    The Japan Foundation practice test book (the blue N5 book in your vid) is also available for free download from the official JLPT website, though $8 is not much anyway.

    You didn't put the flashcard links in the description. :P
    JapanesePod101 is very good. My only complaint about it is that they teach you in English. Each 10 minute podcast has like 1.5 minutes of spoken Japanese. I wish they did an early one "how to learn Japanese in Japanese" then they could fill the filler talk with Japanese so you're not taken out of the experience. Things like "this is how you say this", but they try to appeal to a wide audience I guess.

    Did you finish the entire Genki book to pass the JLPT N5? Or did you just study up to a certain chapter?

      INSANE WHISTLER I would study the whole book just to be sure. You never know what is going to be on it.

    In your notes for the particle「に」 where you wrote down 「三時にすしをたべます」There was no space between 「す」 and 「し」 so it looked like 「九」with an extra loop on the first stroke lol

    Have you had any experience learning Japanese with the app memrise? I've been trying it out recently and I'm finding it quite good but I'm a beginner so I'm unsure if it's as good as I think it is

    • @RickGrimes807
      @RickGrimes807 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dee Bennett I personally think it's mostly for beginners. Soon enough you'll wanna move to another source for learning. The most serious and comprehensive sources (in my opinion) are
      1) Tae Kim's app (for grammar)
      2) Japanesetest4you.com for grammar
      3)Anki or "Obenkyou" for vocab and kanji flash cards
      With those resources, plus by practicing speaking and hearing, you'll become proficient in Japanese:)

    • @DrTryloByte

      Dee Bennett Japanese the manga way is a good way to supplement the vocabulary with grammar. And for kanji wanikani seems really good although I used something else.

      I think memrise is really great for reviewing and trying to remember some "beginner" stuff. Im kinda upper beginner and I like it but I dont only use it. I use other sources of course to learn because I dont think its possible to learn a language with just one resource.
