I'd have to agree, coming back and rewatching this video after sinking at least 100 hours in the game. Marksman with the secret revolver is stupidly powerful if you can hit the coins consistently enough. I think they can even reflect Railgun shots, but I've yet to confirm that.

@@dummydummer6169 because making the player go into melee range to recover HP is just good game design when you want them to play aggressively. you also don't need to do a *melee* attack just to recover health; any blood splatter will heal you, and some of the most powerful weapons will produce copius amounts of it the rest of it takes a lot more inspiration from spectacle fighters (the style meter in particular), and other boomer shooters where freedom of movement and skill-based gameplay is paramount, which is also where doom eternal gets most of its game design from

i love how as the game progresses you start fighting bosses as normal enemies. even though you don't get "upgraded" you slowly figure out how the game works and bosses become easy
Malicious face was a problem for me in the cyber grind for a bit. I went into the sandbox and experimented a bit and found out he's extremely weak to the shotgun Now it only takes an almost fully pumped shotgun shot and a punch with the knuckleblaster and it's shockwave to kill You can kill them super quickly with the right combination of weapons

So when V1’s boot-up sequence says “approaching hell,” it doesn’t mean that V1 is approaching Hell during the sequence, and arrives once the 0-1 begins, but rather that moving through levels 0-1 to 0-5 in Prelude is the approaching process. Without spoiling too much, after beating 0-5, things start to look *really* different, and that’s when things really get fun.

For anyone who doesn't know: this game has a list of "tech" and secret interactions between weapons/abilities that is longer than many games' full list of features. Just an example: you get 3 wall jumps before touching the ground, but if you ground pound and immediately jump again you will reach the same height you started from. Combine these two to scale all walls you want. Another one: a special ability of your shotgun can be overcharged and create an explosion when you fire, killing anything around you but dealing 50 damage to yourself... unless you remember about your dash having invincibility frames, time it correctly and fire a split second after dashing for a free giant explosion. And these are two of the easy ones. You can get unlimited invincibility while sliding, deflect enemy beams with coins, parry ANY projectile by punching it, one-hit kill any enemy (including bosses) with a coin trick... the skill ceiling is almost infinite, and the game is not even finished yet. EDIT: forgot the most famous (and one of the coolest). Fire the shotgun and immediately punch to punch your own bullet and make them stronger/turn them into an explosive.

i love how as the game progresses you start fighting bosses as normal enemies. even though you don't get "upgraded" you slowly figure out how the game works and bosses become easy
Malicious face was a problem for me in the cyber grind for a bit. I went into the sandbox and experimented a bit and found out he's extremely weak to the shotgun
Now it only takes an almost fully pumped shotgun shot and a punch with the knuckleblaster and it's shockwave to kill
You can kill them super quickly with the right combination of weapons

Gonna be the lore person who points out that Prelude is actually not *in* Hell but a resource-extraction facility that Humanity built directly *outside* of Hell. 0-5 (the last level of Prelude) is the gates, “Abandon hope, all ye who enter” and all! So when V1’s boot-up sequence says “approaching hell,” it doesn’t mean that V1 is approaching Hell during the sequence, and arrives once the 0-1 begins, but rather that moving through levels 0-1 to 0-5 in Prelude is the approaching process. Without spoiling too much, after beating 0-5, things start to look *really* different, and that’s when things really get fun.

Whenever he said that the marksman was bad I knew every ultrakill player to exist had an overwhelming feeling of anger overcome them.
I've only played the demo briefly and have maybe 40% accuracy with the coin, and even I felt that.

seeing mark spamming punch instead of going for revolver headshots is a pain to me as a ultrakill player

For anyone who doesn't know: this game has a list of "tech" and secret interactions between weapons/abilities that is longer than many games' full list of features.
Just an example: you get 3 wall jumps before touching the ground, but if you ground pound and immediately jump again you will reach the same height you started from. Combine these two to scale all walls you want.
Another one: a special ability of your shotgun can be overcharged and create an explosion when you fire, killing anything around you but dealing 50 damage to yourself... unless you remember about your dash having invincibility frames, time it correctly and fire a split second after dashing for a free giant explosion.
And these are two of the easy ones. You can get unlimited invincibility while sliding, deflect enemy beams with coins, parry ANY projectile by punching it, one-hit kill any enemy (including bosses) with a coin trick... the skill ceiling is almost infinite, and the game is not even finished yet.
EDIT: forgot the most famous (and one of the coolest). Fire the shotgun and immediately punch to punch your own bullet and make them stronger/turn them into an explosive.

He should just checkout shit from New Blood Interactive. There is Gloomwood Demo, Maximum Action, Unfortunate Spacemen. So far he only tried ULTRAKILL and FAITH series.
