I have a Pentium Dual Core E5500 @2.80 When i click on in my Bios settings and enable overclocking function It shows it's default value 200 what's the Safest to over clock and what's dangerous bro pls help me...
Hey, I overclocked my E5700 from 3.0 to 3.225 (FSB 215) and the CPU is not too hot, and I read on some forums and the CPU can run to 3.6 or more w/o increase vcore. I have a question, in cpu z the multiplier is all time x15, without running programs, and from what i know the multiplier decreases for saving power. And my FSB:DRAM ratio is 1:2. I have 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance @1600 Mhz, and my mb support max 1333 so ram runs at 1333Mhz. My mb is Gigabyte P41T-D3P Sorry for my bag english!
+Elio Abihanna Only if you overclock by too much, i wouldnt go more than 500 mhz higher , if you have stock cooler i would sugjest you only OC by about 300 Mhz for safety
Just make sure of the cpu temp, or its gonna fry. And run Prime95 to make sure the pc is stable after overclocking, read about the program first before using it so you do it right.
my spare rig uses the E5700 and in combination with the excellent coolermaster TX3 cpu cooler I managed to achieve a 3.7ghz overclock ... being a wolfdale cpu the E5700 has loads of overclocking headroom .... with a corsair H50 for example it would easily be able to cope with a 4ghz overclock .... however its mainly down to the motherboard.. strange thing though the 3.4ghz gives me a 6.7 on the WEI ... not bad for a lga775 cpu ..
3.4GHz is quite safe, whether you're running on a stock cpu cooler. I however run at a custom made cpu cooler and my case is well ventilated so i managed to overclock it up to 4050MHz (4.05Ghz). REMEMBER, the overclock is useless if you don't increase the voltage! THIS GUY IS DOING IT ALL WRONG!!!
+FrancoxoHD (Francoxovideos) you may use 2 or 4 and more tranzistors as one, but it is hard to cool them, they are very hot when pc start. to do it you may solder tranzistors by this instr. forum.guns.ru/forums/icons/forum_pictures/002113/2113334.jpg
You have a soothing voice, you should be a hypnotist

Wow from 3.00 GHz to 3.01 GHz -.-
Why does my E5700 only overclock one core? my other core is stuck at 3.0?

At normal use it stays at 40-47 °C and don't go up 80 °C with my cpu at full usage (with Prime95 or occt)
Thank you for the advice :)
if I overclock my cpu dual core e5700 can it be damaged?

+Elio Abihanna I have the same cpu at 3.3Ghz and it runs fine. stock cooler, load temps arownd 65-77ºC

.............
my e5700 boost to 4.3 ghz)) motherboard g41m-vs3
+Proga LoL How, i have a g41m-vs3 r2.0 can u teach me please, i only can get 220 in bios or the computer doesn't start
FrancoxoHD no, you must change power tranzistorsin vtt and nb voltage, it is too hard
Teach me :D
+FrancoxoHD (Francoxovideos) you may use 2 or 4 and more tranzistors as one, but it is hard to cool them, they are very hot when pc start.
to do it you may solder tranzistors by this instr. forum.guns.ru/forums/icons/forum_pictures/002113/2113334.jpg
+FrancoxoHD (Francoxovideos) but it must stand you processor power (1-2 v+) 300+mv
that cpu can handle a 4+ghz overclock on its stock cooler at 1.4v
