. :-)

      アメ人 First of all, thank you for the advice.
      Secondly,
      How about the book "Nihongo Challenge"? Will it be on par with all the above mentioned?
