So great to see kiwis talking about this, There’s such a weird sentiment around property in nz, like “it’s the only way” when we have so many other investment opportunities around us. I thought buying a house would solve all my problems, it was quite literally the most stressful time of my life, I still don’t understand how i was pre approved for a mortgage as an electrical apprentice with a partner who was working part time (this was 2016) If I had held on I probably wouldn’t be where I am now, running my own business, investing in other assets outside of housing and finally doing better than surviving.
i think the problem is the people who are talking about buying now because of fomo are the ones who panic sell when the price starts to crash, which it inevitably will. you either believe in bitcoin for whatever reason or you dont, the price shouldn't matter. Same as a stock, the only reason you should buy a stock is because you believe in the company and believe it can grow over the long term. Any other reason for buying a stock/crypto or whatever you're just gambling
As money printing and global liquidity continue to rise to devalue fiat currencies , the likes of bitcoin, gold will appreciate. In other words , bitcoin will be a new store of value to hold for the long term . Demands from govts and institutions continue to rise whilst bitcoin supply decreases = perfect scenario . Now, if you want to build accelerated wealth, then reserach and buy utility altcoins as alt season hasnt kicked off yet. Crypto should be part of a balanced portfolio of stocks, real estate, precious metals, bonds as it has the most growth potential with insane gains for those who do their research and are patient
