I have aorus easy tune and auto tune; both will overclock my cpu and sometimes my ram, however after about a minute it returns to stock speeds

Something that wasnt explained as far as i can tell is that you would want to set your cpu ratio to above your mhz of the cpu right? I first started off at 10 and my cpu was running at only 1k mhz. I had to set it at 30 to be above my 2.9k rated cpu to see an increase in speed.

Do not use canned air for your pc not only are the fumes bad for parts, dust can get blow into places it shouldn’t be.

This is not a good video for CPU overclocking. They literally START the video with a Ryzen 5 3600 @ 1GHZ which is not stock settings...Please use other youtubers videos on overclocking and 175F or 80c at idle already means your CPU is going to be damaged just by turning on.

is there an easy and quick way to reset everything after awhile?
It depends, seems pcs have a factory reset in the bios wich you can use to wipe the overclock, but If they find out you have oc it the warranty is voided

When u do something wrong, ur pc will protect itself by resetting everything

NEVER CLEAN UR FANS WITH AIR WHEN THEY ARE STILL CONNECTED TO THE MOTHERBOARD!!! OR MAKE SURE THAT THEY DONT ROTATE.
when the fan blades of the fan are spinning an electrical charge is built up; if u use (f.i.) a vacuum cleaner with a lot of power u basically can kill your motherboard ..

I changed the mhz of my 9600k from 3700 to 5000 and my monitor has turned blue yet I can't boot up bios because I can't turn the pc off and I don't want to unplug it whilst it's on the blue screen in case it damages it, this urgent I NEED HELP IDK WHAT TO DO
EDIT: I FOUND IT OUT, I JUST HAD TO HOLD THE POWER BUTTON AND WHEN IT TURNED BACK ON I TURNED THE 5000 MHZ TO 4300MHZ

just dont go above 3.6 Ghz then. dont take the risk
Make sure your temperatures are low enough. Your CPU won't boost higher if you don't have enough thermal headroom.
Also make sure you enable Speedstep or whatever term AMD uses on your motherboard in BIOS.

guys guys please don’t touch anything with the voltage in your bios unless your a technician or whatever. Trust me bad things will happen to your pc even if you watch a video please i cannot stress this enough for you to not mess with voltage even if it’s for the cpu

It's not that hard. Just don't go over 1.4 volts. If it crashes, change your voltage or CPU multiplier. Changing voltage isn't that scary

Overclocking reduces the lifespan of the CPU. If you are just casual gaming you don't need overclocking.
By how much? I don't have a problem buying a new one every 3 years if it's needed

This is complete bullshit, I don't know why people keep saying this. In basically every case it will fail far later than how long you're gonna keep your CPU for. Unless you're legitimately using insane voltages. Newer CPUs usually don't have as much overclocking headroom anyway, but you can have 24/7 OC for many years.
