Thank you for this video. Plants are so expensive nowadays, glad to know this is what we can do to share and have more plants.

I was impressed with the way your Nisaku knife was able to cut through roots so easily without damage to the plant. Because the blade is so thin, has very small serrations, is very long and is not slightly concave and is hole-punched, I did not think it could be a Hori Hori. I have used my Hori Hori to divide plants and I sometimes find it hard to slice through some tough roots. I searched online and was finally able to find a nearly identical Nisaku knife on Ebay. That knife is a Potted Plants Master and has a 10" blade. It is available from the SunJoe Factory Outlet. There are uses for both style knives in the garden, so I will be adding this one to my arsenal!

Awesome. So glad I found your channel. I love gardening for wildlife. Those Hydrangeas are going to be beautiful! I think those are rice hulls as mulch, and sometimes they even are used as a growing medium. And that knife is called a “Hori Hori” knife, I’ve been wanting to get myself one for a while now. Happy growing!

My Annabelle is growing really well I am in zone 4 but now about after 4 years, I am finding it has started to send out new stalks about over a foot from main plant. Can I separate this to make another plant? I didn't expect it to put out a runner as opposed to just the clump getting bigger

Hi. Thanks for the comment. As long as it has roots you should be fine.
